3 sports sims on IOS

just thought I would mention these 3 games I found a few weeks back on the ap store that were accessible,hockey agent. basketball agent and soccer agent.the cool thing about these games is that you can try them all free for 4 seasons to see if you like them before buying,then its just a 1 off payment of 2.99 per game.the object of the games are to find young superstars in the making, finding them teams and sponsers while fleecing them along the way for your 10% commission,you have to be careful though as you have to build up your reputation in order to upgrade your office so you can sign up nore clients,the goal is to get to 100% game completion as quickly as possible, you do this by purchasing everything in the shops, luxury cars, mansions etc.honestly guys I had hours of fun on them, the game interface is similar to football chairman.if anyone knows of any other sports sims accessible please let me know as they are my favouri
 te style of games, no browser games though, I hate them with a passion.

Thanks Connor for the reply,I forgot to mention that I can't stand browser games, not only do I find them aggravating to navigate the games are time scheduled which requires you to be online at various times of the day, for me that's not fun more of a chor.

Plea to all developers

Hi All,I have now been blind for 10 years and in that time not 1 football manager game has been made accessible, with exception to football chairman obn ios, but that do not count as you cannot choose your team on match days.I have written to e a sports, sports interactive and eidos to try and convince them the interest it would generate if they were made accessible.   I mean the games are 95% text based so it should not be a major issue surely?football chairman has made millions in sales on ios so if developers can just see what they have achieved potential is there.Hell I would accept any sports management sims, NFL, NBA, NHL.  Anything, its that desperate.Hopefully a talented developer like Aprone will see this post and see theres a lot of potential in this genre, because we are seriously lacking in the sports field of audio or accessible gaming.Please don't suggest Hat Trick because its god Awful, also I was told I 
 Club Manager was accessible on ios but I found it was not, anyone else here has tried it?best wishesShrike

I forgot to mention, there was a sports sim called stable masters, the objective was, you start off with £5 then you buy 2 year old horses and enter them into race meetings throughout the year, training them, buying in there feed, choosing there jockeys etc, it was great fun and I believe that would be accessible.  The last time I had it was over 10 years ago on windows xp but it was mainly text based and I think it would work using a screen reader. If anyone has a set up file to that game so I can try please post it here, I am sure it would be abandon ware now.

N.A.soft Tube Sim question

Hi Guys,I was wondering if anyone knew if this game was finished?    the reason I ask is because upon going through the training I noticed the dead man switch don't work,   either holding down the tab key or pressing F12.Is anyone else getting this issue? or am I doing something wrong.  I even tried skipping the training and just do a few free runs but I can't move my train.

sorry for this double post but theres 1 more thing I am confused with.There is an alarm system that goes off if you ignore a signal, only it comes on for something else as well.   Anyone know what that is? it won't turn off and its really annoying.Could it come on if the train is late? or lights not being on or ventilation etc.It would be nice if it told you why it was blaring in the background.

I find this post incredible, for this main  reason.1. for years I have been badgering EA to make Football Manager accessible, which by the way is 98% text based, and they proceed to give me excuse after excuse saying it would cost to much money for little profit. I actually disagree I believe there are thousands of blind people just waiting for these types of games. Just adding sounds and and a million button combinations and expecting all blind people to have a rain man memory bank is just unrealistic.

The fastest way to grow is to join an alliance.contact an alliance leader to request a join.if you join a good alliance they will help you with resources to build much faster,   also the alliance may have a recycling program whereby you can capture fully upgraded castles with no  resistance.

thanks for the reply dark,I have noticed that it was bad sound packs rather than the actions that was the problem.although I got used to the greenday sound pack I really could not understand the face the music pack at all.    also I downloaded a pack called animals and that was bonkers as well.I just got rhythm heaven and that's easy to follow, so I guess its just hit and miss.

