@cyco I'd, honestly, recommend that you just keep looking. I'm in the same situation as you at the moment as well, hoping to update my one x to a series x. I don't know if you aware of the current situation, but... it's pretty crazy. Essentially, the game console market has been discovered by scalpers and bots who are buying for these scalpers. It's leaving real customers in the dark, not to mention the general shortage of components and stuff, which is why scalpers are coming after the market currently. There's even speculation, although I've only seen this once, but... the speculation I once saw is that it might not be able to stabilize until next year.

@TheBlindSaiyan haha. Seriously though, button mashing has not worked for street fighter even in the sf4 days. Oh sure, I might get to approx the fourth stage in arcade mode on normal difficulty, but after a while if you don't know a character's moveset the AI would just get to you.

Just a heads up, if Horizon Forbidden West is accessible, it might just be the main story, unless the devs have ideas on an accessible open world.You know what game I actually do think will be accessible? Ubisoft's Indiana Jones game. It's in very early development and Ubisoft keep on talking about accessibility and always wanting to do more, keep in mind that they have *not* specifically mentioned this game, but if Assassin's Creed Valhala was this close and just needed a few tweeks and navigation features put in, well who knows what might be coming up.As for Sony, remember they have several studios. Same with Microsoft. So it might boil down to who shares info with what, hopefully there's some accessibility sharing going on.

In all seriousness, I can not even see the game being banned from the app store.I can see the humour in this topic and Jack got the idea before me, I was totally about to make a bop it reference as well.Cheesewheel is not talking about the game being banned for it's inaccessibility, but for it's proposed danger. Note, I said proposed, not supposed. Proposed means that yes, there is some merrit here. Supposed means it might be. So, yes there have been stories of people using their vehicles to play this game and sometimes it's nuts. I don't know if Apple or Nyantech did anything though to discourage it.

The fact that the game website itself is still active, the fact that the game website still has a date (yes it didn't make it), but it's still there. So no, I don't think this game is in the archives just yet. Especially with a date like 2020, of all things, the year where, arguably, everything changed for everyone. So, who knows what's happened, and let's hope the developer is OK.

stuck in tomb hunter again

Hi all,Well I'm stuck on level 20. I did beat this level once before but that was quite a while ago and I've forgotten what to do here.spoilerThis is the level with the giant void. Phase 1 is complete, buy a parachute. However, how on Earth do I then go about getting the scroll? Every time I land, there's a checkpoint and no scroll. There's a lot of birds here during your journey down the void though, and I'm wondering i it's something to do with that. There's, of course, items but I don't remember if it's an avoid all items at all costs thing or if there's something else going on here.

@Brad, I've actually heard of this describer before, I think she's part of wgbh or some such. We do get as much exposure to them in the UK, but some dvds and blurays are now starting to use them. The describe an aweful lot in detail if given the chance.I do think having knowledge of what characters appear in at what timestamp would help. Heck, for Sephiroth, she could do the first part the way she did it, then when the music kicks in, mention Sephiroth at that point. THis allows blind people to feel the suspense.I am going to put a spoiler below for a program I watched, Star WArs The Clone Wars, so, skip the rest of this post if you do not want the finale spoiled.spoilerforabigfinalemomentDarth Vader has a cameo, but the describer lets the sound design do the work, only describing the figure's appearance, and what he does. He then said that it was Darth Vader, and gives us one more tidbit of something that Vader himself did not notice. Honestly, it was such a unique way of describing, I've never experienced something like that before.

Hi,spoilerIf that's the level I think it is, then there's actually a set of second stairs to the right of the previous ones which you then climb instead, and you go over the electricity that way. Also, watch out you are about to be introduced to another mechanic, I won't spoil that here but I thought I'd warn because it stumped me for a bit, it might not stump you as much. But if you need more help, let me know.

I've heard if you use the map, you can sometimes fast travel, but I don't know the commands/controls for this game, it's been a while since I've played but I kept on getting stuck, and am just wondering some general tips too. I will check out the recording tomorrow.

