Swamp, BK3, Manamon, more or less solve their gameplay styles. The only thing I've missed in BK3 (and maybe it's there and I've just missed it) is a column scan to speed up looking around block-by-block, and the sonar helps with that in some ways.While I like Top Speed 3's style, it does rely on a linear track. It feels like it might struggle with the level of detail that even oldschool games could have (see: offroading in Superhangon, which was most dangerous close to the road, rather than out in the desert). Superhangon also made use of hills to screw with how far ahead you could see, though I'm not sure how common that is in general.These all amount to giving the player the same tools they could have in real life, except better because they don't have the same physical limitations. Swamp's radar is basically a cane that can also hit high, and can have much higher reach than actual canes. BK3's Sonar is essentially the same thing, as is its ledge echos, and the camera is basically feeling around with extendable hands. Manamon's walls could be any manner of RL wall detection—hands, canes, echolocation. Top Speed 3 basically has a super-accurate GPS. (So does Swamp, for that matter. It's basically the Trecker Breeze / the ability to sa "Hey Siri, where am I?", but more accurate).

@mhussain, you can use the buttons to go through the perks on the portal screen rather like buying equipment. I'm at 4k myself at the moment, though have also done a few challenge 2 runs to build up my helium gained and trimp attack. I am always playing trimps, but only sometimes play overly actively, sometimes I'll just run to a map and have my trimps farm for a day or two to build up weapons to let me progress to higher zones even when it isn't quite as time efficient if I don't want to devote a lot of time to the game. For example, I'm just finishing a size run in challenge 2, and was going to portal at 130, but being christmas and busy, ended up hanging on, and since I'm now at 148, I thought I might as well hang on until 150 to get the extra bonuses. maybe I'll do a quicker run or two next.

Wow how would retroarch make the story of 012 playable? I mean how would it help in finding the gateways? There comes a point later on where you will have to destroy several things before you can enter the gateway and you have to find each one. I actually think the breed memorial example is a good example of how to judge distances between jumps and walls.Shadow line is another good example of top-down adventuring the style of classic zelda, plus it has graphics so the sighted player can get a visual feedback of what's happening. The same is true of audio strike and virtacle shooters. For sidescrolling action games, I would reference bk3 for its inclusion of horizontal shooter levels. Marina break for breakout style games, which to this day are still present in the mainstream.

Hi.Yeah you gotta figure out when to buy what resources. Always check for basic resources like energie cells, if demand at a production place is low and they're not paying much for them, you can expect the production to be running good so far and they may have a full hold of stuff you can get.Do you still have the links to the mods and script somewhere we need? Hi.I also would say that the radar system in AHC is something devs should look at, also for example the beakon system would be good to have them noticed.Regarding things like driving, a hybrit of the topspeed mechanics and those found in games like audio ralley racer would be good, so an announcement where the next turn is and a countdown depending on your speed, so you can make adjustments.In a racing game you could have something like.Right 45, left 32, the numbers meaning the steapness of a curve, so if you have a 45 degree or a 32 degree angled curve.Greetings Moritz.

Thanks for the recommendation, Darin.I'm still continuing with my current game, I wanted to get auto-exploration working today with my Discoverer but got sidetracked wandering around Argon space in my Mercury instead. The scripts are definitely working quite well, though there is a lingering bug in the map script I hope to solve sometime soon.This time around I'm definitely becoming more aware of the way the supply chain aspect of the game works, which is the whole point, I suppose. I made the mistake of buying a cargo hold full of ore at bargain rates only to find that everybody was already glutted with it. Eventually managed to sell for a high price but it took longer than I anticipated.I hope to be able to claim some abandoned ships soon, but I'm in no hurry, as mapping the universe is quite fun for the moment.As a note, I installed the Terran Conflict Plots Mod, which enables the storyline from X3TC along with the expanded gameplay in AP. It's nice to have a reasonably peaceful universe to wander around in for now.I'll keep everyone posted as I explore new areas of the game, or if I make any scripting changes.

so I found out that turning the notification level to 66% will dim the desktop and NVDA will read stuff. Turning it down to 33%will not work because the desktop does not get dimmed,... so its a strange thing. For one, when you are booted, try pressing control plus alt plus delete to display a secure screen. NVDA should read that dialog fine using a oneCore voice if you have not copied your settings.I was curious, why is it recommended that the desktop be dimmed? wikipedia had the answer:User Account Control asks for credentials in a Secure Desktop mode, where the entire screen is temporarily dimmed, Windows Aero disabled, and only the authorization window at full brightness, to present only the elevation user interface (UI). Normal applications cannot interact with the Secure Desktop. This helps prevent spoofing, such as overlaying different text or graphics on top of the elevation request, or tweaking the mouse pointer to click the confirmation button when that's not what the user intended. If an administrative activity comes from a minimized application, the secure desktop request will also be minimized so as to prevent the focus from being lost.