well I have created 5 fighters,   no idea who they will be fighting and when, it just says will find an opponent within a week.I had 1 sparring session whereby my boxer Mustapha poo was beaten to a pulp 11 of the 12 rounds, and what I noticed between rounds is that all the fight instructions were set to 6, you should be avle to give instructions before each round, having to complete a whole 12 rounds of a fight before it starts is stupid, as the fight can change per round, also if a fighter gets knocked out in round 2 it was all for nothing anyway.Caccio, have you any fights yet? also do you set each rounds tactics? it would take forever heh

hi,I have no idea why Nicks games are not working, I use windows 10 and they both work fine.as for other sim games euro fly is an awesome game and with all the new updates its even more enjoyable,  luminals is also a fun sim and was actually the first audio sim I tried.not sure if nick adamson is working on anymore projects but I have emailed him with more suggestions and ideas, I find nicks games to be well made and they have the feel of a big company that's made them not just 1 guy.I was also hoping aprone would release another simulation type game because he is another talented developer but I must confess I hate first person action games, which ironically his most popular 1 is swamp.these games can be found in the database on this site.

well my main reason is my 2 sons play the xbox 1 and they play grand theft auto and ark respectively,to me accessible is certainly more preferable, but if its the case of loading up a game and randomly pressing buttons hoping you make the correct selection I see there being no difference in just using the old xbox 360.this thread lead me to believe the console would read out all page elements, so if I bought an exbox 1 and football manager 2017 as the game is primarily text based the narrator would read the screen.

how do you find out who your fighters are fighting there next opponent, I can't find it anywhere.also after your boxer has had a sparring bout does the fighters attributes go up naturally or are you allocated points to increase them manually.

couple of beatstar pro questions

I just have a couple of questions relating new game packs.the first is are there any other sound packs that have different music but the same commands to follow like smack me, pinch me etc.which leads me to the next question,  when I downloaded the face the music pack, I find it so hard to follow the new commands, partly due to the fact the sounds are not spoken in words like the original and partly because the learn new sounds is not set up correctly.what I mean by this is,  it shows you the sounds the buttons make when pressed but not the sound that requires said button to be pressed, so it makes learning new packs to difficult for me.I was hoping it would be the greenday soundtrack for example but with the smack me commands, so if there is a setting to change it I would appreciate it if you could let me know.

hi guys,just a quick update on my adventure on KODP ,  I managed to complete the short game which was fun.I am currently playing the long game and so far I have not got a decent enough leader, also all my people seem to worship either ernalda or uralda which makes it difficult during sacred time.and still I cannot get the descriptions of the treasures I own, if anyone has an I phone 7 and has noticed this please let me know.thanks to the article on the map I seem to have a much better understanding, although in my opinion its the 1 thing that needs updating for the new players at least.if anyone has an I phone and have considered buying this game I can only recommend it, I have had hours of fun on it exploring lands and raiding neighbours so much they have to leave the area, lol.its the most satisfying game I have purchased so far on IOS, and considering when this game was made its a shame there has not been many more like it.

at the moment I am currently into webl boxing manager, but as its a browser based game it certainly won't be classed as fast paced, heh.on ios I am playing king of dragon pass and lords and knights still.to be honest I am awaiting future material updates to euro fly, man I really enjoyed it while there were tasks to get.  as for mudding I have only ever used mush z for alter aeon so no clue how to use any other clients to try any other mud.I like games with longevity, loads of tasks and achievements to get.I played alter aeon for 5 straight years and could honestly say its the best audio game experience I have had since going blind. due to extreme burn out and changes I could not comprehend it anymore and felt it was time for pastures new.its a shame there are not many games of a type I like to play available. however I am constantly looking.

thanks Dark,sorry for the late response just got back from holiday.while playing the game over the week however I have noticed something else that I am confused with.   the treasures, it does not do what it does on your audio demo.   what I mean by that is, when I select the treasure it do not read out what the effects are, I flick all over the screen and cannot find it anywhere.  I am starting to think it could be an I phone 7 thing.

