I personally didn't really find this joke funny, it's not like I looked at the game or anything because others described it for me and I had a feeling it was a prank anyway, but that goes without saying that I'm not going to complain about it or try to drag people down who thought it was funny - more power to you man. It is just a bit sad when you have massive amounts of people complaining and complaining and complaining. I think partly the reason is for this is that people get overly excited when they hear that a new game has been released so they don't really find the joke funny. I should go back and look at Rastly again, that one was funny but it also had the worst backlash.

They've increased their quality plenty. There're still bad stories around but basically unless you aren't at least trying you get thrown out the window.Needless to say Endmaster is my favourite author on there And interesting, please make a list of the best choice of games because I really need entertainment. @Joseph maybe my brain is getting confused, I need to go back and actually play the game again. See,  some parts of this review was made about a month ago, then today I was bored so figured why not smoothen it up a little and finish it. Meh, stuck around the goblin tunnels again. Or well ... I wasn't really stuck the first playthrough as I found the letters immediately. This time though, idk what's up with me. 2/3 found, one missing.Also yeah, the only viable way I'm running xp now is with Alexia actively healing, lest I want to spend thousands on potions. Wasn't really the case when playing on easy.I wish the warrior class had more substance, maybe a way to tank in general, intimidation and group tactics, organized retreats (although at the moment retreat isn't really an issue since just trying it a few times will get me away).

Meh, trecking through the goblin mines and stuff now ... it's the last quest I'm doing before I hit the final boss again. We'll see how hard it is but I'm doing a lot of damage at the moment so I doubt it'll be an issue.Also AlexN94, Shryth, whatever ... there's a post somewhere in this massive thred where a guy lightning stormed the final boss to death, in only one round. My predicament is that I'll end up doing the same by the way my character is going. Bosses on hard aren't really super hard, once you've got the group tactics laid down, are well prepared and have some potions to boot.And yeah, sneak attack is awesome. I manage to do 4 sneak attacks in a row, hahaha killing off anyone attacking me.I wish that enemies were a little faster normally, since right now I can pretty much recover from whatever the enemy throws at me. There's no nasty ambush where the enemy starts out, and I wish it kinda did.

@Ironcross, agree about a lot of the battling sounds. Also one more thing that shouldn't be too hard to do, is that if your character attacks twice in a row, or even more, he or she shouldn't run up to the enemy twice ... lol.A bug to report:I think this is related to running away from a battle. If I've ran away from battles previously, the next encounter I do choose to engage in makes me sit through some weird sequence of hearing myself being attacked by creatures that aren't present and supposedly taking damage although the battle log shows nothing of that. Has anyone else encountered this bug?

@Jade I use Alexia as my healer anyway. Playing on hard difficulty that's really necessary. I recommend giving her good mana, and lots of agility so she can be quick to heal. Then there're the few boosting abilities of course. So she's quite a neat support character.Edit:Until the mystery is solved with exorsist / passifist, you could always just skip over and not pick it until it's been clarified. Or create a save file to test out passifist. I quite liked it, though seeing as I couldn't test the counterpart I can't really comment.

Spoilers ahead:@Jade I was level 28 when I defeated the final boss, and he was pretty easy. But yeah I do agree about bosses not really feeling like bosses --- but then again I'm also on easy just like you. I  should get around to the hard difficulty.Also my warrior never learned finesse or anything. Warrior seems to be pretty empty content-wise sadly. Gonna go try out a necromancer now.

Got some bugs to report, and withdraw.Spoilers:First of all, the bandit quest wasn't bugged. I was bugged. I missed the one near the fishery. Oh well.However there seems to be bugs when you replay the game on the same character. I can't locate the talisman in it's usual place, north large bedroom in the inn. I'm assuming this is just one of the many things that are broken with restarting.Question: where is the best place to get gold ore? My goldress is slow and I only find a few at a time which is annoying.