In terms of looking for games, this is the main place and part of the function of this site is  sharing information about accessible games, but there are a few others, for example Applevis found here, for anything Ios and Mac related.and The pcs games fantastic games and where to find them list which is a generalised list. Also The audiogames archive, which hosts downloadable files of audiogames, especially abandoned ones. On major sites like itch.io there are  very few audiogames ever published, and usually where tags do exist for accessibility they are not applied correctly.The usual way people find new games, apart from either here or applevis, is looking at categories of games which might be made accessible, or potentially accessible EG browser based, text based games and then contacting the developers for needed fixes, as was the case in infinicrawl.There has also been a more recent movement of some developers making more graphical games accessible on mainstream platforms such as Xbox and steam, although steam itself is highly hit and miss accessibility wise. We've seen a few good things through this such as sequence storm, the rhythm racing game, but to what extent that trend will continue I'm not sure, since generally speaking the larger the game's studio, the less interest they have in accessibility, Nintendo, Capcom etc very much included, hence the desire for complex games in the community.

so I found out that turning the notification level to 66% will dim the desktop and NVDA will read stuff. Turning it down to 33%will not work because the desktop does not get dimmed,... so its a strange thing. For one, when you are booted, try pressing control plus alt plus delete to display a secure screen. NVDA should read that dialog fine using a oneCore voice if you have not copied your settings.

I may be pushing the envelope of audiogame as it's a text game, but I feel like the best way to make an RTS accessible is A Few Minutes of Glory, and how it handles all of the meters on screen.Topspeed is a good example of an accessible racing game, though it wouldn't be arcade racers as well.

So, I fell sic around Christmas, and have experienced one of the most painful throat infection in my life yet. the effects of which I still continue to suffer well within the start of this year.Still, I do think that I am getting better slowly, so that is something. but seriously, this all has cost me around two weaks worth of web development classes.I expect that I will reach the prime of my power, (basically fancy way of saying reaching full adulthood,) so we will see whether I manage to take over the world or not.I am still reading spellmonger, and I really do wish that there were more books about magic which explore it like a scientific field, but not set in the medieval ages.While spellmonger definitely explores the magic, it is set in the medieval setting.

Look at breed memorial. When you are approaching any obstacles that you need to jump over, there are three ascending tones. These tones warn you and tell you how far away you are from the obstacle. You should also look at the radar system in a heroes call. They can use this to tell you when there are openings, doors or walls around you. don’t forget about the wall tones in the manamon Games.

Unfortunately, Trajectory, what I'm saying is that when this is projected using the voice of that character, it may not be part of the actual narrative but it is absolutely part of the experience an end user will glean from it. It feels a little clunky and forced, and it gives people an excuse to latch onto it, go "Hey, see, right there! She friggin' said it herself!". It validates cultural misogyny, even if it is a thing Sangora might well have thought and might have articulated. You, and by extension Aaron, made the choice to include this line, and so the ramifications lie with you.Now, is it an enormous deal? Not really. And I'd agree that the blame is roughly 50-50. But it's still a thing that happened and something which made me cring when I read it. First thought was like "aww, dude, don't feed the beast."

This windows 10 is so alike win7 and so different in the same time, but I just have to get used to it, I guess.@10: I always install nvda on all my systems I use. I generaly don't use a portavle copy unless I have to, for example whenever I have to use a computer that is unequiped for blind use, but it is more truble than it's worth for win7 and 10, so I might use narator or, if I'm allowed, install nvda or jaws at that point.@11: Yes, that was his, hmmm, problem, I figured he might just as well try that option and now eloquence speaks the secure screens, but with me no luck so far. I would try that, but what if some secure screen, uac for example, pops up during the copying to ask me if I allow whatever to happen and I am stuck? How the hell did narator manage it? Should I just reinstall nvda all together and see what would happen then?