guys you need to step back and think carefully before you vent your opinions.although I don't like playing rs games because I find most of the player base to be sad little babies who log off if they are losing, the games are free of charge and people are giving there spare time to make a little joy in this blind world I now find myself in.constructive criticism  is fine, but a lot of the posts quite frankly sound like they are coming from spoilt little brats.as for the blindfold games someone mentioned, again I don't find them engaging enough to want to spend money on them, for example the family feud game is practically unplayable for me because the questions are American orientated and some of the words I never even heard of.  same goes for the wheel of fortune game, they might be phrases in the states but they certainly aint in the UK.but honestly I could go on forever explaining whats wrong with the blindfold series but I will le
 ave you this 1 peach.    there is a game called match the anthems to the country,  I was enjoying it up to the point when  it seem to think the welsh national anthem was the flower of Scotland. lol

thanks caccio,I try to avoid online browser games for the very exact reasons you mentioned above.   however if you own an I phone there are 3 games out there that are very accessible.football chairman pro.this is the closest game I have found to a football manager game, you cannot pick the starting 11 on match day but you control everything else including stadium building hireing managers, buying players etc.    also it has a neat editor where you can create your own league and create the real players like lionel messi.2. hockey agent.this game is great fun, you have to recruit your on group of young stars in the making and find them eventually NHL teams while fleecing them for as much cash along the way, buying luxury cars, mansions and even own your own cruise ship.3.basketball agent.the same as the hockey game only obviously its the NBA.and for the guy who wanted to know about stablemasters,  it was a
  game made in 2001 and it was on a cd rom, also I played it on windows xp, not sure if it would even work on windows 10 to be honest.anyway caccio, it seems like you and I have very much the same taste in games so please keep ne informed if you find any accessible management sims for either the windows platform or ios, I really can't be bothered with the frustrating slowness of browser based games.

hi caccio,I am a massive fan of sports management sims.  but for some reason I just can't navigate browser games or find them to clunky and awkward to fully enjoy.for example I am a massive football manager fan and still have not found an accessible 1 in the 10 years I have been blind.  I was excited when I saw hat trick in the database, but honestly I found it awful in so many aspects.please can you suggest any games that are accessible on the pc or ios? I don't mind if its football, rugby, formula one racind or even horse racing sims.I think stablemasters is accessible but I can't get a copy of it anywhere.   I wish developers would make these style of games because they are 95% text based.  I will try this boxing game but as its a browser game to be honest my hopes are not high.

hi all,has anyone played black out rugby? its an online browser game.I saw it on the white stick website and before I make an account I was wondering if anyone else played it and its fully accessible.  like is it easy to train the players or buy from the transfer market? also setting the team up on the field of play.   I ask these questions because I found it really difficult to play football manager games on the web but I have now mastered webl boxing, so I know I can play at least 1 browser game, heh.

ok,   when you go on the map the screen you are on has a 4 field radius.   So for example, 1 field away would be a castle literally next door to yours.Swiping 3 fingers in any given direction takes you 5 fields per swipe.  hope that helps.As far as I am aware lk is not accessible on android sadly.

hi guys,I just bought the game after listening to dark's review.I must admit it seems a lot more confusing playing it for the first time, for example, when I get the mini events in the game I get 4 possible replies but 3 are always dimmed only allowing me to give only 1 response which I find strange.I also think I should never have just jumped straight in, I think I should have started on tuition mode because I have no idea how the bless system works or even how the seasons pass.it does not seem very intuitive to me, although in fairness I am a bit thick, the fact I paid 10 whole british pounds for it though means I will try my damdest to eventually understand this game.if there is a guide called king of dragon pass for idiots please point me in the direction. thanks

Hi guys,I wonder if any of you can help me.I have only ever played alter aeon, and there is a reason for this,   I use mush z and found no other mud seems to work when I try to connect to the ports.the games I am really interested in playing are. clok. cosmic rage and for single player purposes frandum.can anyone suggest a simple mud client I can try so I can access these games?I tried to play cyber assault using mush z but when I was connecting to the world there was no feedback from my screen reader then after 30 seconds it would boot me off the server.