I'm gonna replay this at some point on hard difficulty because ... well on easy there was no sense of difficulty for me. The bosses weren't particularly difficult. Then again my warrior char can do over 2000 damage with cripple so hmm.Spoiler:I'm still stuck on the bandits quest, laying down the law. Hmm, I completed the main story within a day after the purchase, definitely a lot of fun. I think I may have broken the quest "laying down the law" because I entered a bandit campsite and got jumped as expected but then I tried running away and it actually worked, and even though I've strolled up and down the entire deepwoods, both the forest and ruins map, and entered every bandit campsite I've seen, nothing seems to work.Also Joseph I hope this can be expanded in the future. I want to visit Stonebay goddamnit! Just saying because you have an awesome engine set in place. I could be reporting bugs and such of missing files but I think people already are doing so and it would just be redundant for me. Only one game-breaking bug that comes to mind. If you press enter and try to skip the battle synematics too fast or too often or something, the game crashes.Seriously though thank you and your team so much for the amazing work. I hope the adventure continues ... time to go thumbs up every post you've made to give you some karma ... or well at least a couple of them.

It's sad ... I can see both sides here. And neither side will be satisfied with what the other one produces. I really don't think Stefan is a bad guy, I've had personal correnspondence with him over some things. But I'm also a bit of an aviation  geek, not to the extent that Ironcross or Simba is though but still, flying a real airplane has always been my childhood dream. Eurofly will never satisfy me on that front, I can guaranty that.@Ble Blat if you ever get a development group going for a flight sim, please let me know, you can mail me through the forum or add me to skype andreas.andersson1996 when that time comes if it does.Shame on me for pushing that Eurofly was the best game of 2016, and the only reason I did so was that I saw a future in the project, and while it is progressing, it still has a long, long, long way to go and it's moving way too slowly. Well, I wasn't going to push a ripoff like Manamon for best game of 2016 considering it was actually invented 20+ years ago!Still, it was kinda fun while it lasted, but I won't be playing any more Eurofly. Mostly due to losing interest in it, I mean there're only so many sequences you can complete and so many hours you can sit through nothing before getting bored. It was mostly because Liams complaint about stealing sounds from his own game that I finally decided to put a lid on it.I wish you the best of luck in future developments!

So sure as hell I can wait a little longer!It's just that I worry to be spoiled about it. You know ... the feeling when a brand new car has just come out of production and you want to be the first customer to test drive it. You feel so supreme and royal. I haven't actually done this because I'm blind lol but I can put myself in the situation. For me it's the same here. I want to be the first or one of the first to lay my hands on this product and claim it as my bride for the weekend. I do not want to listen to any streams or read any commentary from someone who's claimbed my precious price before I have. I guess I'm that self-obsessed that I want to be able to tell people yepp, I ordered it within the first 30 seconds of release. Not that it really matters at this point, because I'll be one with a hundred. That's only a small part of it though. I guess I like figuring things out (so I'm definitely not going to read any manuals). Watching people play takes that satisfaction away. The same goes when I unbox something on christmas. I want to figure out what it is myself, not have anyone else tell me. I guess it's me being possessive. Rant over, have a good night ya all. Rest assured I won't be coming around until I've finished the game.

Yeah some software downloads offer multiple places of download based on location, for faster speed and to lighten up the load. I'm more worried about the paypal shitstorm though ... rofl.@crashmaster um, learn your timezone mate. If the game is released at say 6 o'clock pasific, I don't know off my head but it should be at 3 AM here. You should be between 9 to 10 hours ahead of me. So regardless when it is released everyone regardless of location will be able to get it on saturday.

I'm thinking if a ... well ... a simple by today's standards game such as Entombed has plenty of replay value, this shouldn't be an issue. From what I heard of the combat it sounds more complex and balanced in terms of class choices than Entombed. Apparently there's a limit in creatures to fight though but we can always harass them to make expantion packs later

Hi.Been playing a lot of bk3 lately, but I'm currently stuck on 19.1, specifically at cords 212, 8 where there's a mini platform you have to get onto but I don't know how to get onto it. Using my hook I just keep falling down when I walk off it's edges. I've tried to place the hook so I would end up on the platform but it hasn't worked. Any help would be appreciated.

Hahahahaha I feel like I'm winning some sorta local Darwin award over here.Remember a while ago when I tried to connect but couldn't? Well guess what, I was running version 3.5!I was out and about on the new server for an hour or so today, got disconnected twice recently. At first I thought it was my own connection and that I accidentally knocked out my USB-device but nope it was still there and others confirmed they also got booted.My trackpad is  a pain in the ass though. This whole laptop is. So I'll get high tomorrow and connect my mouse. Which requires me to first connect an extention to give me more USB ports because an idiot designed my laptop. It's a nest of wires but I'll be kicking some ass tomorrow. I promise, it's time for me to adapt, go through the mental exercises I used to, to be alert and I'll be maybe not the top player but I swear I'll attain my status as best ever sniper again.