For anyone who doesn't know yet, Brandon Cole has begun using Retroarch in his streams. He broke his limits even more than I probably ever will by tackling Dissidia Duodecim's story mode head on, and even finished, I think, the first chapter of the 12th cycle. make sure you're copying the contents of the assets folder, not the assets folder itself. For example you should have a %appdata%/RetroArch/system/ppsspp/ folder which contains flash0, lang, etc.

Again, I apologize. Seems like I'm never doing the correct things for everyone. I just thought it would be easier to hear it from the horses mouth. If you listen to the interview with Subham From the CMR team. The situation in India is starting to calm down. Everyone is going back to work. He said, (updates will be available by the end of the month). now that I know that some individuals would rather read it then listen to it on a video, I will do my best to keep everyone updated both ways. Although it wasn't intended to be as confusing heh.So what I'll do is label the sections of the area tab and remove the chest from the area tab once its open.EDIT: Ok, I did that. The chest object in the area should now disappear when you use the key on it, and the sections in the area tab are now separated by a level 5 heading so you can cycle through them easily enough.

#299: It sounds like the browser window is too small.  The mobile version of the site is broken, so when you open it with a smaller window, it won't have any links in the menu work.

The skype that is in Windows 10 by default, for some reason, does not play sounds when I get messages, so I either have to check every few minutes, or I have to wait for my windows sound skeam to open and close a process really fast, which is quite unreliable.

@Jayde, where exactly does Aaron himself state that the disease is Sangora's punishment for her actions? Sangora does make a statement to this effect, but it is certainly not stated as some kind of narrative.I gave Aaron an outline of the story which he molded to fit within the context of his game. The line you are referring to comes directly from me. I stated that Sangora believes her disease to be "justified karmic punishment for her actions". It is simply the individual character's views on her own situation, not the views of the main character or anybody outside the fourth wall.My own world views would divide the blame roughly 50/50, were both of the characters adults. Since they aren't, then I would blame the fact that neither one was mature enough to chew what either of them had bitten off. Perhaps on a subconscious level, part of these characters and their attitudes stem from my own tendency to look back on mistakes I made as a child and let my own conscience put me on trial for them as an adult.

@10, the beautiful thing about the engine is that it generates async versions of sync methods. So you can just call the async versions of the operations you define. In all the languages I've checked out all the async functions end with the suffix 'async'.

Also? I've now listened to the stream in question, Trajectory. Thanks for pointing me at it.Needless to say I won't be listening to any more of it. I haven't been that angry in awhile.Because no. Again, cheating is not a good thing to do. But the sheer misogyny in that stream makes my blood boil.I didn't hear a single comment about how Norman basically ran off on Sangora, or how, when faced with a tough situation, she even sold off her manamon because she wanted to try to see Norman one more time, to cheer him on or whatnot. It's not really cool that she was unfaithful. eing unfaithful is generally something one doesn't do in a monogamous relationship. But just fucking off and leaving your partner alone, especially when you're both young, isn't something you should do either, and I find it pretty telling that this wasn't even commented on.Again, it was executed clumsily, which adds to the issue. On one hand I can hardly blame those in the stream for acting as they did, because Aaron even had Sangora state that maybe this was her punishment, and all that. Makes me wonder if Aaron holds these misogynistic views as well, and whether or not he would've written it the same way if it was a dude who'd been unfaithful. Hell, if it had been a dude in Sangora's place. I wonder if he'd even have -thought to make him unfaithful at all, or are we playing with the "loose woman" stereotype here?Just a cauldron of gross, IMO.

Eshcon's identity was actually kind of neat, and redeemed him a little bit.I still say that the Sangora plot line would have been even better if it had been written better. i.e., the frame of the story is decent, and got me interested, but the words used and the way it was all constructed lent itself to problems.Shades of Doom: great huge installation, and only two toilets, one on floor 2 and one on floor 5.By contrast: no toilets in Kiarre itself, yet there are five or six in Requia Castle alone.

