Anyone have tips on making custom maps for a Dungeons and Dragons game

Hello! So I am an avid D player and have been for years. I recently started writing up my own fantasy setting and was trying to figure out ways to build a large scale map of the main continent. Any ideas?

Experiences with guide dogs

Hey all, I should be getting a guide dog through Fidelco in CT over the next year and I was wondering what experiences people have had with guide dogs. How strict are their rules supposed to be. I know that when the harness is on they have to be strictly work dogs, but as far as I know when they have their harness off they can just be a dog.

Re: A question to old Jaws users

Assuming your using windows you could just hit the windows key + either M or D to get to the desktop and then hit J and then enter.

Becoming a computer programmer

Any visually impaired coders, programmers, or computer science majors::: I'm looking to enter the field and I'm hoping to get some information on the challenges I might face. I was also wondering if there was any good reading material or programs I could use to experiment with. Thanks for any help you can give

Accessible Writing Works sites

Hey guys and gals,I've been looking for an accessible site for posting your own creative writing works and stuff. Something like Deviant Art or something. I heard of a site called Watt Pad, but there site was pretty awful in the accessibility department. Any suggestions?

Repeat songs with Youtube!

Repeat songs with Youtube!

So I was pretty excited to figure this out so I'm assuming someone will find this as useful as I did. So all you do is find the video you want to repeat on Youtube. Then,  hit Alt D to access the address bar. Without erasing anything go to where it says Youtube in the "Youtube.com" area. Erase youtube and replace it with "listen on repeat". Obviously just one word. It's that simple and it's my new favorite thing.

Blind friendly Bibliography?

Hey all,So as I am a college student, I'm sure you were or are currently aware of how cuper fun and entirely useless the Learning Accomadations department can be, I find myself writing papers all the damn time. So, my question is; are there any bibliography calculators  out there that are accessible. I heard of NoodleTools, but I have no idea how useful that particular tool is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Blind friendly Bibliography?

Lol no worries. So I thought I understood what a bibliography was, but apparently the cited sources require formatting and stuff. I was confused by how they explained it myself. Apparently a "bibliography calculator"  lets you enter the relevant info and then it formats it for you. Also I meant super fun not kuper fun haha. I also enjoy writing papers. That comment was mostly my attempt to be funny. I am a literary, specifically creative writing, and psychology major with a minor in philosophy.

Nook or Kindle? Or any better ideas?

Nook or Kindle? Or any better ideas?

So my wife got me a Nook for my birthday as I am an avid reader, but she doesnt know technology very well. So far Im having a few issues with the accessibility with it; lagging text to speech, unlabeled buttons, and other typical Android OS stuff. Because of this we were talking about returning it and possibly getting a Kindle. I was wondering if any of my EReadering friends on here had better suggestions for a device. Im not sure if I should just get a Kindle or keep the Nook. I dont think Apple makes a device like that unfortunately. Thanks very much!

Thank you both for the input. Could you give a bit more on the Kindle Fire HDX? Ive heard it is a good device. The Nook is just nearly impossible to navigate.
