I didn't say to run anything, I just suggested 7zip as a better way of unzipping the contents of a zip archive than windows default, since you should always extract all the files from inside a zip archive before trying to run them since they were compressed to put them in the archive and need to be uncompressed in order to run propperly. 7zip won't help you with crazy party specifically though. Since I believe microsoft security is the problem, you will need to make a  an exception and extract the crazy party archive there. You should also make whatever folder you've currently got crazy party installed in an exception too just to be sure windows security doesn't munch up your game files. As to how to make folders exceptions, in windows defender you go to the button that says "Anti virus, then to "settings" then to "exceptions" and select "folder"  from the dropdown that asks if you want to make a file or folder an exception. I'm not sure if this is the same on windows 7 with MS security essentials, but it shouldn't be too difficult. hth.

How do you submit a false positive to microsoft enes? I'd be interested to know. Indeed, it might be worth talking to microsoft since there seems to have been issues with bgt applications recently, and if microsoft have done something as stupid as blanket categorising all Bgt applications as viruses they probably need to be set straight.

You shouldn't try to copy files out of a zip without extracting, since zip files are compressed and won't work properly if they're not uncompressed, as people have said, if your having trouble try 7zip from www.7zip.org which works far better than windows default unzipper. Windows defender didn't give me any warnings either. When I extracted the contents of the crazy party beta 58 folder in my downloads, the contents appeared to be there but when I tried to copy it it clearly wasn't, ie, it had been deleted automatically. When however I moved the crazy party zip folder to my audiogames directory which I have made an exception from windows defender it extracted fine and copied across to my main crazy party folder fine.Hth.Edit: Okay this is confirmed. I just tried extracting beta 58 and running the exe file and got this: Operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus or potentially unwanted software.[OK]

Well yes, it does seem in this case windows defender is being silly about crazy party, when I extracted version 58 I had exactly the same problem, namely it auto removed several files, including the exe file. Silly windows. Fortunately when i moved the zip folder to my C:\audiogames folder which I've made an exception, in Windows defender I was able to  extract no problem and run the game without any trouble. Actually this is one thing I'll say for Windows defender over other anti virus programs, it actually does" respect folders you make exceptions .

Just gave these a try and will be doing writeups for the db. One question I do have is I notice that both classic and quick games for Ludo say that you don't stop another's pawn from moving by having a blocade of two pawns on one space, are variants with blocades planned in the future? ditto with safe squares, indeed when I looked up Ludo on wikipedia I heard about several interesting rule variants which might be fun to play (I particularly liked the idea of being able to move a block of two pieces together since it reminds me of a game we used to play whe I was young called dizy dinosaur which involved trying to get cave men pieces home along a board ludo style, without them being knocked off a space by the dreaded clockwork dizzy dinosaur of the game's title. For the ludo rules see Good old wikipedia Simon variants would be nice too, though since simon is such a common audiogame and has had so many iterations, it might be more interesting  see more of games unique to huboodle such as Ludo, the word searches etc.

The prompt thing is more a matter of preference as well, one reason why customisable prompts are a good idea. For example I don't mind a prompt set to a percentage for vital things like hp and mana, and I don't mind it displaying a status like "hungry" so that I am aware of what is happening to my character. Then in combat I just tend to like bare bones info such as my char's hp so that I know when to run away etc. In terms of combat speed, I'm afraid there isn't really a corollary in terms of whether the combat is or isn't too fast or too spammy other than having people play the game and try it out, since it depends upon  how fast combat text is processed by the mud itself, B, how much information a person needs during combat to understand that text, and C, at least a degree of personal preference, for example I personally tend to like at least a little combat description if the games speed will let me have it,  customisation of infrmation is a good idea. As regards ascii,  I agree with Ironcross here. If the game starts with an ascii art decoration at the beginning that isn't a problem if it doesn't occur anywhere else since Vi users can ignore at least a little and we  want the game's visual appeal lessoned for those who can appreciate it, but if there is  art elsewhere, even just in chargen then a blind mode or vi mode might be helpful, especially since in options like chargen people are more likely to go back up through the text and read slowly by hitting the arrow keys to read line by line so as to get spellings and distinctions and consider many race/starting location options carefully rather than just listen to the incoming text and react, and in that sort of situation ascii on screen can be a bit of a pain.

The best method I've found is to stand in the middle of the outer hall which is roughly three steps wide and run right around the room. Usually by the time I've done a complete circuit I'm up to about fifteen, and can spend time hunting the last few. I do think there is a bit of luck though, since while I   get twenty points a lot of the time, at other points I cap out at 17 or 18. Then of course practice makes a difference, especialy with reacting to mosquitos above or below.

There are probably triggers and such to gag excess text and mess with the output client side, but bare in mind not everyone knows how to use these and a mud is not accessible if any VI player must script their own interface in order to play, particularly when making combat less spammy usually has some relatively easy workarounds in terms of output modes for the mud, EG allowing players to use a battle prompt, reducing names of combatants in combat and extra long damage descriptions (especially those with heavy formatting), etc.

Funny Sito, I have both the realtime and cloud protection enabled and crazy party  and extracts fine with windows defender. Then again I'm not sure about running it since the my audiogames folder where I have such things installed I've made an exception.Lol Pragma, there was me posting the changelog to beta 57 and 58 was just around the corner. I like the fact that single element decks are actually affective these days thanks to the damage bonuses you get when you have a hand full of cards of the same type, its nice to not have to modify my old pre beta 52 decks, though in fairness I probably ought to look at making some others.

