Extremely impressive. The coverage of different disabilities looks excellent.To those of you worried about difficulty, consider a much, much simpler and less accessible example. In the Mass Effect trilogy, you can tweak the difficulty such that enemy encounters are virtually impossible to lose. It becomes just something you do for the sake of progressing story. Purists will say that you're wrecking the game by skipping puzzles or making combat easy, and if your game lives and dies by your mechanics, then okay, fine. But Mass Effect didn't and doesn't; you get as much out of it as you want to.And this game is no different. If you want to play the game but are really not big into having a challenge - I know a few people here who are like this, and no harm to them for it either in this instance - then you can do it and enjoy yourself without having to deal with someone's arbitrary decision that you have to experience the game this way and at this particular difficulty. This is, in a sense, also a commitment from Naughty Dog that their game does not live and die by its mechanics. They expect you to enjoy the game for its story and whatnot, not just for how easy it is to find ammo, shoot enemies or explore maps.Now, when shit like this happens for RPGs that aren't shooters, I'm going to be all over it. But I don't have the disposable income for a PlayStation or the game itself, sadly, so while I'll listen to a playthrough at some point, I won't be picking this one up.

It's true, but the services are free for a reason...  You pay with your data.Only when it gets unreasonably private does it bother me.  Because who knows what future databreech or changed law might mean my past data is now a weapon to be used against me.I have things locked down tight, but not so tight that I can't use the services I need.  Even so, I know I could do more if I really cared.I do think it's very important that companies disclose exactly what kinds of data they are gathering and why though, even if opting out isn't an option.

We as people with no vission or very little can for sure do crafts. Woodworking is one, pottery, and stone carving.  I used to do pottery in highschool and was good at it, and I also used to stone carve. with those arts, you gotta let the stone piece or clay tell you what it wants to be. you will know what that is once you start handling the material.

Yes the BGT parser isn't the greatest, particularly when it comes to reporting large-spanning errors like mismatched braces or quotes. Just caught up, and I agree with you re: Sangora, and your thought experiment as well for that matter. I think everyone has fault in that situation, and everybody forgets about the dude who got Sangora sick in the first place. I'd say his fault is worse than either of the two teenagers. But unfortunately, I think the way Aaron wrote pieces of the story - Sangora wondering aloud if this was her punishment for being unfaithful - while perhaps true to life also led directly to people just jumping to the conclusion most of them did. There was a playthrough I listened to parts of earlier this year, and it reached a point where I had to skip large parts of that story arc because the people doing the stream were laughing too hard at Sangora. Made me very upset.Nice team, BTW. Your Mortrex is ungodly slow for its level though. Molandon is almost faster, which is surprising.AFAIK, Vishthaugh's ability silently builds its defenses only when its HP goes down. I'm pretty sure they drop again once the HP goes back up. It's still a pain to take down though, and if you let it get set up with Manatize, it's relatively quick and can sweep your team, as you've got two members who are double weak to holy.

If you build some parts of your game without using max module... How max module that you connect to your game can understand that other parts that aren't modules? You have follow a standard to max plugins can understand these parts or really is matter of each plugin create an understandable communication system.And... when you want to have a comersial game. closed sourced, for your company, and use other giant tools like unity and only use max to add these things that unity can't give to you how works that? manamon2 uses SQLite to store variables. when you change them in memory, it will check that with the one stored in the database, if they don't match, it will crash.

AproneToday at 11:10 PMI'll try to pass this message around, but as you may have noticed, Swamp throws an error when you try to run the game.  I've just spent 3 hours with my web host's tech support, and they're waiting on their engineering team to figure out what's wrong.  Well more specifically they're waiting on them to fix what's wrong, because what's wrong is that the 3rd party company they work with for data tracking has screwed up somewhere and is injecting tracking scripts into ALL messages coming from my server.  Normally it is supposed to happen as people visit actual web pages, but this is going into everything, erroring out the normal chatter Swamp exchanges with it as the game is launched.Until they fix things on their end, we're stuck.  I could code up a way around this by having the client recognize and cut out the garbage script it's receiving, but that's a pretty time consuming solution to what's hopefully a temporary problem.

Well, personally, a name like Blindy Connect is just ugh, I wouldn't listen to any station, no matter how good its content, with a title or branding like that. This is coming from someone who made that mistake, i.e. I once had a podcast with the word blind in its name. While there were probably more than a few reasons that it never gained popularity, I can't help but think that one was probably the biggest. Yes, I know that things like Blind Bargains and Blind Abilities exist; however, what I'm trying to say is that you've got to overcome some pretty significant hurdles in order to make yourself valid when you've got that strike against you.

Google is all the fuck over the internet. Even when you're not logged into a Google account, it still builds some data up on you, although maybe it would be less accurate and show you things that others in your house would be interested in as well. But if you are logged into a Google account, everything you do on the internet is pretty much tied together, because everything integrates Google libraries. From Google recaptcha, to ads provided by Google, etc.

Yes it will.  Imagine a sheet of paper with all the web sites in the world on it, spread out everywhere vaguely by category so that all the blindness ones are close together.  Google just figures out where you'd be on the sheet of paper.  Except that the sheet of paper is million-dimensional space.  It doesn't know that you've got a screen reader, it just knows that freedom scientific is close in million-dimensional space to what you normally look at and also it's a bit close to what you google'd for, so here you go, maybe you want this one.  And you clicked it, too, which to the machine learning stuff is just confirmation that it's figured you out.  People at Google don't even define the categories as far as I know, the machines just do that as well.Mind you the actual algorithms are trade secrets and we don't know how they work until many years after the fact and also it's not million-dimensional space, it's graph traversals, but things way more esoteric than screen reader get involved.  Google knows (and reinforces) your political opinions, for example.  Not in a conspiracy theory way, but just because people click on things they agree with which feeds into the machine learning algorithm which goes "My goal is to get clicks" which...etc.