Let's develop a game without cheaters - or rather a game where the cheaters aren't a problem.I personally think we've been looking at cheating preventions in the wrong light. For me, it's never been about banning the offending user, but rather to put them in their own safe environment removed from the rest of us.For this, I'm going to take a game like Redspot as an example. Not actually Redspot, but a game in a similar fassion.Step 1: detecting the cheaters and others who would seak to disrupt gameplay.This can only be done by carefully observing players in the beginning and look at server statistics. We can write speedhack detections, and I saw a game once used double values to varify. Basically, as soon as you modified one value it would compare it to it's counterpart and if they didn't match it would know it was modified by an outside source and would adjust itself back to match the original using the second counterpart. For example var hp1=20 var hp2=20 and if at any cycle of the loop the first or second variable were changed it would just correct to match the other counterpart. So if hp1 was changed to 15, hp2 would still be 20 and in the next cycle of the game loop the  game would see this and set hp1==hp2.We can also write sanity checks of every proportion; anti-spam code for the chat, etc, etc.Step 2: flagging the cheaterThis is the same issue where a lot of games that use the simple banning system also has the same problem. I have a more advanced idea in mind but let's save it for later.You can retrieve computer ID, location, you can have the game place hidden information in the registry, hidden under some obscure name like telecom driver rutines to fool people who seak to modify the registry values.Once you can varify from the client itself that the user is in fact cheating, the fun begins.Step 3: we don't want to punish the innocent now do weIf someone is clearly cheating, enough alarms will come up for the server ... let's saySpeedhack detected 5 seconds after login, then 10 minutes later, then the game detects chat spam 30 minutes into the gameplay.This user is most likely not looking to disrupt the fun for others and is most likely a victim of false positives. Reset and move on to monitoring.Now, consider the second example.User logs in, speedhack detected continuously for the first 2 minutes of gameplay. Sanity check shows the user moved 300 tiles in 2 seconds. User is standing inside a wall.Repeated spam over chat channel, disconnecting and connecting repeatedly.Both cases are clearly malicious.User is flagged secretly as cheater.Here is where we can divert and either choose some extreme methods of trolling right away or punish the user lightly based on what the user did.Step 4: taking actionConsider a couple of the following examples.User has been flagged for spamming and logging on and off.Throw the user onto a dummy chat channel with stupid AI.Spam the user with private communications from AI. Tell the rest of the server that they can spam the user.Disable all possible ways of retaliation by disabling all forms of communications, already done so by moving the user to a different channel but also disable his or her private means of communication.If the user logs off the user will be rejected to join the server for a set amount of time.User has received exessive speedhack detections.Meh for this one, as it takes up server resources. Just put the user on a map with others with the same flag, while slowing down the clock to compensate client side.For example if the client normally allows one to fire a certain weapon with a 150 ms interval, then after the speedhack the same check applies but it's with a 500 ms interval instead.User changes values like shields, hp and other things.Enter a mode where the users values are randomly switched around over time, usually in a negative way.Randomly teleport the user around the map.The idea is to give back what the inconvenient player is trying to give others. Instead of out right banning him or her the aim is to humiliate the cheater and associate his or her actions with something negative and unpleasant.Step 5: moderator rolesDo I even have to tell you to get trustworthy admins? Admin duty isn't a luxury, it's a responsibility. No one should ever want to be an admin, and if anyone feels that the game needs admins it's quite sad.After picking well-recognized, trusted faces to represent most parts of the publics, and to cover any possible time, time to implement your admin staff.The admin staff will never have the power to ban someone directly.They can however lift the various cheater flags due to a restricted command flagged users will get access to to send in appeals to the administration and explain their situation, and if the two parties can reach an understanding and the situation be explained, the admin can return the user to normal.For most situations this shouldn't be a problem.

@Muhammad Hajjar I disagree, a good game with speedrunning possibilities can prolong the life of the game for quite some time as extreme speedrunners try to compete with one another for who can complete it the fastest.Not that I think speedrunning is a major thing here in the blind community, no one shouldn't really focus on it.@Joseph could you see yourself maintaining development after the game is released? Other than bugfixes and so, like a post-game or continued story or something.

