Hi Monkey.If you don't know pure basic yet you probably shouldn't attempt something like this. You won't get very far, it's not easy to program, and you will probably only succeed at making a half-baked clone of what dmnb was meant to be.Also I wouldn't recommend demanding someone to help you learn pure basic, if you really want to learn try being more polite about it. Or learn to code yourself which would be much better for you.

I don't like when things like this happen, but projects like this, which are not well thought out, usually go down sooner rather than later. Really this is just choice of games with sound. It would've been more compelling if they had tried to make an audio game, instead of making audio text adventures.

Hi.I've tried both the paladin and manamon demos and I really like them. This guy is a great developer! I'm wondering though are both these games still available to buy? There's no need to be rude try to be kinder we don't need that sort of thing on this forum.@Cuddley, well death match will come eventually. You have to remember it takes a long time to code, make sure everything is working together properly. Just think of it this way if you want a high-quality game with cool features it might take a while to put together but in the end it will be worth the wait.

Hi Caio.Well you have to make a cup with clay then you can go fill it with water in the stream at the starting area. THEN YOU CAN DRINK AND KEEP FROM DYING. this might have changed since I've been off for a while but that's how I used to do it. I read something the other day about purifying water but I don't know anything about that. Check all the cool guides and walkthroughs for stw they can help answer whatever questions you have.Hth.

I haven't looked but I seriously doubt the night has a sound pack. If this was a well-known mud like alter-aeon it probably would have gotten a soundpack years ago. Since it seems the night is new to some people on this forum I would take a guess and say no there isn't a soundpack.Hth.

Hi.Well I am loving cosmic rage! It seems like the more I play it the better it gets. And I love the vipmud soundpack. It's the first time I've used a soundpack to play a mud besides mush-z.I'm curious how do you make a mud? I don't spacifically mean something like cosmic rage just building muds in general. Are there toolkits or a language focused on making muds? I would just google it although I'm not sure what to google. Hello Everyone.Well I am loving cosmic rage! I have one small problem though. Last night I had vipmud 1.1 which for some reason stopped working. I had the cosmic rage soundpack working just fine before that. I couldn't get vipmud to work again so I installed vipmud 2.0 which by the way I think is a lot better than 1.1. Anyway I installed vipmud 2.0 put the cosmic rage folder in the sounds folder and the scripts folder into the vipmud directory than renamed scripts to cosmic rage. But when I connected I'm getting no sound I had it working fine before. Is there an update to the soundpack or a way to fix to problem so I can have sound for cosmic rage? Does it matter that I used upper case or lower case letters in the folder names? Any help would be nice.

Hello.Well I love cosmic rage so far! I got my soundpack working instantly last night before I even started the game but maybe it's because I'm using vipmud 1.1. I did my character creation which was really fun.I'm having a problem getting started though I bought a info computer and a radio. I also bought my equipment for mining the shovel, scanner, and container. But I can't find a place to mine. I went to the planet grosco crah but I can only find the shopping center and places like that. I tried using my info computer but it just tells me about mining areas it doesn't tell me how to get to them. Can someone tell me where the mining area is on grosco crah? Normallly I would ask in game but I've been bothering everyone on there so much I just figured I would ask on here. If I could get help starting out mining I would really appreciate it.

Hi Guys.Read the posts it is not ready yet and danny will let us know when it is.@Momo7807, read danny's posts. He said that a mac version might be possible but it hasn't been tested yet. And no there has been nothing said about iOs. That would be cool but let me tell you it would be tough to make a game for desktops and then make it for iOs. This is because they are too different interfaces. On desktops you use keyboard and mouse support to do things in the game. On iOs or android it's different because you have to make it for a touch screen and use jiro and things like that.Hth.

Hi Nibar.Danny doesn't need to waste time on something like that just get goldwave. If you don't know what that is google it. Open the ogg file with that. If you don't want it to be an ogg file convert it to whatever you want.I don't know which part of project aplha your talking about but if you mean that part towards the end upgrade your weapons as much as possible then move as fast as you can out of the enemies way because they get faster towards the end.

Hello Firefly82.I don't remember which status I started trying out combat missions. But once you have enough credits let's say 40 or 50 million you can buy a ship to start combat missions. Once you have a ship like a dracula or a light attacker jump to sector 15 go to the utf patrol base and go to the bounty center. Go and do training missions 1 and 2 then start on the entry level missions. The more ships you destroy the more credits and piloting points you will get if you make it back to the patrol base alive. But remember you can't leave the enemy sector until you have destroyed all the enemy ships or your ship has been destroyed. And if you don't think your ready for a real combat mission just land at a docking platform and type train. Then you can set your number of ships and what type of ship you want stuff like that.What is your name on prometheus? Hi.I've been playing this mud for a few weeks now and it just gets more and more incredible!I've just tried out combat a couple of times and I have failed. I was wondering does anybody have strategies for combat missions? I've tried the first entry level mission where you have to destroy 5 enemy ships but I have failed everytime. My strategy is to move from one side of the map to the other from 1 1 1 to 20 20 20 and wait for the enemy ships to come to me. But that doesn't seem to work they get to me and if I focus on a ship it seems like the other ships get to me before I can attack the focused ship. I've also tried sneaking up on the ships with the sublight drive which I've done in training missions but that doesn't seem to give me any kind of advantage.Any help would be appreciated.