Hi,@slj this is confirmed, for some reason when you go in you have to play it manually sometimes, especially if the sign in to YouTube prompt appears. Then, this stream  has lots and I do mean lots of silence at the beginning. At the 51 minute mark, music starts. At 57 minutes exactly, the stream begins proper, and audio description begins, and will remain so for the next several hours.

Is there perhaps a smaller game idea that you could work on that you think could be something that you would enjoy playing, but maybe something that the community haven't really seen yet? That's the thing. I think it's important that you should make a project you are proud of, even a small one, and say hay, I love this, but I haven't seen this before, so I made it myself. If you just end up taking community requests from us and it turns out that hay, the idea is one that you aren't as passionate about, then why would you create that. Let's see, I would love to see an adaptation of something called Battle Cards, which uses a regular card deck but each thing is a ship or time travelling commando or something, so instead of ace it's time traveller, but, if I just tell that to a dev, what if they end up not liking card games? Wouldn't that just make them feel like there's little reward in coding it?

There's a product from Wowee called Hands Full, which is a slightly different twist on the bop it formula, although I don't know too much about it, but it seems it's all voiced.Guess the Fake, trivia game from Amazon. Requires you to activate a multiplayer game but you can either have an online round whereby you'd choose people's answers through their microphones on stuff like Teamtalk, or you'd play with friends, or you could play against yourself but I don't know how fun that'd be haha. But the whole thing is voiced, a trivia/true or false game.I found a wizarding world version as well, but the issue is, I can't find this one online, but I've actually seen it in person and put that on my Christmas list. Seemed to be called Young Wizard Quiz. Guess The Fake should be on Amazon.

It's about inclusivity but also a learning experience for potential devs. If they start laying the groundwork for audio description now, it generates interest, and if people enjoy it there's a possibility more will come in the future, possibly even to games themselves.I would recommend watching the opening to this year's Game Accessibility Conference, GaConf, where Ian Hamilton actually touches upon this, however those streams are quite long, I don't know the name of the segment either, I know some of the segments are on YouTube as just separate videos, but I don't know if Ian's opening seech is, or what it was called. But it is in the day 1 stream.

Oh boy, now we're talking. Here is a long post. I'm excited about this! This reminds me of something I also had an idea bout years ago, so... well... I wanna talk about this. We can dream, right?It is sometimes good to dream big, but also be a bit careful.This would be amazing, an audiogame crossover game.Now, let's just get real for a second, I'll get back to dreaming in a minute. But first... In the past, when I thought about a crossover game, I was thinking about characters to use because I didn't want to come up with design documents without characters, i.e, start out and then realize, hang on, no one gave me permission to do this. Although said documents did not go anywhere unfortunately, and I do not have them anymore, or if I do, I've actually forgotten their names. However, I genuinely have some stuff in my memory, believe it or not! So, I approached some devs. when approaching Philip Bennefall, he said, at least at that time, that I could use Q9 as long as I credited him. Of course, the project did not go anywhere, but I think he appreciated that I would ask before trying anything, the key word being, think. I am not certain. On the other side of the spectrum, Tom Ward said I could not use Angela Carter because he'd designed that character with a specific story. I do wonder what would happen now though, would devs be more strict, would devs want examples, etc etc. Even back then, I also wondered about things such as, would a lot of devs want sounds encrypted, especially for the base game and characters featured. Do not, I repeat, do not take my word. You would want to ask Philip about Q9 again, absolutely, because years have gone by now. In fact, take this further: You would want to ask every dev, I think, as a matter of courtesy.So, I'd perhaps recommend coming up with some characters and approaching the devs first, alternatively, come up with a couple of original characters to test your mechanics with, then approach the developers before you start adding in the community favourites.Now, the rest of this post is all dreaming/imagination/blue sky and just me going chatting about this.Now, when I thought about a project like this, it actually had a bit of a larger scope, story mode almost had a Dissidia feel to it. It does depend if you'd want a story mode, or more of a classic mode with cameos from that character's series instead. I mean, imagine more of a Soul Chronicle esc experience where the mode goes through each character's origins whilst expanding the game world a bit, so there'd be some story, the character would face a rival, and the final boss. Or if it is much more like Chronicle there usually isn't a boss as such, Chronicle is more about a character's adventures. Skullgirls pulls off the character universe thing a bit where there's story between matches, and a face off between the antagonists of the game, and an ending. Or you could just have classic mode where if you pick the bk guy you'd fight stuff from his series, ala Smash Ultimate where there isn't exactly a story.Some character ideas:Captain chace, Three-D Velocity/Cloning Mallace series. Reason: it is mentioned, directly in tdv's mission mode that Captain Chace has hand to hand training. His story rival would probably be Brutus, but who knows. Thing is, you're then asking for permission from Munawar for two characters. There's the matter of voice actors. Now, with Super Liam and X1, Liam himself voiced both, whether he'd be up for bringing them back in their classic way, I dunno.Various BK3 characters, now for that one I don't know what the main character would be called, and I also don't know who would be unlockable from that series. Carler perhaps.An example of a more in-depth story.Munawar, please do not shoot me for this. But. When I was thinking about how the game's loop could go down, I actually thought about Captain Chace back in the day. I can't believe this is actually still in my head, minus the original character names, but the loop is!His story is actually set after TDV 2. Orion is on another mission, although they would be in contact especially after what goes down. Captain Chace is on a mission, battling some goons, when... who should appear before him, but Julias Brutus, from years before. Because Julias Brutus was plucked out of time. Turns out someone's found him because of his interest in technology. He chats to Chace a bit, and then... goes off. Whether he just wonders off/runs away or if he teleports, that's a thing I didn't think about. Anyhow, next up Chace tracks Brutus but also encounters a few other characters. Then finds Brutus, and the rival battle begins. Once Chace wins, he recovers something. He is about to radio in to HQ, and as he's talking... the thing, surprise surprise, activates. @aaron77 co-pilot is designed for people in the same room, so you'll need another controller. Although saying this though, co-pilot is an xbox feature so if you're playing on PC, I'm wondering what the equivalent might be, or if there is one. There are things you can do on the PC such as Parsec, which you will need sighted help to set up, there might be some latency but SightlessKombat has used that successfully on his streams, and I think it's been fairly small for the most part. You'd need an online partner for that.