I've not played armageddon mud myself and generally I'm more a questing, exploring and crafting  sort of bod than an rp fan in muds. As some rough general points though, inaccessibility in muds can usually be down to one or more of four basic things. 1: ascii used to display information like maps, since manifestly screen reading programs don't do well with ascii.2: information about areas or npcs denoted by coloured text that wouldn't show up to screen readers. 3: Overly long or complex displays of information such as prompts, score or abilities which might need a little shortening. And 4: Overly fast combat or action sequences which might disadvantage visually impaired players who must listen to screen readers reading the text. I don't imagine the last is quite as much a concern given Armageddon mud's heavy rp focus. Generally all of these have relatively easy workarounds, for example commands to shorten display or customise mud prompts, or look up specific information rather than display an uba table of doom, EG commands to display just magic skills rather than all skills, but obviously it depends upon the mud. Some muds need barely any accessibility changes at all, others need several changes (I can think of a couple of muds that are unplayable due to an intensive ascii focus for example). Hope some of this is generally helpful. I'll try and stick my noggin around Armageddon if I can just to have a look at the mud, though as I said I'm not as experienced with in mud rp.Edit: Okay I just had a quick poke at the website and wikipedia, and it seems Armageddon has Diku mud  its ancestry. This is good in that it means things like customizing  prompts is already possible, but less good in that it probably means unless combat in Armageddon is vastly modified from the Diku standard, then combat probably needs a little bit of customisation, EG a combat prompt and maybe some shortening of information, since Dicu tends to have pretty fast combat on average, and especially in a game with permadeath you don't want players killed because their ears are slower than scrolling text . of course if anyone has  played Armageddon specifically (as someone likely has), that would I think be most helpful.

[[wow]] this is the best game since need for weed! I particularly like the music and sfx, they are some of the best I've heard in any audiogame ever at all ever! I have to say as admin of this site the database is hereby being retired since all other games have been made pointless by this one! Oh the gameplay, the hours I will spend, the existential statement of there being no exits! nothing could be better than this . Btw though I was fairly sure this one was a joke I actually thought it was pretty funny, the exit sound after rick rolling made me laugh quite a lot .I'm only sorry that its no longer the first of april since some joke news about this one  gone nicely I think.

Moderation! Though neither the Wastes nor Mushclient are new things, methinks  this still should go in the new releases room . Great that some work is going into the wastes, I admit I would like a better way of handling towns since Nvda doesn't play as well with the  windows as I would've liked it to. one very lazy question I have is, are there any plans for a stand alone copy of this? I don't currently have mushclient on my pc, just MushZ since I tend to use Vipmud for general mud things (and please lets not open up that can of worms again). Also, its possible others who are interested in the wastes outside this community might find this handy as well especially in text processing.

I think all versions of the game are the same as far as the accessible mode goes, ie you just hit ctrl v to activate and that's that. On the other hand buying from Steam means tangling with steam itself which is not very accessible, so I'd personally recommend using one of the alternatives such as Itch.io or indeed just buying directly from goodwolf themselves.

Hi Jérôme. We've had some very notable French developers in this community and games with very high quality translations, so if you post in the developer's room, or if you contact some of our French devs directly, it's likely someone will be able to help with the story. I'm thinking here specifically of people like Pragma who created the amazing audio arcade title Crazy party ( has lots of text and has since been translated into about six different language), Quentin C who developed the Qunetin C playroom, a multilinual audio gaming hub, or JEanluc pontico, creator of Sound RTS, the first ever audio real time stratogy battle game which again has been translated into languages which range from English, to Croatian to chinese. You could post in the developer's room of this site and ask for assistance, or try contacting one of the above mentioned developers more directly (you can find information about their games including links to their  in the dropdown on the front of this site.if we can't find a native French speaker to aide directly with the translation, you could also try translating the game with Google translator, and then myself and other English speaking members could offer some suggestions as to improvements. Either way this shouldn't be an insummountable obstacle, and as someone who loves atmospheric games with a good story I'm very much looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Hi Hieronims. I downloaded and ran the game and it sounds interesting (I don't think we've had an audio horizontal shooter before), however, since all of the game text is in French I'm afraid I have no idea what is going on. I think I managed to shoot something, but after a while I just got stuck, and manifestly if the story is a major part of the game  those who don't speak French will be missing out.Perhaps some of our French speaking members could help with  translation into English, as well as other languages so that the game could be enjoyed around the world.

Well it'd need some balancing, especially with what the trader would have to do in battle with all the quests etc, but to be honest I'd not be in favour of that. I'd much rather have games that give a range of activities for characters so you can alternate what you do rather than tying people into one path all the time, hence why I like games with multiple activities and trade skills to learn and why I'd love to see extra trade skills possible for different characters.

The only problem with that firefly is that trading on six dragons is more a sideline than mainline activity, so if you were a trader you couldn't do quests or even explore much, you'd always be in the wilderness or the ore quarry, plus of course any wilderness monsters would slay you in short order.Btw I seem to be stuck in my questing at the moment. when I use the "areas command" it tells me there is a quest in gnome tower. I did the initial quest to put together the tower key, but when I went into the tower nothing happened I just met lots of gnomes, even the duke didn't react to me. Now, I go to the tower and a guard gives me a key, but the entrance doesn't open. Is the tower broken or something/

Jason, at the moment there isn't a lot of in player traiding anyway, and just because you can learn tradeskills on your own doesn't mean everyone will, especially for skills that are less useful like carpentry and cooking. the sort of thing I was thinking is something like when you reach level 10 in your first tradeskill, you can learn a second, when you reach level 20 in your first tradeskill you can learn a third etc. Thus, you still have to practice your primary skill to get stuff, indeed this sort of thing could encourage player trading since then there would be more reasons for people to go and make things with their primary skill, and thus more items around for trade generally.

I've updated the soundpack and I'll have a think about sounds, as undoubtedly an extra or two might be nice. one thing that occurs to me are more specific crafting sounds. Right now there is just oen mining sound, one bellows sound and one forging sound, yet it would be nice if there were different sounds for successful/unsuccessful mining, and for the different stages of working an item, since manifestly setting a gem would make a different sound to using molten metal. I also wonder if you've considered having more crafting activities allowed per character? that's something I'd love to see since I'd really like to try the other activities besides gem cutting without having to have six different characters.