o dear,if the storm tribe quest is 1 of the easy quests I think I am in for a rough ride as I have failed it 3 times.because I am trying to form a tribe does the amount of alliances matter? at the moment I have 3, also my reputation is at 94%.I have to say though, the quests are really confusing and I find it discouraging to attempt it again at the moment..so at this time I am just learning new blessings, building shrines and raiding a lot.  o and I have listened to dark's pod cast again in case I have missed information.like I say though, if I eventually can get to grips and understand the questing system I might actually be able to progress in the game.

hello everyone, the post about everyones top 5 muds got me thinking.I am really moving towards the portable game road as having games on the move and for travel purposes appeals to me a lot more than games on the pc lately.so I am compiling my favourite 5 in no particular order, I would love to see your favourites so we can compare taste in games etc.1. lords and knightsI am listing this 1 first simply because I have been playing it for nearly 2 years, so for 1 thing it has longevity. its a simple war strategy MMO played in real time online multiplayer.2. King of dragon passthis game I recently picked up after listening to Dark's explanation of the game, I have been meaning to buy it for years but to many people put me off saying its to complex.  but although theres quite a bit to take in, it certainly gets rewarding if you are prepared to put in the initial effort.3. Crafting kingdomthis game is a recent addition and 
 is strangely very addictive, although there is nothing else to do but make goods and money it has this please keep playing me factor,  the recent update also has made it much more enjoyable.4. Football chairmanok. back in 2007 I went totally blind, and before then I used to play football manager every day, this game is the closest thing to it,   the only bad thing is you can't pick the starting 11 on match day but its the best I have found out there that's accessible.5. Sixth sensethis is a really cool arcade style zombie shooter, great sounds and 10 different zombies to slaughter, its just a bit short and I wish there was more of a story backdrop to it.

I finally completed the storm tribe quest and even picked my tribes name,  only it still says I am in a clan not a tribe.also my chief died and to be honest I have not got a good enough replacement, well not one who worships orlanth anyway so I might restart.

yes, I forgot to mention fruit pot,its a wonderful game to pass a spare half hour.Also I tried to get into trivia crack although it was really bad with accessibility so I gave up on it, but then I found a who wants to be a millionaire quiz ap that's fully accessible.there are 3 sports sim games available to, basketball agent, nhl hockey agent and soccer agent, whereby you are the agent and recruit up to 40 promising sportstars, aiming to fleece them along the way for all they are worth, buying cars, boats real estate luxury items etc.for me mobile gaming is the futureand I hope awesome developpers like Aprone and Oriel Gomes start dipping there toes in the mobile market.BTW, Dark, the latest crafting kingdom update has made it a lot better even though when you have tons of products on the go it does noticeably slow down.

Dark,I completed my 2nd quest ernalda feeds the tribe and still the tribe has not formed,I think I choose the wrong selections about 10 years ago after I completed the storm tribe quest, if that's the case will I get another chance to form it? or should I restart the game a fresh.

oh and a couple of other games I had that were quite good but I deleted them due to space issues were,wheres my rubber duckythis is a free 3d arcade shooter game that is actually not bad.ear monstersanother arcade style shooting game that I enjoyed.mousekicka lot of people liked this but I thought it was rather boring, but someone else might like itnebulathis game had some bug issues last time I played it, but it looks really promising, a cool spaceship shooter.

thanks very much Dark,I had no idea the quest had to be unlocked.upon starting a new year my chief just said we should do the storm tribe quest, there was no mention of sacrificing to any gods.its a shame the game is not more helpful in the sense when I was trying to do it a help balloon could pop and say,  you need to unlock the mysteries to activate this quest, because as a newvie I had no idea and was just getting frustrated.now I need to find out which god it is in order to activate the storm tribe quest.thanks a lot for the info.btw, those horseman are so annoying, and mean to boot, they seem to pick on my tula a lot.