HiAprone if you did take paid sounds I'm certainly not going to tell on you or anything but you have to be very careful with stuff like this you take other companies sounds and they'll make your life miserable. Jim kitchen did this for years luckily for him he was able to get away with it somehow. But if I were you I wouldn't take that risk. It's funny I never thought about this but your one of the few developers on here that doesn't have a logo sound or theme song on your games. I'll try and think up something make an aprone's software logo sound.

Hi Wp85.No I don't think so but I have a demo of jaws on my pc and when I run the updater I use that and it reads the progress bar just fine. So maybe get a jaws demo it reads progress bars a lot better sometimes. Also in the nvda menu you can set progress bars to beap or speak and beep. You won't hear the percentage of the progress bar but the beaps will increase in tone until progress has completed. Oh and I'm wade on alter aeon if you want to do a quest on there or need help just let me know.Hth.

Hello Everyone.I really want to play this game but my computer won't let me. Whenever I open the setup file this window that says download insight pops up. It won't let me continue and I can't navigate it with the jaws or nvda cursors. Could someone upload a zip file of the game or if not that could you tell me how to get around this download insight thing? I know it's norton that's causing the problem but I don't know how to stop it.

Hello Aaron.Well you could come up with names for the buttons and have one button normal and one button embossed like cae said. And however many buttons you have you could consider them action buttons which would punch or have the character jump and things like that. Then you could have a set of directional buttons or a joystick that would control the player's movement. Then you could have a shaped pause button so that it stands out from the others. And of course there is no reason to label the touch screen lol.I've also been thinking about how you could script games. What I imagine is something whith the simplicity but flexibility of python but of course without the indentation. If you have ever used python then you know what I mean. This way you can do simple things like display text and play sounds but also do complex things like movement and enemy behavior things like that.And I really like your idea about using the touch screen and buttons together
 . The way I imagined it was like the playstation vita where you can turn off one and use the other. I've never played a game where you use both buttons and a touch screen at the same time it sounds awesome. And as far as I know it's never been done before.

Hello Mike-tan.I'm not sure but I think the supernova screed reader and dolphin orpheus are one in the same but as far as I know it's only available in the uk and it's not free you have to pay for it like jaws or windows-eyes.Hth.

Okay techmaster I'm not a mind reader but I think I can guess what danny would say to you. You will not be running dmnb no matter how well behaved you are. No NO! There are plenty of better picks for people to run this game. I don't think danny is going to take a break from this game I think what he means is that he is going to take a break from development. So if you cause trouble like you have before I'm sure he and the other admins will know about it right away. If steve's posts don't bother you then why do you keep replying? And your whole victim thing has been going on for pages so just give it up take it like a man.Now back to the game. I can't wait for all this cool new stuff to be implemented. I haven't played in a couple days so I'll have to get back on there when the server is back up.

Hi.@Severestormsteve, when you are mining turn off the apu unit and your ship will continue to mine that way your not losing any fuel.@Chrisfaelnar, no you don't need credits to run a bounty mission just press g and get a mission then when you complete the mission you get credits. The bounty mission credits aren't working right now but when they are fixed you will get credits when missions are completed. To get fuel press g and select refuel ship. Just remember you have to be on a space station to do this. The cargo ships do exactly what you would think hall cargo. I wouldn't get that as your first ship it's very expensive.@Danny, I was doing a bounty mission last night and I thought of a cool feature to add. When you get a bounty mission sometimes it could be a rescue mission. So instead of just hunting down a ship you have to save a ship that is under attack. That would be awesome maybe if you accidentally hit the ship your trying to rescue 
 maybe you loose some credits for that. Let me know what you think.

Do you think this series could include alien races later on? Putting in a part of dmnb or the other one where you go beyond the outer rim to find some different races. Maybe some are good and some are extremely evil. I have plenty of ideas for alien races so pm or email me and we can talk about it.Maybe you can create an awful race like the romulans in star trek lol.

Hello.Well crashmaster I'm sorry to say this but that was a long ramble about really nothing at all. Instead of these long rambles why don't you just come right out and say what you mean.@Danny, well I just have a few simple suggestions. First that there should be a fuel reserve. Not a huge one just so if we're on a bounty mission and run out we have enough to get back to a station. Also a refueler ship. This is the only thing I agreed with crashmaster about. If you're way out in space with no power to get back to a station and need fuel you can call a fuel ship. And I think this ship could only be used a certain amount of times before you have to go back to a space station.And finally my last suggestion. To reduce lag you should give people the option to delete there own ships. Let's say you have a corean mining ship but then you get a bigger mining ship then you don't need your corean ship anymore so you just delete it.Anyway

Hi Wp85.What I do is slow my screen reader down as much as possible. Then use period and comma to go back and forth through messages. Use shift comma and shift period to move to the top or bottom of the buffer. Now when you get to your bounty mission instructions with your screen reader slowed down listen to the coords carefully and right them down. Then get to your ship go to your auto pilot console and type the coords you wrote down.Hth.