Yep Slj, I noticed that, but it's much more interesting to find a legendary item with a history, after all it's the writing and background that makes Land of Livia unique as a game rather than just a simple tapngrind. right now I'm still in chapter one trying to raise myb int and dex levels, as well as buy all the companions and real estate since they always come in handy.

Hmmm Targor nope I didn't notice the game saying anything when I entered navigation mode it just asked me to type a response, one reasn why I resorted to hitting letters and waiting to see what the auto complete said. I did find the tab key but I didn't try it on the navigation mode since I assumed it didn't work when you were actually having to enter textual input if I replay episode zero I will try that.

Okay the game now has a db page, though it's shorter than I would've liked since I didn't want to give any spoilers, I've given a link to Itch.io so people can find the demo though I've also put a link to the shop. steam is pretty terrible for accessibility and  so I'm glad there are purchase alternatives out there though I'm not %100 sure what you mean by "trading cards".I've now finished the demo and have a couple of questions. Beware! episode zero spoilage ahoy!). firstly I wondered how you actualy knew what was where on the map. Basically I had to type in random leters until I came up with the code of somewhere in order to direct Sam there. Secondly, I do remember reading in one thread that a couple of  were not included for accessibility reasons. One involving  redirecting Sam around robots would've been nice, but the one which really disappointed me was the confrontation with Soli on the ship. I was expecting something a bit hands on and bing! he's gone in a cynematic? was there another minigame there? I did notice a bunch of blocks (or they might have been letters), going read or yellow, so I wonder if there was some sort of tetris style puzzle  absorb Soli's memory/Just as a miner niggle, that one did feel a little bit of an anticlimax since I really would've preferd some way of dealing with Soli in a more hands on way rather than waiting for it to happen.Anyway I did really enjoy the game and will likely be picking up a season pass in the future.

Well this is craaazy! I went back to chapter one to do some grinding and also pickup some companions and real estate to make my life easier and bing! there I suddenly find the legendary item I'd got three out of five journal entries for (I was trying to find enough lore items to get the other two). Of course this is very cool indeed, however annoyingly I only have three out of five journal entries for the item and I'd like to know it's history, but will have to spend lore items on unlocking the last two journal entries. Any chance of fixing it so that if you find a legendary item you get it's history? Either that or make unlocking the journal  give some sort of other benefit once you have the item.

I have a miner bug to report. I got to chapter one however the first time I tried to go back to the prologue area, the game crashed, literally I'd got to the terak grasslands, double tapped on it and pong! The second time I tried after doing the desert strength quest another time (I wanted to go back and train because my dex and int aren't high enough at the second), the travel worked okay but I thought I should mention it.

@braille0109, what I have done is create a folder on my hd called audiogames, and another called testing area and add them both as exceptions. i prefer to keep the downloads folder free since then I'm more likely to be notified if I download anything dodgy. Once I stuck tts blade battle in my testing area folder there were no problems at all.As to the game itself, great job on getting a finished project out the door and setup, I really like the sounds and the taunt creator is fairly amusing.The only problem I have with the game so far, is it is a little easy and lacking in variety. I run in, wail away with my sword, perhaps taking one or two hits in the process. After that the enemies are so slow I can effectively just keep out of their way until my health regenerates (especially once I have the teleport), heck most enemies don't do more than one or two hits thanks to my fast finger on the spacebar. I realize this is a first project which is fair enough, but you probably should consider what you could do to vary the gameplay somewhat. There are more than enough examples of very well put together audio side scrollers these days to give a good idea what works and what does not and how to create variety in enemies, attackss obstacles etc in order to create a game that is addictive to play.I'll look forward to seeing where this goes in the future, and congratulations again on getting a working game completed and out the door.

Beastmaster  is another class, I might even try  it at some point. I can't help with shadowknight as I'm an angel myself, but for equipment you need a feather of knowing, though the compare command works fairly well as  classic six dragons isn't really a gear heavy game the way alteraeon is. The only main issue I have at the second is quests, since basically you just have to wander around and hope things trigger, which means often I encounter npcs who just won't talk to me for some reason. For example the area map says to go to gnome tower, but though I've completed one quest there, the only npc won't speak to me. I also would love to see more trade skills usable in the game, especially cooking, carpentry and herbalism, as well as some more info about the cities and how they work since I keep hearing about sieges but am not really sure what to do to either lay siege to somewhere or prevent a siege when it happens. I think you can collect taxes for your city but I'm not really sure on that one.

Okay trying this but I'm running into a little more trouble than with elio ironically since for the life of me I can't find the bloody goals page, which means I can't actually complete anything or get any animals. The only  time I saw the goals page was via the new player mail which had a link, but I can't find it  otherwise.The  help is also really useless since all it shows me are the chat rules. the other odd thing is that sometimes clicking on graphics does things, sometimes it doesn't which is sort of complicated.Edit: okay found the problem with the goal list, it was in the homestead menu which I couldn't get to otherwise.

Okay had a quick look at this one. Thus far the game looks pretty okay, I like the fact battles have music. my only problem is that there doens't seem to be much exploring or questing, and the creatures are a little less interesting than in something like puppet nightmares being just told an elemental type. On the plus side the moves are quite fun and the game is obviously pokemon enspired with fantasy etc, though I'll note that this probably takes a modern browser like Chrome and a screen reader that can cope with dialogues and popups.

If I remember rightly what you need to do is put in the code omitting the letter. For example the code would be ftd1flkffe and you'd be asked to enter the code omitting the letter f. So you'd type every letter in the code accept the f's: td1lke. The best way I've found to do this is to go through the code letter by letter and type as I go. The one problem I have run into is sometimes the simples like at sign or hash can be a little odd for me. Hth.