I just had some more time to play around, and here is what I have found.When creating a proxy, unless you specifically tell the program to do it in another thread, it will wait for the connection to be established. This solves my connection issue, but raises another question:If the engine blocks the current thread when connecting, does it do the same when sending packets to the server? Do you have any ideas on how to test this in Python at least?No luck on the current object. Seems to return everything the same for the two clients I had connected to the server. Damn. May have to do it with a hackish way of sending a request for an Id upon connection. Unless, of course, I'm overlooking something, in which case do point me to the section that talks about detecting differences between the clients.

Although it wasn't intended to be as confusing heh.So what I'll do is label the sections of the area tab and remove the chest from the area tab once its open.

#295: The Tiger handheld games seem to be supported by MAME, which does have a core in retroarch. For getting games without viruses, simply don't download any executable files, like .exe or .dmg. Always choose "Download with Browser" or "more options" to get a file. For example, PSP games, PS2 games, and GameCube and Wii games will be in the .ISO format, N64 games will be in .n64 format, NES will be in .NES format, ETC.

@2 That's not necessarily true. Nintendo did add Zoom to the Switch in the spring of 2019. So the likelyhood of Nintendo adding accessibility may not be as low as we think.@8 I did a thread about spoken menus in late November. As I see it, it's one of the little baby steps to making games accessible. I've been told that implementing accessibility isn't that easy, so taking the small steps like spoken menus is a good idea. Then we get into gameplay aspects being made accessible

Need Help with Manamon 2 (Spoilers)

Note: This thread contains spoilers for the plot of the game Manamon 2.Hi all, I'm stuck in this game. I just got back to Kiarre after solving the murder mystery in the little town that didn't use technology. I believe I have 4 stadium keys, the last one being in Suly City. I need to figure out where to go next but I can't find the rout to the next town, or failing that, I can't find friggin' Okima or whatever his name is. Either way just a hint of where to go next would be super helpful. I don't need a whole walkthrough or anything just some tips on where to go next.Also, I've gotten past several obstacles in the Cave of Fates but I'm stuck at the ice. I assume I'll find something to help with that eventually but no luck yet.

Look. Here is how I feel. Everyone may not agree with this, and please note this is not intended to put anyone down.It was the day of the update and the game wasn't out. No big deal. Maybe there were difficulties with Apple. That does sometimes happen, and Apple can be weird about these things sometimes.A week later, and there's still no update. By this point, I'm thinking that maybe they're still trying to talk to Apple, but we're beginning to get a little frustrated.Two weeks go by with still no word. Ask for an answer and we're given that it's being worked on, but not much detail aside from that.Now, it's been one month, and still nothing. I can understand that things come up. It's natural. But if we start getting in the neighborhood of a month later than the promised release date, why not just post here on the forum? This is the place that has the widest audience for audio gamers because well, it's the audio games forum.I can't stress enough that this post is not designed to put anyone down, it just shows how I feel, and maybe how some of the other people here feel. If this bothers anyone I'm sorry, but I don't know how else to say it

@8 totally get where you're coming from, but...Altruistic reasons are no good either, it needs to be from valuing blind people as players as much as anyone else.Compliance is a driver but not the only driver. If it was the only reason then only the patgs to the Comms functionality would be accessible and boring else, but when with their first stabs devs are going much further than that.Even if it was to only ever go as far as menus, that still has lots of value. People who can see well enough to play but can't see well enough to read text, there are a great many people in that situation. Games that are based solely on interfaces, like Hearthstone or Football Manager. Games without any CVAA relevant functionality at all that will still end up with voiced menus due to the way things like unity and Unreal are being influenced. Then of course games that have accessible gameplay. For some people inaccessible menus are just as much of a barrier as inaccessible gameplay.. not everyone is inclined to slog through OCR and menu guides, nor should they have to.In all, just view it as a step. When you picture your dream scenario of accessible mainstream games, I have no doubt that accessible menus are part of that. So it's a step down the road towards your dream scenario.

Yes, Humbabang does transform again. It also gets better moves eventually. I think the main difficulty is that its favorite types are spread a bit diffusely over the game areas. For example, raising a plant type can be easy, because there's lots of oceans where you can destroy things. There's a swamp with a bunch of poison types too, so magic will have a field day there, but that really only works up to a point. After that, you're stuck with areas where feral manamon are as likely to kill you as they are cannon fodder.

Holy cow pretty much mows down hyper maustodon all on its own because it hits like a truck and its accuracy can't be lowered. There has to be other things that can do this too but holy cow is the one I go with. The others are just along for the ride. If they hit, great.