@55For distribution, if you convert to mp3 you can distribute at literally 10 times less the size. I converted Swamp once as an experiment and it went from around 800MB to around 80MB.And fortunately MP3 is now patent free so we'll be supporting that this time, probably before ogg because the thing I found for ogg kinda sucks.

@52You can get the latest artifacts from the CI page. Click artifacts and download the zip, you want synthizer.dll.But two things.First, it's probably premature to make bindings.  We're hitting usable in the sense of could technically use it, but if you give me another month or so we should hit usable in the sense of you'd want to actually make a game with it and won't be converting all your files to .wav.  I'm glad to see a lot of enthusiasm from everyone, but at the same time I don't think I've made a secret of this being relatively early development, even if things have sped up enough that I generally have something new once a week.Second, I won't be accepting PureBasic wrappers upstream because doing so implies that I'm willing to maintain them myself should you or whoever else is involved walk away.  Even if someone else is maintaining them, being in the official repository means I'm responsible for testing/reviewing/otherwise ensuring quality, reviewing pull requests on it, etc.  Getting a binding into the official repository in general is a pretty high bar, being as I then become responsible for making sure it's always up to date.PureBasic is incredibly niche, commercial, and I can't even get a working CI setup so basically that means I'm out $80 or whatever it is and instead of just getting an e-mail when I break it I have to remember to manually test it by hand anytime I change anything.  For anything else involved here Appveyor just sends me an e-mail "Hey your build failed" and after I put another hour or so of effort into it I'm literally going to be able to do releases by typing two commands at a terminal and having lunch (and just getting an e-mail "hey your release failed" later).  Even if I decided that PureBasic was the most important language in the history of languages, I could literally do 4 or 5 more mainstream languages with the same amount of effort it would take for me to keep up with it.  For what it's worth,  all of this also applies to BGT, though in BGT's case the real issue is that the tooling needs to have a terminal to work in CI.I'm not saying don't do it.  I'm not saying it's valueless. I'm just being realistic about your chances of getting me to put it in camlorn/synthizer, i.e. that there are none unless I decide to lower the bar for the project, and trying to offer an explanation as to why I'm telling you no.

I have been thinking of restarting my game to get the new updates and monsters, Thus far s rank is my best but there is obviously more to go. One thing I am wondering, is are there any actual bennifits to letting your monsters live out their lives and die a natural death? spoilers ahoy! I really like the sequence where that happened once and the idea that it unlocks ghosts and other types, but it's a shame there isn't more, EG basic incremental stat boosts for starting monsters, or the like.It also seems that in the game I always found far more fusion items than I ever actually used for some reason as well, and I wondered if I was missing something there.

If the advice given by the others hasn't helped, try this. You want to turn off hybrid shut down, it causes issues. Win X then O, go to additional power settings, then to change what the power button does. Click on change settings that are currently unavailable, then uncheck the fast restart thingie, then nope outta there. Also turn off hybernation because the hyberfile.sys can get massive. It affects boot times, but the drivers are then properly initialized and the effect it has isn't that bad.

That's fine, but you could have just used i directly instead of making i be an integer and indexing into map yourself.  Until you understand this, you'll keep having these issues, and you'll have an extremely hard time with dicts and sets, where whre range(len(x)) won't work anymore.

Learn git, start using git, then you don't need to throw out projects anymore.  Based on everything I have seen on this topic the BGT parser is broken and there is no workaround so if you want to keep using BGT and this is so much of a problem that you're throwing out projects, then the only real answer is to figure out source control so that you can back a change out and try again.  I won't provide a git tutorial here, they're a dime a dozen on Google.

Well, to be honest, if you have a thing that's made of lists, dicts, ints, floats, and strings only, you can save yourself a lot of trouble and:import json

x = json.load(f)I might be slightly off on the file ones though.  But it will just handle all of this parsing for you.  If you need something human editable that's a little bit harder, you might want to write your own parser, but the JSON dump and dumps functions take 4 or 5 arguments that make it pretty and there's also pyyaml and toml which have almost the same API but write things in a format that's even more friendly to humans.But to answer your question, you can do lists of strings, but the indexes aren't strings, the values are strings.  I don't know what BGT has, but as far as I know the AngelScript arrays don't have string indices either unless AngelScript did the thing where you combine arrays and dicts, which I don't think it does.  I'm pretty sure you're misunderstanding how arrays work somehow.But for your code itself, for i in map gives you the elements in the list, so map[i] isn't necessary, just use i. If you want i to be the indices you need for i in range(len(map)), but that's the long way around when for i in map is good enough.  Python for loops are not BGT for loops, you're getting the values of the thing being iterated over.  I'm not going to explain further unless there's something more to be said that's not in post 99.

Well, the title says it all. I've gotten this error so many times and its caused me to scrap and rewrite code, and hec even start small game projects completely over from scratch ust because of it. I made an edit to the main file, sb.bgt, after trying to add a feature and extra message if you do something. Well, it says in a section that has multiple right braces after each other, that there is an unexpected token. I did not edit anywhere near where that code even is, and i've checked  everything that i can remember changing for missing semicolons, non-closing of quotes, and not putting a closing/opening braces to a code block. Is there anything that is linked to the error like an unclosed quote or unclosed pair of braces?