Well I'm back on the game now and giving things a try. There are a couple of things I'm finding a bit odd. The first is quests, since I have the alliance quest to kill a beholder, but it doesn't tell me where to find one, which is a mienr pest after along absence.Alsoo the "area" command tells me I have a quest in gnome tower. I did the entry quest to get into the tower which was cool, but though I looked through the rest of the tower nobody else seemed to have a quest for me which was odd. Maybe a "quest nearby" command or something might help, assuming there isn't one already that I forgot about. I will admit I also want to get past level 10 since it seems I've been level 10 for waaay too long .I also wonder if it might be possible to allow characters to have more tradeskills, or get more, since I'd love to try some more trades out, especially to earn cash and get armour as crafting is rather fun, especially with the soundpack.Lastly I wonder about sieges and how they work and whether you can actually contribute to the sieges, say by going and fighting  soldiers, as palam city was under attack but when I was standing outside the city nothing seemed to happen. Anyway nice to try out the game again.

Unfortunately I played for hours yesterday and seem to have buggered up my game completely in the third stage, the moral of the story seems to be  try to figure out complex games while extremely tired from a sleepless night and trust :random guides from redit D. Someone said to put a lot of points into replication for probes early on, but having lots of replication and no combat ability meant that the drifting probes replicated beyond the point I could actually kill them off even when I created probes of my own with nothing but! combat bonuses, so methinks I'll have to restart completely, which is bloody annoying!I will say access on this one is a bit odd, since while all the buttons are certainly  labeled there are a few images mentioned in the extremely comprehensive wiki (one which is virtually a stratogy guide and which I really should've trusted instead of random redits). The biggest issue from an access perspective seems to be quantum computing since there is an image of computer chips which goes dark and light, and you have to wait until it's going light to hit the compute button to maximise your operations. You can get this through the numbers, ie, if you hit the compute button a couple of times and the plusses seem to be going up, hit it a few more times, but it's rather inexact, so I'd recommend ignoring the guides here and actually putting points into processors to get you ops and creativity faster so you  afford upgrades quicker, though don't go above 30 processors.

Very cool guide Nolly, I've added a link to it on the db entry. It's good to know for me since thus far  one attempt at gem cutting didn't go well, though I admit I'm leaving that until I can start on higher level quests, have upgraded gold items and income is a bit more plentiful.one thing I have noticed about lore research though is that if you equip items with lore  you can get more guesses, which is often handy with some of  harder to research items. I'm not %100 sure what the ratio of lore bonuses to guesses is, (maybe something like plus five lore gets you an extra guess), but it definitely is noticeable.It also seems that the game conducts the dice roll for each quest at the time you attempt it, not at the  the quest is actually complete, so as long as you have your best strength/dex/int gear on when you actually begin the quest, it doesn't matter too much if  you change to lore or luck based gear afterwards. I do have one rather odd question though, which is I seemed to unlock the corish raid camp somewhere along the line and when I did some of the quests there I was getting success messages, even though there isn't  anything in my journal about having to go there, I wonder if perhaps I should've done more listening at inns earlier on?

Glad people like the page. I will say I don't seem to be experiencing the battery issue, and i have had Land of Livia running for a long while, on the other hand this is on my Iphone 8 that I only bought last month. Btw what is it with all the maps? Is there some superstition about showing a hole location on a map or something? Or did the sorceress get really! irritated with her tom tom not giving her the right directions so cursed anyone who tried to draw a map of more than one square mile.Hay maybe that's why she's monkeying with the weather, she's trying to get a good wifi signal .I do have one miner niggle with theb game, though I'm still very absorbed. First, it'd be nice if the game could mark items to say they're in the best strength/int/dex set, since while you can have items ordered by stats, as your effectively managing three sets of gear it can happen that you get a better item in one stat and then accidently ditch part of your other suit by mistake. It is also mildly confusing in that the alert you get warning you your about to get rid of one of your best items seems to trigger for quite a few things, indeed one simple way to solve the problem is for the alert to say which set the "best item" belongs to, for example "your about to get rid of your best lore item"I assume that as the game is able to auto equip your best gear anyway this should be relatively doable, though if not fair enough, I confess eq balancing is never my favourite part of rpgs anyway.

Well the threadcromancy here is because the game is back, or at least it's available On this site I'm giving it a try. I do like the number of little minigames involved, albeit it took me a while to work out the stock market, and I like the idea that you basically have to change strategy throughout the game. Nothing actually inaccessible, though some headings would've helped, also the stock market is rather confusing, or at least the best way I found to deal with it was hit deposit, read the total, and then wait to see if I got a bigger total, and if not sling in more cash. What is odd is even though stocks go up when you put your cash in initially, you can't withdraw for a while so bare that in mind.Right now I'm just waiting for enough operations to get people to trust me so I can start producing hypnodrones .

Provided you've got flash enabled in Ie, just  on the "embedded object" in the window and wait a while, the game will load and a page will open with new game, data etc that you can click on. I personally downloded the sdf file and now have it on my computer insteadd, since as the game isn't being updated anymore there is no reason not to play it on your pc (saving is easier that way too).Btw, still no news on the remake mod, I would recommend anyone interested please register on the corruption of champions forums and put a word in since if the developers know there is a little more demand for this they might make it a higher priority.

I do recall some typos in dead man walking, but they didn't spoil the game for me, I liked the different paths and how things worked out, particularly with how your character didn't have to be an idiot, although a few sections were a bit pulpy for my liking,  e.g finding your wife gagged and tied up by an escaped prisoner in your house who you then had to fight off. Still I did finish the game, got a good ending and liked the lack  random deathtrapes and the descriptions of various monstrous zombie types.

I'm afraid I disagree completely JaceK about the battle descriptions in Mecha ace. After all if your not going to describe a battle what is the point in having one? they gave a real sense of the world and I was totally in it while reading, considering options carefully and really bothered about myself and the people under my command. Then  again since once upon a time I did try to novelize the playstation rpg xenogears, I probably have a soft spot for battles between giant robots .MEcha ace had More of  a Gundam seed vibe for me than battletech or mech warrior, since battletech is far more about a distant future society where mechs are a part of the culture, where as like Gundam mecha ace happens in a rebellion of earth colonies against an authoritarian earth, also like Gundam there are heroes and villains on both sides and a lot of ideals about battle and honour, though not with the cultural stratification and formal duelling codes that battletech had.Btw, I'm still! waiting for tthat  mech fighting audiogame .