That's a good question actually. There will probably be one of two methods. The first one, is it might be a separate video link. The second, if it's using the newer method, I think where you can adjust your play speed and such there will be an audio track/language option and there, you select audio description. I have a feeling although do not quote me on this, but I think it will  be the first method as it is, honestly, a bit easier. However, we in the UK will have to watch at 1 AM so that means I'll have to watch the next day.

You can't currently complete story without help. However, if you can find someone to run it with you via online co-op, that is also an option. There's also the autopilot option where if you have two controllers and a family member, turning it on can let the two controllers act as one, they can control the movement whilst you control the shooting.

I'm also experiencing the same issue. There is literally nothing on the level for me to pick up. I've killed every monster, I have every scroll, and no timebombs are spawning. Even when they did spawn, nothing seemed to happen, they either exploded or I jumped over them. Walking over them did not pick them up.

Hi all,Well, it seems Chronicle, the voiced story type mode in SC6 is being expanded as new dlc is released.However, the latest patch notes say that there's extra story chapters for Mitsirugi and Nightmare. How on Earth will I be able to find these, if they are for existing characters, and also how to find new episodes as they're released? The last one I completed was Tira's, and I know there's been more as you add characters. So my plan will be to get everything soon.

That is true as well, you can just buy weapons at the fab, although you do run the risk of perhaps not being in the best position to take shots. If you die, you lose the weapons you braught and your loadout will reset to your default.

Each class has it's own loadout and ultimate ability.Class options can be found below character, some are promotional, meaning you will have to buy some packs. I'm trying to figure out where some of the packs are at the oment, such as Dark Fate park 2 for Grace which will unlock Striker class.

@claudiogaranzini if you buy a game from the Microsoft store that supports play anywhere, then yes. The game needs to specifically support this feature though. Gears 5, Killer Instinct and Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite are definitely on this list.

