We can't compare pages with word, because the pages is much better if we talk about accesibility. The format options are easy to find, easy to handle and in some situations, you can use shortcuts like in word. If you search for them on the Apple's support, you will find most things. I am sure that noone from there will edit pictures or inserting them. Text edit is like notepad so There is a good alternative. If we discuss from a gamer perspective, mac is not for you. You can control the bass, volumes and it is very confortable. Before that headset, I bought 4 years ago another Razer headset and from what I can say, they can serv you for a long time without problems. I changed them cause it breaks the plastic, but not cable problems. The tournament edition has aluminium in its construction so it should be better than first plastic headset. On the manufacturer website it seems that they are 100 dollars, but I find on Amazon at 79 dollars.