Is Endmaster the one who did dead man walking? I did enjoy that one myself, one of the better takes on interactive zombie fiction I've played. Also remember when talking in terms of the cog titles you also have the hg games to consider, that is the hosted games which are games made with the choice script  BUT FOR some reason differ enough from the Cog output to be marketed under  under another banner. These can very much range in quality, with best efforts that are truly amazing and worst efforts that  rather dire. Some of my favourite Hg titles have included fatehaven, zombie exodus, the samurai hyuga games and apex patrol (any game that lets you punt a villain into a captive star has to get my vote), though I will be the first to admit there are lots! of games I haven't played both under the cog and hg banners, including many that have got significant amounts of praise such as the sabres and guns of infinity series which are by the same author as mecha ace, which was all around awesome if you like giant robots . Suffice it to say if you judged all Cog titles by choice of the dragon, which is pretty much just an extende extended demo and not really an ambicious one (albeit it made me laugh a few times), your definitely missing the full range of what is on offer.

Hmmm even though I've not tried as many of their games as some the last word I'd use to describe games like mecha ace or choice of zombies is bland and generic, even choice of robots and hero's rise had their moments, and the last monster master I found so difficult to play I wound up giving in since I always felt it very personally if I took a choice which upset my monsters . I've played some good games on chooseyourstory, but also unfortunately lots of drek that sounded as if it was written by a ten year old.

Ironically I had bought just enough gold upgrades to cover the thousand gold for the ship, before it occurred to me to actually check the journal and  heard about listening at sturn's shipping outpost, I assumed I'd got everything when i finished the captain goal, but that'll learn me . I'm now making my way into the mighty jungle, lets hope the lion is sleeping tonight . End of spoilers! Still not tried gem cutting as yet  as I haven't had the gold to spare.

There is a direct link on the db page. just download the tar.Gz folder, extract the contents twice (don't know why you need to do this twice but you do), then drop the sound folder into the sounds folder in the vipmud directory in documents. i believe you need the full version of vipmud to play the sounds since it uses msp, but I'm not %100 sure on this hth.

I confess Land of Livia is getting a wee bit grindy at the moment as the next thing I need to do to progress is buy the ship, however since  i've bought the three real estate items available from the towns, the only way to increase my max gold is to upgrade those items, which takes more gold.I'm getting about 30 gold per quest, and it's probably going to take me another 900 or so gold to upgrade my real estate items enough, plus of course 1000 gold for the ship itself, though of course if I upgrade my parrot to increase gold drops that might change the figures a bit.I haven't got to this legendary quest yet, though as that takes listening at inns which in turn means more gold that might take me a while to get to . One thing I would like to see in the game which might alleviate the lack of funds, would be the ability to go and work for a few hours. used Say when you go to sleep or aren't likely to be having your phone handy  few minutes or so. it'd be nice to have a longer option say to work for between 2 and 12 hours, earning no experience or items, but a certain amount of gold per hour, say starting  with 30 gold for a lower level job, but rising as you do more higher level jobs. That way you could go to bed, or go out to work yourself or whatever other thing might take up your time not questing,  and come back in the morning to a bunch more gold which you could then use  to upgrade items etc.

Moderation! Since this  concerns updates to an established game I'll move this to new releases. Glad you like the db page and that there are more updates with classic six dragons as it is a game I really like myself, I probably ought to fire up my character and see what is happening, although I seemed to have reached a slight empass where quests were concerned as I remember, also I'd love to see the ability to earn extra trade skills so you can try out different trades as one character, and maybe some npc sieges and such since there was a lot about siege warfare but no way of trying it out from what I gathered. Either way glad to here the game is still up and running and I'll see about popping along to try things out myself.One final question I do have relates to the relationship between classic six dragons and days of dragons Website here Which seems pretty much a mod of Classic 6d but with some differences, e.g no beast master, and from what I could gather no soundpack either.

I'm not exactly sure what the percentage chance on lore items refers to, though I do gather that playing mastermind with them increases their quality, still I'll see what happens when I manage to get a tear 4 lore item.Btw, I wonder how long the prologue is? I have bought chapters 1 and 2 because I really enjoy the game and want to support further work on it, and because I will want to play those chapters when I get there, but yee gods I've been playing for several days and still! seem to be trying to finish the prologue quest .

@Aaron, thanks for the fixes especially around the map. While I do understand Slj missing the paths, at the same time it's great to have all locations available, and it'll still be possible to plan routes especially when returning  to previously visited places. A to inventory, since you can't actually quest with a full inventory it's not going to be possible to keep anything until I have some more space, but never mind, I will be getting some more space in literally half an hour . I'll be looking forward to exploring what else the game has to offer, though I've not tried gem cutting as yet.

@DJEPIC, have you got notifications allowed from land of Livia? I believe all the quest complete messages are notifications, so you might want to check that. I've progressed fairly well and even got my first gem, though I don't want to risk cutting it yet. However I've run into a miner issue since my inventory is full and I can't do anymore questing. I was going to keep some of the gear I have that has lore and luck bonuses and then see about upgrading it, but I'll probably need to let that go in order to continue questing, at least until I can afford some of those inventory expanding companions. i will say with the need to have basically one complete set of gear for each stat and 9 wear locations, that doesn't allow much chance for lee way or keeping lore and luck boosting items, or at least not until I've expanded my inventory some more. Oh well, at least it gives things to work for. one thing I do find a little odd is that the tem generation is fairly rigid.  That is to say there seem to be suffixes and  but not a lot of variation in clothing types or descriptions, for example everything is "cloth armour" rather than being robes or shirts or whatever, similarly all weapons are swords. it'd be a little more interesting if the game let you have different item types even jsut for variety, since "clever silk slippers" and "pirates hobnail boots" would sound much more atmospheric than "clever cloth boots" and "pirates' cloth boots" but so it goes.

