I've never had success using those fades. What you'll want to do is turn on volume automation with the keystroke control alt V and then navigate those using the automation keys. Draw in your points, and do fade in/out by picking the DB you want things to fade

You have to do it one by one, I'm afraid. No other way to download unless you just transfer from one device to another and then import them into audible's manager on PC. But yeah there's only the downloading every idividual book way to DL.

I have a 2i2 and yeah it's acceible. Just has buttons and knobs. I'll say you do have to switch to it's Asio driver to latency to not be an issue in your DAW so be aware of that, but it's great quality.

You also may have Ripple mode on - which if you have ripple all on, it'll cut across every track. Use Alt P to toggle through ripple editing modes, and make sure it's on Ripple Off so you're only effecting one track.

I tried suing Sonar forever ago and could never get the hang of it. Reaper is fantastic, and all of the things you want to do in it can be done, so I highly suggest taking the dive and learning it with the resources linked above.

For me it saves the project in the right directory but the actual files involved in the project are saving in Reaper media still. I've re-directed everything to different folders, so not sure why it's still saving my .wav files in reaper media

Yeah activate sereo mix on your computer and it will record straight form audacity. Just go into your recording preference and activate it, not sure the exact steps but you can google it and see hwo it's done.

Reaper is the best for editing midi and you can download software synths to use in it. Keep in mind it doesn't have any built in VSTs and you'll have to get them, but if you already have a midi contorller it's really easy to pick up and use.