@Trajectory wrong. Mainstream games for the most part are actually aware of speedrunning and if their game can allow that they modify it in return. It is common practice regardless of speedrun or not to leave little exploits around for the user to find out.

Aprone I haven't tested Swamp before but I experienced the same thing with rotation on rtr however the other bugs seem strange. Maybe it's the device I had to use in order to have my internet and mouse at the same time but I tried running swamp without it and there were still a set of issues. Then again this computer is riddled with such.Also I was banned years and years ago but not since the account system was put in place. I'm sure Aprone wouldn't be responding to me in such a friendly manner if I was still under the ban hammer.

I know back in my days admins would put a stop to my antics with a stearn warning. We see in this thred lots of rule breakages with hardly any intervention. Materia Magica is one of the most complex muds I've come across in my search for entertaining muds. I'm definitely going to check this out at some point though right now I'm stuck with a hellmoo spree that's lasted for several months. In fact I'm going to do a demo at some point to draw people to it and show that it's far more than sex and drugs.But back to MM, the boss fights are ... so fucking awesome, and one of my favourite parts about it. Also how the world is just one big piece is also something I like, the things make sense with each other unlike in a lot of  other places where you'll have several builders working on separate projects and while the individual areas are good there's no cohesiveness (yes, I'm looking at you, Alter Aeon)Materia Magica also has more user created info than anything else I've ever seen. I don't have the sources available on hand due to migrating from one machine to another, 
 but there're several user made websites that contains articles and lists.One of the most substancial ones have several tools like the obvious character builder, another one to keep track of when boats come and go to various places, keeping track of moons (since magic depends on this) and the wandering sidhe (the name of a tavern that moves location). It also has an extensive database of pretty much every item, npc and quest there is. So I'll come back in a bit and update you on what this site is, and would strongly advice using it if you're struggling with autoquests. Just search the database for the quest keyword, make sure the heading matches the quest ID too, and read the info. Not everything is accurate since things have changed, but 90 percent or more should be.Some things are also tracked live from the game itself, which is just insane.The quests does get a little harder at class 2, what with new areas and changing time limits. If I remember ri
 ght Lord Agrippa for class 1 is very forgiving with his time, and usually allows several hours gametime to go.It's a challenge but completely doable. Just not a big fan of how you literally have to do 10 quests to get what you want. The grinding system there is absolutely fucking horrifying, but it might be worth it to explore things I have not.So hellmoo, yeah ... it's the perfect balance between grinding, but it comes with it's own set of issues of which I will outline in my upcoming demonstration.

did anyone else pre-order this one? I know Mason has had a bit of trouble in the Community but what I'm seeing so far is good for being an alfa, or even early beta.The combat system needs to be completely changed though to more the style of what Stewie described earlier, although I also agree that guns make it unrealistic. Perhaps you start out with a glock and you have just a few clips.Also diffrent weapons are different effective against different stuff. Maybe a sword would be effective against say tigers and giants and whatever, while a hammer would be most effective against skeletons, and bullets / Arrows would be most effective against a harpy?Also the enemies AI needs to be reworked. But I'm sure this'll come.

hi.at 20 km from the Airport, I check the landing speed, and depending on the Aircraft and the speed at which I'm going (around 850 to 1000 for most bigger Crafts) I start slowing down at around 13 km from the Airport.Hope this helps.Of course, if  you're doing speeds of say 500 km per hour maybe only 8 km is enough.

I like some of your Aircraft sounds while others are crappy. For starters, your Caravan sound is awefully fucking broken. It has  an eloquence sound in it lol.I will Review  your sounds and put them up tomorrow.Could you also refrain and only post the sounds you modified?what  happened to this game? Where are the updates with new features for realism?

Connor has a guide in the articles room.To actually use the jet missile you need to be in a jet and hit alt right + m, yes silly, fucking, keystroke and I hope it gets changed in the update but there  you go.

TDV comes to mind as the best flight sim out there ... it even has awesome dynamic joystick support (I call eurofly's "support" static)there's also Zero Sight, which ... other than the Engine sounds ... can francly go fuck itself.

how did this game go from an insane amount of praise to this? I'd like to remind everyone, that while I agree with your ideas and have a buncha my own, keep in mind this game was first and foremost an Atlas with the flying added as an afterthought.