Yep Slj, I was playing all night, and now am wandering around with my phone waiting for questing or travelling or something to happen . One thing I will say is that the progression is judged well for such a potentially grindy game, you can follow the quests in quick enough order to make you feel your not just getting utterly stuck or doing the same thing over again, though I do wish that some of the success or failure quests, especially the more unusual ones like the Shaman's task had a success or failure text to go with them. Also, my one miner access niggle at the moment is with paths, since when a location is locked it seems you must be at the correct prior location to travel to it. Usually this is  easy to guess based on where you were previously, though in some cases it isn't.

I'll go back to old ins and check, there are companions and such I'd like to recruit there anyway, nice if you can get extras by listening at ins, and also a great use for excess gold. I have noticed the path problem though, when I was in the wrong place to get to a new location. Perhaps the developer could add some text, (maybe vo hint text), on the location buttons telling you which has paths going to where, if there are on screen dotted lines we're missing. Still it's not a big deal, or at least not with the size of map I've seen so far, though if there are too many locations that might not be the case.Edit: Lol, worked out the lore research game, actually I'm rather kicking myself for not checking the help. I assumed it was white markers for right in the right place, and red markers for right in the wrong place when it's the other way around! . No wonder I was having trouble, of course just working out the minigame is only half the battle, what you then do with these lore items is another question.

Yep, I'm getting that the game is something of a fire and forget, but on the other hand that does make it nice to do when doing something else, and at least the game has reasonable equipping options and doesn't require you to take hours looking through god knows how many complex stat tables. I  tried one of the lore fragment things. I really should've got it but the markers seemed very odd according to what I was doing, still I'll try again at some stage. The only thing that worries me at the second is lack of text, since I really wish the generic quests had a bit of text to say how you did. Even adventure based games like Warriors 2 and Kingdom of loathing had this, and does make the game feel a bit more like playing fruitpot sometimes. Still, so long as progress is fast enough to give me new locations to look over that should be okay I think especially if I play the game while doing something else such as reading or playing another game, actually it makes quite a nice aside while playing Huboodle .

Huboodle now has a db page, find it here Actually I feel a little guilty for not getting this done sooner, indeed I do hope Lee hobbs and others at Appa11y didn't think my miner irritation at the signup process was the reason the page didn't get added . As with other multiple game platforms such as Rs games, the page will get expanded with details of more games as and when they are added. I'm also afraid that I did take a miner shortcut and simply note that Word war, Battle cats and Word builder are available for Android. Btw,  Had you considered making a "casino"  separate from the other games containing black jack, Pirate Poker and likely the wheel of fortune too? It just seemed a little strange to me that the wheel of fortune was inside trivia trail, when all the other games were separated, and especially if more casino games are coming in the future, it'd be nice if there was a specific place for them. one thing I am liking in Huboodle is the extensive single player options and the congrats messages, that's definitely a nice way around, and also appeals to the less competitive, though the competition options are obviously there too. One game I'd love to see (indeed I've been looking for for a while), is a board game style trivial pursuit, with different squares offering different questions, indeeda Huboodle board game where different squares involved different types of challenge or casino games would be pretty cool, especially to play with someone else, actually my lady is a big fan of word and trivia games, and though we do play games on the Amazon Alexa it'd be nice to have something for Ios we could do together, or indeed separately.

I am enjoying the game, but either I am very unlucky or the percentage rates shown on quests aren't accurate, since the number of times I've failed at a  quest with %80 success rate is rather astounding .I can see the game being fun with it's progressive gameplay, though I hope there is enough ntext to keep matters interesting once you've finished the tutorial, since the problem I had with a lot of rpgs that are prepare and forget is that they can feel a little too disconnected from the player, e.g you just equip your character with the best weapon and armour and then do an automated quest or combat, and the fact that the quests themselves don't seem to come with much by way of explanatory text.Still we'll see I'm still on the tutorial at the second.

Yep Orin, the web interface for flexible survival is completely accessible (accept for the graphical maps, lots of buttons and headings and such. There are various npcs around in different areas, many of whom have quests to do or can sell you things or do functions. One thing I really like is the "check" command which you can do of an object or npc to see what it does or what quest they have. WhielWhile there aren't tonnes of quests like in something like Alteraeon or cyber assault, there are several, and many have some pretty  unique content with things to do,  oh and not all sexual things either, though there is of course some of that.

Well I've signed up for this one, you can find me as darkempathy, though I've only got as far as playing through the tutorial and reading the help.The game does look fun, but there are lots of buttons for the different cards and such, so I'll have to give it a try to see what to press where. I am playing in Chrome with vnda currently and the tutorial worked okay. The principle does seem interesting, and since I want to get back to my own creative writing this strikes me as a nice idea, assuming that there are open games for me to join of course. If we're talking throne room events, one thing I'd find cool are some cases with not necessarily a right or wrong answer but with different consequences. For example, The servant of a merchant who is convicted of stealing, but the servant claims the merchant hasn't been paying them. If you side with the servant, your reputation and peasant levies increase, while if you side with the merchant, your given more gold by the merchant's guild as a thank you, where as if you send them both to the arena to fight out their differences, your reputation increases and you get some more cash for the fight (people love a spectacle).Another case might be a daughter forced into an arranged marriage with an old rich noble by her parents who comes to you for help.If you command her to marry the old noble, you gain one extra knight since the noble joins your cause as a just ruler, however you lose a bit of reputation among the peasants who think it's an unromantic outcome. If you  say she can marry whoever she wants, the parents refuse her a dowery and she marries a poor farmer, which means your reputation increases, and you gain one extra peasant in your army, but you lose some gold since you have to then pay her dowery yourself. Or you have two land owners arguing about the ownership of a  peace of land on their estate, one an old noble family who has owned the land for generations and claims it as their birthright, the other a new merchant family who have just purchiced the land. If you side with the merchants, you are given more gold, if you side with the nobles, a knight joins your cause, while if you throw them both in your dungeon and take the land yourself your reputation goes down but your harvest  increase. decisions like these with unforseen consequences would be very cooll and give the idea that your actually a ruler of a dynamic kingdom with a lot more going on outside the battelfield, even if essentialy the game can't show it.

