hi. well who to contact at unity? do they have a accessibility dept. we are just a small community. so, could make it more acessible, like the tree view does not read at all in jaws / nvda, and got the unity 2017.3 personal engine. doing a certificate iv gaming and digital media and nvda only reads the start screen. wish there was a keyboard hot key to turn this off, once you get to new, or projects, or open, the menus do work, and visual studio works okay with unity, and also not sure about the scripting engine, if accessible, get to it, and the scenes. so who do i contact at unity that will listen to us and yes could be made accessible for screen reader users. their a ui plugin for $80, and not even sure that will make unity game engine accessible with screen readers. so who to contact. did contact the developers a few months back, said they were in the process of making it more accessible, but was not a high prioeirty. looks like the only way to get this made accessible and also the unreal game engine accessible, have not looked at that yet, then well littergation, like the muscle of the nfb or acb to get change and to get unity and unreal or epic games to make their game engines accessible. also is the toonboom animation software accessible with jaws, or other screen readers. thanks.

hangman console game help

hi, did a hangman game, in vb, that i did a few years ago for part of a programming assignment for my web design course in 2012, and decided to reubild, as was not loading the exe, okay, it is a self voicing game, and you get the intro, supposed to get the audio wav sounds, etc, but not loading, and got them in a folder called Resources, a word array, and a file called wordlist.tx which has the random list of numbers, you then enter a letter, turn based 13, but it never gets to the win, only you lose and supposed to have a bugle sound, but no sound, and then 1 to quit or enter to play another game, and when you quit, supposed to hear jean-luck picard from the next generation say end program, and then press any key. well when i then quit, get the program stopped working and windows will go online for a solution, and got jaws 2018, and get a jfw.exe application error, program did not start correctly, any one able to help me out and the resources folders, the properties and project properties for visual studio community 2017, and a vb console app, so any one able to help, can upload it to send space, or if there's a area to upload the files to the forum, then fine, any one able to help. a sighted web developer friend, did help me out and then the code to add to get around the wordlist not being in the app. any help. or will a shutdown and restart, using windows 10 64 bit pro 1709 on a toshiba satellite pro c-50-a machine. and running jaws 2018, latest december update. thanks.

hi, looking at doing a gaming it course with my local school, here in australia online. and now the unity 3d gaming engine is totally inaccessible. with jaws, nvda, and windows narrator windows 10. and unity has had three years to fix this. so, what other game engines do you use to create accessible 2 and 3d games which are accessible. any ideas. unity is totally useless.

hi. developing an application, and now need to add a data table reference, and a data table, xsd extension. using visual studio community version 2015, and jaws 17, latest version. if i right click in the solution manager, click add, sub menu, then click on reference, it does not speak the list of references. so looking for some jaws scripts to fix this, or how to do this, via the Names.ini file in jaws 17. any scripts for this, and if i do a ocr, try using the touch cursur, does not read any thing the list, and if i arrow down the tree view, it just shows like universal apps, windows 8.1, using windows 10. any one run into this. so how do i make this so i can then add the references. also in the tools, toolbox, it only reads the tabs, like dot net, com objects, and not the list. so ms have broken accessibility, an how to fix. some one suggested i do the line build vs 2015, in the ini, so how to do that. any one else come across this issue, building a calculator app in c # wpf for
  a school assignment, and need to just add these objects, unless, i need to use the tool box, and then the data wizard. any ideas. this is annoying, not reading these two areas with jaws, tried nvda, the object review cursur, and the same issues.

hi. okay, did find a standard space invaders tutorial, and code, then will ask ian hamilton, who is a game expert accessibility in the uk. so will ask him.so will use the space invaders code i downloaded, then type up the code, to get an idea. then ask him. about audio, accessibility, game updates, and the server. yes, can probably do that in python, but would prefer _javascript_, if possible. requirements, need to be html and _javascript_. thanks.

hi. been searching for a good html 5 speech tutorial, for my space invaders game that i am developing. did find an accessible breakout game from david ruso, to get an idea how to code an accessible game. so doing that the moment. and wondering also where i can get free human sounding voices, then how to put it in the file, like a speech module. i am using firefox, have got internet explorer, google chrome and microsoft edge. so, also got jaws and nvda. so, have been searching all over the net, and could not find a good , comprehensive tutorial. any ideas. or point me in the right direction. thanks. ps: then will look at a space invaders flash tutorial, then use the break out game main board as a guide, and then modify the flash tutorial to html 5. marvin from australia. ps: then will be googling aria regions, update game status, and also multi player and playing over the internet.

ehi. i am totally blind. and also want it to be multi player, and play on the internet, so going with recorded audio, do not then have to deal with multi cross speech apis, for windows, mac, linux, ios, android, blackberry, so i will do the game, the controls, then use a engine i found as a guide, got images, and music, will go and find some space invaders sound effects. so, then the people can then record the audio. unless, you now know of any recorded free gpl audio clips, already on the net. so going with this, much easier. people will be professional, unless, there is stuff out there already.

hi. looking to start my space invaders game, well, looking to go with s tart up message, then a menu. so, was wondering which is better, using a built in text to speech engine or recorded audio by humans. a friend helped me out with the music and the images, now just looking for feedback. have done a text based hangman game done in visual basic 2010, and now, this will be a game for the blind and sighted, using _javascript_, in visual studio 2015. so got a space invaders engine to reference as a guide, got the howler.js audio codex, now, was wondering, unless i have to worry about cross api for all different text to speech engines and then different os, windows, mac, linux, ios, android, blackberry,e tc. so some experts done this beofre, any ideas, or any universal engine that will do that, that has a nice voice. i speak english. will be a multi player game and also able to play over the internet. any ideas, need advice, a newbie. thanks.

Hi.Okay, just doing the mobile applications subject.Got two passes for two programming projects, c #.And now will do this game, a space invaders.Will use the keyboard short cuts and also for gestures.Will do it in html 5 and _javascript_.Using visual studio community edition 2013, jaws 16.So, should I use the built in Microsoft text to speech engine. hi. windws phone, visual studio ultimate 2013, c#. thats probably doing it for a game. or using visual studio 2013 f # for a html 5 web application. so thats be the platform and language. so, any help would be great. marvin.hi. doing a certificate iv programming from http://www.upskilled.edu.au and they use c # for visual studio. and need to create a either a mobile game, and so any tips, ideas to get started. I use jaws 16 for windows, windows 7 pro 64 bit, have visual studio ultimate 2013 32 bit on a windows 64 bit system. did create a vb console hangman game for the pc a few years back for my diploma of website development from that was a console game, your traditional hangman game, using the Microsoft tt engine. and using a few sound effects, like star trek the next generation for start and end of the game, and some other sound effects if you won or lost. have a Toshiba pro satellite laptop c 50-a, and also got xamari
 n studio, and eclipse for java. now. do not have a mobile device, i do have vm ware work station full version.10. so. was thinking about maybe an accessible audio space invaders game. or another idea is to do a html 5, css, _javascript_, c # web application. any one got any ideas what I can do. and how to get started, creating an accessible audio game for the blind and also the sighted. got any pointers to get me started. never done a windows game before, only a console game. okay, so will be using #, so how to test, I might go and get virtual box, and maybe a mobile simulator. any ideas. you are the experts and the gurus, I am the apprentice. marvin from australia.
