If this box gets unchecked, adobe reader will give an error saying document settings are set in such a way to prevent access. There is a solution to this though. Upload the pdf to a pdf lock removal website. Then use FineReader to convert pdf to an accessible pdf. I had to do this process many times when reading academic articles. This process yields a totally or mostly accessible document. A large number of these won't even read properly or come through on articles, even if you use the jaws dictionary, which I discovered later on. I still firmly believe braille is absolutely a requirement when learning the symbols and associated sounds, as well as easy transcription. I actually added my issues to NVDA to add support for these to read properly etc. But in my bachelor degree I didn't receive any support at all from the disability services, and the NVDA issue was ignored along with all the others I ever reported. Just because you may live in a developed part of the world for your education and have everything handed to you on a silver plate doesn't mean everyone else gets the same. Don't comment on my work ethic without knowing me at all iether. I am far from someone unwilling to do the work. While I can't say I've heard of a Netendo, I can say that the Nintendo Switch costs $299, just like that big Amazon Echo you mentioned. Have you ever held a Switch? It's pretty tiny, and makes a lot of sense as either a secondary console, or a primary one. Regarding your accessibility comments, the Nintendo Switch is actually pretty accessible, minus a TTS feature of course.As far as "not giving a f*ck" about this, why put down those of us that want to push accessibility of videogames forward? Why simply settle for what we have now? Settling didn't get us TLOU2 on the PS4. Most audiogames, with the exception of the RPG's, are played in short bursts. In other words, perfect for a hybrid console like the Switch. If it's the U.S. then you might have a case but you're going to spend way more time and money fighting it than just moving.Also PDF to Word isn't necessarily straightforward. Word to PDF is easy, but PDF to Word is harder because of reasons. I believe there's some buttons that they can hit sometimes that just make it accessible but if it's like my building, they scanned paper forms or something and there's not much that can be done.Ask them to read it to you or help you fill it out. Run OCR over the lease. Etc. If they can't give you accessible files *and* can't accommodate you in another way, that's when you start having a good case against them. Accessibility law doesn't generally say how they have to accommodate you, only that the accommodation be reasonable--both on your side and theirs.My advice is pick your battles. You can honestly manufacture a case against housing people if you want. It's legal and easy enough, but you'll spend a lot doing it. Do you have a case? Depends how much you're willing to do to have a case here honestly. If you throw enough resources at the problem then you can totally engage the legal infrastructure and have at it. Being somewhat of a regular audio memos user myself, I am glad to hear that the app will still be updated in the future. I say somewhat of a regular user because Just Press Record is now my main recording app, both because of stereo recording and because of slightly better accessibility. Just Press Record is really a great app. I particularly like the recording transcription feature, though it's not great as it uses apple's dictation software which certainly has its problems.I'm going to ask a question I asked here a while ago, but did not get a response. There is a feature supposedly in audio members that is something like "Control on Lock Screen." I cannot get this to work properly. What I want to be able to do is to control recordings even when I am not in the app. I currently cannot do this unless I am inside of the app. The same thing applies to Just Press REcord. I would love the ability to control it when not inside of the app.Even though I mainly use Just Press Record, there are some things I really like about Audio Memos. One of those is the bookmark capibilities. From what I can tell, Just Press Record does not yet have this. Audio Memos allows yoiu to set markers when you are playing recordings and come back to that spot later. This may also work when you are recording. They keep saying to me we can't change the files because that is altering the file format from a pdf to a .docx. Re: spanish tts voices I think recommendations as to what Spanish to listen to are too subjective.I am a native Spanish speaker, who grew up in the US, and most people speak Latin American Spanish, of which Mexican is arguably more prevalent, depending on region.It really just depends on learning goals.There will always be bias, but I personally think Mexican Spanish is easier to understand.And many variants of Latin American Spanish do not pronounce c, z, and s the same.Some variants will omit s, some will exaggerate z, etc.But yes, the two common Spanish voices available are common Mexican and common European Spanish voices, with one or two Argentina voices, and even a Puerto Rican voice around somewhere.And typically, the TTS Latin American voices are more of a Mexican Spanish sound.When I learned all the other languages I speak, I actually started reading the language in Braille before picking a text-to-speech voice. This got me reading and pronouncing on my own from an early start, which helps more in the long run. school laptop having a kind of awguard problem Hello. It is me again with a properly stupid question, i guess. So i got a laptop from my university today. I can not tell which modell exactly, but it is a hp thing with 4 usb ports, nd pretty huge. And completely out of metal. I guess this thing was expensive. It also works fine. But a few mins ago something weird happened. I was hearing the sound of my tablet indicating that the batery was low so i was hunting for the cable on my desc. Then the cable of my router (fritzbox) was on the side of the laptop for a few seconds. When i touched the laptop then i noticed that it was feeling like kind of under, extremely low, voltage. It did not stop working or any thing just this small voltage. I could also literarely swipe it away. It did not return yet. Is this normal? Or should i look after my router, laptop or both? I suspect this is the laptop how ever and the router also never made problems. I run the game with NVDA Translate and ClipReader. I'm not sure if that's the reason that all dialog outside of the tutorial reads for me, but it doesn't hurt. As an aside, Dreamland and its relative Lyxl can be run with latest version of Locale Emulator so that NPC and, in Lyxl's case, most of the story can be read via screenreader. As long as it hasn't been overwritten it should be recoverable. I don't know about different recycle bins. Sounds interesting.