[[wow]] this is awesome indeed! I have been missing edx ever since I got windows 10 and wondering what to do. I was hoping the talking dosbox project might help with edx but again I'm not sure what has happened to Frank Black as crashmaster said. I hope he's okay, in 2012-14 Edx development was going strong, more adventures got ported, you'll even find some of my reviews from me in edx news letters, but then Frank Black dropped off the map. I did get a mail from him in 2016 apologizing for his absence but though I replied he didn't get back to me.Either way this looks like a great project. The only thing I'm sorry about currently is that a lot of the Edx tweaks don't seem to have made it into eamon Remastered. Particularly,  the extended version of the Text main hall which included a lot of options for using the gold you gained from progressive adventures to expand your character doesn't seem to be there. this is a shame, since otherwise there aren't really ways to increase your hardiness, agility and charisma other than by cheating in a few adventures. Also, I wonder if some of the adventures like the Jim Jacobson ones are the originals, or have Frank blacks additions from Edx. Then again on the plus side, there are several Eamon adventures here that I've not played beforee and weren't available in edx such as curse of the hellblade and cliffs of fire, which is good, it's also really awesome to be able to play Eamon on my windows 10 machine. This will definitely be getting a db page soon, and I look forward to seeing more Eamon adventures ported across, since to say I've been a huge Eamon fan ever since I first discovered Eamon deluxe in 2008, I haven't played that much of Eamon catalogue, which is a shame.

Vipmud or mushclient are your best bets. Vipmud is from www.gmagames.com and will work out of the box (it works fine with flexible survival). It is a commercial program,but you can go on useing the free version with little restriction accept for a two hour cutout and a nag message, indeed the one major drawback of the free version, no msp or mud sound protocol support will not be an issue in fs mud since there is no sound. Mushclient I know less about. It's a commercial client but people have written addons that make it screen reader accessible including mushreader. Minaly people will have used it if they've played the rpg game alteraeonn. If you want to find out more about mushclient, I suggest starting a topic in general game discussion, though personally vipmud is what I would recommend and  what I use myself.Hth.

@Rio Aryo, finding the good ending is the idea in most gamebooks of the ff type, the gorey endings are like a gameover.Impudent peasant and the black lobster both have good endings (in the case of the Black lobster two different ones actually), not sure on the diamond key since I've not managed to get through that one. @Jayde, Escape from Nuruanberg keep is imho the worst book on the site, not because of the seriously overdone torture, though that is so extreme and sparsely described it's bad enough, but because your actual choices are fairly minimal. For all the blood and guts the author rarely gives you chances to influence the actual flow of the story seriously, which is quite a problem, indeed looking at some of her comments on the guestbook she seems basically more interested in the torture than the gamebook side of things . As for other books, many I haven't had a serious go with. Outsider I've not managed to finish so I won't be starting this one, similarly, with Ulysses A's commic sf ones, wrong way go back is so completely harsh with the limited time mechanic I've never got through it far enough to try any of his others which is a shame.Same goes for Hellfire and it's sequel. Maybe i'm just a completionist, but I always have to get through number 1 before number 2. Alabar's toom though is one of my favourites on the site, I've finished it three times. I like the fact  logic actually helps with that one, the only downer is you do have to reroll a bit to get a high skill score, since if you don't have a skill of 10 or higher your pretty much dead meat.

Hmmm, yep I do see the problem, however it's a standard form. Username, password, repeat password, email address, then select class and gender through the dropdowns. Everything in game is labeled, indeed if you look at the Crimson moon db page  you'll find a few tips on nav help. While I do agree this is a miner pest, it shouldn't be a trouble once you've signed up, and there are after all none of those inaccessible capchas or similar.

This is essentially a mod of Crimson moon see index Instead of being attacked by a vampire or werewolf and raised as undead, instead your recruited into the armed forces as one of a number of specialist troop types to join the war against the aliens who have invaded the earth. The outer area, rather than being full of fantasy creatures is a barren set of satellites and space locations where you can battle alien nasties, similarly, instead of training at the tooth and nail gym, you will find yourself tweaking your characters genetics with the virtualiser. I'm not far enough into the game to determine what exactly the differences are between this and crimson moon in gameplay terms. The game does have more player types and  to have more missions and quests, but again i'm not %100 sure here. Either way, Crimson moon had more to it than met the eye, and so if like me scifi is more your  than the undead feel free to give this one a try.Sign up here Oh and yes, that is my referal link .

Hi. Peaches and cream now has a db page, find it Here I found that if I installed the game in my audiogames folder, which I've stuck an exception on for windows defender things worked out, so I've mentioned  on the entry, indeed I might put together a brief article on how to  a folder exception just so people know as I had to go hunting for it. One suggestion I do have for peaches and cream is I'd love to be able  use the board creator to change  identity of the hazard object. For example it'd be cool to create a Doctor Who board with things like The tardis, the sonic screw driver, various regenerations of the doctor and a number of companions etc, and then have the hazard object be the Daleks or the cybermen. You could actually have some humour in this, e.g have the hazard for the school objects board and the  be the school inspector, or the need to locate cities of England  stumbling across the channel and winding up in Paris by mistake, or the object in the game systems board  to find all the game consoles while not being lead astray by the evil Pc .I would also like to see  ability to have different board sizes or amounts of hazards around at higher levels, to make matters a little harder, though if this is already in the game and I've just not progressed far enough to see it, fair enough.