I've tried to do some headings.First thing's first please try to get a mic. While not necessary when battling with randoms as you all just do what you do, when I'm online playing with friends I use party chatting, or even, Discord a lot. So if you've got Discord on your phone we can use that.fabricatorSecure the fabricater just means as long as you pick it up and drop it again, it'll be deployed.For this, the ping needs to be at it's highest pitch, which is the pitch of D.You use right stick to pick up, right stick to deploy.I can recommend the map forge.There are obsticles, but if you roady run (hold A to do this), and also roll (tap a), you can get over some obsticles. You'll roady run until you hit an obsticle but what I normally do is run for a second or two then vault over.There are points where you might stick, if you hear a sort of slidy into a soft body thud, you're porobably sliding into cover. Just move backwards out of it.Once the fab is deployed, it remains deployed until it's destroyed, so if you die, the fab will still be there, useful for if you want to reset yourself and spawn at a better point where you can take shots. Essentially, me and sightelss call this a tacticle death.When the fab is deployed, it makes a sort of whirry buzzy sound, it sounds like a generator, low pitched one. In fact I'd say it doesn't really have a pitch. When you get up to it you can tap x to interact, this brigns up a tabbed menu. RB and LB switches tabs, left, right, up, down, browses. From here, x puts your power into the fab, holding a selects the item you want to buy. I do not think there is currently a way to tell exactly how much power is in the fab.targeting and battleTargeting enemies can be finicky, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't if there's obsticles in the way. You just gotta keep trying. When you mark something, it makes a sound in the pitch of low C bass note and a sort of, well, I don't know how to describe it accept sci-fi ish and very subtle. However, sometimes you don't know if you've marked an enemy, or a giomatery/cover point or item.Each weapon has it's own range, and some enemies are harder than others (if you hear a clicky clicky clicky... you got leaches, the dreaded leaches that are really hard to hit, trust me I think you will almost be raging at these guys or have the "oh no, it's leaches" kind of reaction.)Trackers make a fast, clunky sound as they come toward you, and will start beeping.Various robots make, well, robot footsteps. Rejects do not talk, but  will clunk clunk clunk their way up to you and start meleeing you to death. An enemy type called DB speaks, walking like rejects, and having machine guns and will sometimes melee without even charging their attack, so you'll just hear a whack if you aren't careful. Also, there is an enemy called d r 1, which make a stompy, robot noise and if ou hit them enough, they start to self distruct and if you hit them ab it more they explode and might take other things with it, including, if you're not careful, you. It's happened to me several times where I die with a metric ton of enemies dying as well. Not only that, but these guys essentially have rocket launchers (the weapon name is salvo).Drones make a gravel type footstep/marchy noise. They also growl, and will shoot you with machine gun-type weapons (the weapon name is enforcer, and maybe another type as well but I don't remember the name).There's also juvies (pronounced joovie) These guys are squishy, fast enemies that squeak and make weird noises at you. They, satisfyingly, go squish when you hit them.Here are some tips for you as well.If you have a lancer, you can press and hold rb to use chainsaw. Useful for stuff lik rejects, and especially joovies.Every character/class in the game can melee. Press B. Here's how this works. Pressing b if there's no enemies around will always do one strike. However, if an enemy is in range of your melee (usually, they start meleeing you), you can combo. Mash b for the first two hits, but then hold B. So, tap b b, then hold b to get the third hit assuming the enemy is still alive.If you get a drone into a downed state, it starts breathing. At this point, you could go for an execution. If you hold b and don't hear a melee sound, keep holding B and your character should execute the enemy.Chainsaw kills also count as executions.I don't really know if these do too much, but they sound cool.Also, each weapon has a thing called an active reload. The timing is different for every weapon. There's regular active and perfect active, but as long as you get an active, you're fine. You'll get used to each weapon as you play. If you miss an active, you're open to attack. Oh, and if you get meleed whilst reloading, the reload sequence start