Hi,please can anyone tell me which of the choice of games are good?the reason I ask is because so far I have only tried 2 that were free,1 was choice of the dragon which I thought was a bit short and the other was the great tournament which I really enjoyed.although 4 and 5 pounds are not much money in the grand scheme of things I still don't want to waste it.the game I was interested in was choice of the pirate. hi,I have just picked up this game again from about a 5 year absence and was surprised to see all the many changes.the stuff that interested me most was the mods people made, in particular the world war mods, my question is, how do I install them to the game? I have looked everywhere for a read me on how to install these mods but so far I have had no luck.also is there an how to file on creating maps? again I tried searching google for this information but came to a dead end.

I honestly never know if these posts are just for spoof effect.I apologise Karen if I am sounding like a grumpy old man but when E.A. has a primarily texted based game in Football Manager and its totally in accessible I find it hard to take these posts seriously.I would love to play Tiger Woods golf, Madden NFL and Fifa in all its incarnations, but unless the menus are not spoken or its screen reader compatible its just a non starter.I know there are blind folks that plod along playing these games anyway which baffles me beyond belief, but speaking from my viewpoint,  a person who was sighted until adulthood its just not practical.The fact of the matter is,  to much work for little profit,  and that was the response I got from another major game developer when I broached the subject.

are there any WEBL boxing players here?

Hi guys,just wanted to see if anyone else here played the online browser game WEBL boxing sim.its the first and currently only browser game I play,   its really good and was hopeing to see more of our community playing it.currently my fighters are in the british commonwealth region and my gym is called Boombastic.I created this post to try and gain some tips on the types of fighters you prefer to manage and fight plan ideas, I currentlyhave 109 boxers in my employ which is the maximum, lol.hope to hear from some of you WEBL players soon.

Alter Aeon has to be number 1 still, in conjunction with mush z its the closest thing for me  to playing graphical games when I had sight.I tend to return to tube sim, park boss, beatstar, rhythm rage, sound rts.I also love eurofly but wish it had goals in it like tube sim because its a bit boring for me now.  but my favourite game at the moment which has taking up most of my time is WEBL.I an still on my never ending quest to find a decent accessible football manager game though, 15 years and still counting.

Setting up an x box controller with joy to key help

Hi all,I am trying to set up my x box controller using joy to key,    I can map the key configs its just i can't work out how to set up the mouse function.For example mouse button 1 and 2 also moving the mouse left and right.   I want my left analog stick to act as the mouse if possible.Are there any articles or You tube tutorials to help me with this matter?

The patch seemed to have fixed it,   although there are not many campaigns do do.So i am guessing unless i pay the subscription fee there is no point playing swamp.

Steam and how it works?

Hi guys I was wondering if someone can explain the concept of steam to me.The reason I ask is because there is a football manager game on there I would really love to play.Firstly is Steam totally accessible with a screen reader? or is it for people with limited sight?How would a complete first timer to steam would go about getting on my computer?Are all the games on there accessible or just a select few?This could be the answer for me,  I have been searching for 10 long years for an accessible football manager game  which has baffled me as the games are primarily text based.Please don't suggest hat trick because apart from WEBL if find browser games in the main to be cumbersome and boring to play.

Thanks everyone.After reading your excellent posts I have realised steam is not for me,   So my quest for my own holy grail "Football manager" will have to carry on.What i have sadly noticed over the past 10 years of my blind life nothing much has moved on in quality since 2010. the first ever audio game i ever played was grizzly gulch and i would still have it in the top 10 audio games list.I am talking about development quality by the way, people either release games half finished, too short, or buggy as hell.I might be too harsh as i am coming from a once sighted gamer but the lack of quality games for blind people is really sad because i think theres room for developers to make money if they would be prepared to make accessible tweaks.Sorry for the bitch fest. But I am craving a football manager game for a long time.   I played my first fm game in 1982 on the commodore 64.Good times.

Help with Swamp error

Hi all,I decided to give swamp a try but when i click on the swamp icon to start the game i get this message.runtime error 52 bad file name or number.I tried running the checkup file like it says in the help file but still says the same error message.Why is it so difficult to try to play this game?