Hi. I used the feedback button on the settings page of the ap to attempt to explain my  issue with creating an account, however that just opened an email. As I don't have  bluetooth keybord for my phone, writing emails with the  on screen keyboard is prohibitively time consuming, I did attempt to use the dictate function but I am not sure if it worked. Either way the email would be from my address dark at x g a m dot org, and hopefully contains all the data needed. New gamebook on ffproject, New day rising

Yes we have a new adventure to play through. For those not familiar with the fighting fantasy project, this is a site which provides interactive gamebooks to play through, more details see The db page here these are not like the Cog/hg titles as they have more combat with mechanics and stats and are usually harder to get through (If you want to know the meaning of evil try hellfire). iv'e had a lot of fun with these over the years, and it's great mor  are till being produced. This latest entry is the sequel to Gavin Mitchel's outsider though apparently it's possible to play stand alone). In it you play the son of a necromancer who desires to become an adventurer rather than following his father's rather squelshy zombie footsteps. Whether the halfelf assassin from Outsider will show up I'm not sure, but either way you can play New day rising :here Happy adventuring.

I'll look forward to it. I also wondered if you considered messing with weapon properties, e.g weapons that  more than one turn to hit, weapons that could hit multiple barricades at once, or weapons that could even disrupt a current building project, e.g firing arrows at your builders. You could also consider hit/miss mechanics so there might be a possibility of weapons  and doing zero damage, though I'm less a fan of that since iit's more fun to keep the destructionn constant. Definitely looking forward to seeing what happens with this one.

Funny Connor I never found that with turns, but even if you do need to pay for the game, the amount you need to pay is ridiculously low and the number of turns you get stupidly high when you have subscriber days,   like about several thousand! I can't recall how much supporter time costs since  prices are in tokens, but if I remember correctly it's not much at all, e.g it works out at around 15  for a year.

Okay this is one I saw many years ago but couldn't register due to the capcha. I have now registered and there captcha isn't an issue (or at least it hasn't been thus far. The game is similar to Drakor and the old game "the reborn" namely where your character does automatic clicker idle type actions while you sit around and look at boosts, although from what I've gathered combat isn't half as interessting as in drakor. The game is very into hotspot clicking, which is a miner pest, though fortunately it's so fire and forget the skills activate fairly easily. There is one problem though which is that the navigation links are list items not links. This means they can be easily navigated  whatever your screen reader's "move to next list item" key is (it's i in Nvda), however clicking on them is somewhat of a problem. The most major issue I've had with this is absolutely no way at all to get to my characters' inventory and either see what items I've gathered. Apparently it's under the "game help and options" list item, but when I click on that nothing happens at all. This means no battling, and also that selling anything I get through skilling is very hard, since this game has no "sell all" type of box, which is quite frustrating. Imho this one isn't as interesting as Drakor, but it is probably easier to play, or at least would be if A, we can sort this inventory issue, and B the Capcha isn't stupid. Either way if people want to give it a try and report access wise, feel free to help me out by using My referal link Btw, I think on reflection I prefer skilling, crafting mining etc in muds, just because you have to do more and the activities can be more interesting and interactive. That's actually one thigng I really like about flexible survival, you can play it in the background as a browser game using automatic combat and social actions, or you can log in to the mud for the full experience, or you can do both at once. Anyway, if people want to let me know what they think to Gates of survival this one might be good for people looking for a more idle game, assuming that the inventory problem can be fixed.

Okay this one is probably going to be familiar to anyone who has played A3, that is alien adoption agency,  or Loraeon before. Play a robot in a futuristic earth and battle other robots. Battles are sadly one click affairs, however as in  losing battles doesn't mean much and you do have some different items and such to play with even at the beginning. one thing I will say is getting help info is fairly difficult, since the library says it's being depricated in favour of a wiki, yet the wiki link went floopy whenver I've tried it which isn't good. On the other hand the faqs seem fairly well documented. First, note that to see all places in the game you need  go to "town directory", this includes the Ria, that is robot intelligence agency where you can get quests and newbie tutorials. There are also chances to explore on a grid based map, though I've not managed to find anything, actually the item drop on the grid seems  stingy. On the plus side there are lots of activities and not the kind of restrictions games like a3 placed on people, and it's predominatnly text with none of the image issues. while I'll admit this wasn't what I was searching for when i went game hunting people might want to check it out, and Here is my referal link to be going on with

Hi Dardar. I've started making db entries for your games so the timing on this one is pretty good. One question though and it relates to fist of fury. The game was detected and auto deleted by windows defender, which is odd since it hasn't happened to any other of your games thus far, any ideas what is going on?

Well Christal D, the choiceofgames and hosted games titles are a good place to start. They aren't interactive fiction in the traditional sense with a parser and need to type commands, they are rather gamebooks where you choose your action by using standard html links. The clever thing though is that in each game you have stats which define your character. not rpg like stats such as strength intelligence etc, but stats which define the way your character behaves and  alter throughout the story.. For example in Fatehaven, one of imho the best titles I've played, there are stats for honesty vs duplicity.  if your very honest and don't lie very much your honesty will increase and your duplicity decrease and visa versa, however if your a very honest person and try telling a lie or concealing the truth, or even just evading in conversation your not likely to get on very well, while if your a very duplicitous character you might have a hard time convincing others your telling the truth when you in fact are. thus getting through the games involves playing consistantly. You also have stats for different paths, for example in the naval warfare game choice of broadsides you have stats for loyalty/independence, ie, how much your loyal to king and country, and how much your out for yourself, so if you want to end the game as lord high admiral you probably won't do well if your independence stat is very high, on the other hand if you want to end by emulating Henry Morgan the pirate you won't do well raising your loyalty too far. The games are published under two banners if you like Choiceofgames titles which are officially approved by choiceofgames, and hosted games titles which are not. There are awesome games I've played in both categories, so it's worth checking both out.  a long discussion of lots of the games you can check out This topic Actually now my Iphone is back in working order I would like to get back to trying these out for myself as there are plenty I haven't played yet.