Hit me up, jukesy1992 is my gamertag.Here's some things to get you started.Horde menu, left right menu.Daily challenge, first option says a map name and the daily challenge. You get skill cards for your class and such, which I will discuss in a bit.Horde Frenzee: this throws you into a match with other people, and is a shorter session, 12 waves total. Bosses every 4 waves.Custom, the thing that me and sightless use a lotl Host public or host private are your options here.Once in this menu, you have a sort of grid.First option is map. You can pick if you want to do the daily challenge map, or another map, including the particular daily challenge map for the day without the challenge enabled.Second option below map, is horde options. In here, ou have: mode, which if you press a, lets you pick between Horde and Frenzee as radio buttons.Tap a on the radio button you'd like.Then, the other options you have are, fill with bots, and starting wave. Fill with bots turns on whether you'd like bots to join you. If you turn this off and it's just you, you'll do a solo game.Starting wave should be self explanatary.Back out of there once you're done.Next, move right. You have: characters. Now, you can pick whichever character you play as, but note that some you'll have to buy from the store either with gears coins or with a premium currancy. Gears coins are gained for free through the tour of duty, which I'll discuss in a bit, and Iron is the name of the premium currency.Now, I'd argue the most accessible way to pick a character is to use the left and right bumpers, and it will tell you which character you are. What's good, is it won't matter what character you pick now, because, just below the character option, is, your classes. Here, if you tap lb and rb I think you change your class. Alternatively you can press a, it will say team but if you go right on this screen it will tell you what class you are. Each class has different loadouts, ultimate abilities and as a result also plays differently. However, you'll be able to pick what you want from the fabricater if you have enough power. You collect power by killing enemies. When you're done with your class, maybe check your objectives for the day, although you can do that any time, I'll discuss that now.Next, tour of duty. In the menu (any menu), right trigger shows you your tour objectives, tour of duty is a sort of progression system whereby if you complete objectives, you gain stars. Unfortunately the narrator doesn't tell you how many you have, but if you successfully complete an objective, when quitting a game and going to the results screen, you will actually hear how many stars you've earned for the objectives you completed because the game makes a sort of shink shink type sound. If you hear a larger clunk, that's you unlocking skill cards. If you hear a thud whilst it is adding up your totals, that's a class level.Your objectives screen will show you four objectives. Two of them, are for all modes. The third, is for versus, so not really doable for us. The fourth, is PVE (horde or escape). So you will, at the very least, be able to complete two objectives a day.When you are ready, from the main custom screen with map and such, press x to start the match. The game will count down and then load in the map.I'm sorry, but I must eat food, so I need to end this post here which is slightly annoying as I haven't even discussed the fabricater yet, or the gameplay.

Oh yes I can confirm that they absolutely do not come down to random button presses at all, and I can give a huge example.The new Samurai Shodown. It is a slow, methodical fighter, also one of the most accessible because of this slowness. But if you make a mistake, you will get punished for it. You have to play both offensively and defensively. If you try mashing even a light attack, that won't really work because as you attack, your character might move a little as well. So it comes down to spacing in the stereo field, knowing what range is what by experimenting with that spacing, learning not only the character's special moves but also, their normal moves, because make no mistake just because a heavy attack is a heavy attack, doesn't mean it's necessarily the largest range, and if you miss, well, you'll know, and sometimes, you'll know pretty badly because the AI will counter you.

Hi,@Alan: but here's the thing. On the PS5, if the screen reader is global, it will be much easier to even launch the games we're interested in. Also, The Last of Us has ii has been confirmed to also work on the PS5. Remember, if you're outside the US, the PS4's UI has no text to speech, at all. The PS5 might be changing this, and if we can browse the store and grab games that we like, right from the console, it's a win.

From what I've just read, I think so. Because: the playStation Store, is no longer a separate app. The PlayStation Store, is baked into the OS architecture. This, in theory, absolutely means that the screen reader should work with the store. If it can read the activities screen, your profile, your trophies, news posts from Sony... then I should think it would be able to read the Store's screen without any problem. But do not quote me on this. I hope I am not wrong.

Hi,Just a heads up, from what I understand, the setting up the console with a code is only done with the iOS and android apps for setup. The other setup way is definitely possible with just a controller. I do not think Sightless clarified this in his review, as the code was just under the setup heading.

@Zarvox don't forget that on Steam at least, there's a Jelly's Raceway and announcer bundle available which has both missions and announcer in one.@ogomez92 that might be true but also, remember that a lot of that doe will be going to the game's actual developer, who has been extremely active lately.
