Re: forsage, an ethereum smart contract

I do agree, that we should make some sort of rules for this. Mind you, I am not an expert on the topic, but I do know, that many of these trings apparently requires or encourages recruiting other people, and I'd really prefer keeping the off topic room clean of these. I don't like making sweeping statements about our whole comunity, but I have seen a tendensy of people in less comfortable financial situations, nothing wrong with that of course, but I would imagine, that it would be very tempting to post referals and so on, which of course would be logical. I would, however, like the flooding of these topics, not, to happen.

I don't understand the point of "Well, I am not using it in a bad way". That would be like me saying, "Let me show you how to break into a car and steal it. Now if you want to, you can take any car, but personally i only use it to take cars when I really, really have no other option." See it makes no damn sense, I would still be showing people how to do something wrong.I just don't understand why it is so hard just sending a damn mail or pm or whatever, it's only a few clicks more, and we never have to have this discussion again. Just do it..

Re: Making an accessible collectible card game

Well'' I play Magic The Gathering now and then using brailled card sleeves. I know people could probably recognize the type of card that is on top of my library, but I keep my library in the box I keep my deck in. This way, it keeps them from falling all over due to the added hight and stuff, and people have to look over the small edge between the top of the box and the top card. I also don't touch the top card when I am not drawing, to reassure people, that I am not cheating. As for wearing out, not really a problem. I mean, sure, they get a bit worn out after a while, but if it is sleeves with a decent quality, it shouldn't be a problem. As for space on the card, I just write the name of the card, what type it is, with a selfmade code, and then mana cost also with code. And then power and toughness if it is a creature. Then I use an online database called Scryfall to look up abilities. One thing you have to be aware of, is to always buy the same sleeves. With brailled sleeves, you can't just put them in a different sleeve if you want cards in different decks, so all your cards must be the same colour and sleeve type.My methode has worked great for me, but I understand it wouldn't be good in all cases. I only play with friends or if not, then in cassual and relaxed environments, so people usually don't take it super seriously and mostly just want to play some fun games. Therefore I trust them not to take too much advantage, and they trust me to do the same. It would however, be a rather bad idea to show up in competitions with brailled sleeves, I don't even think it is allowed even though you can't see your braille markings yourself.

Re: Please advise me on my situation.

@DarkI verry much see where you are coming from, however I must disagree.I am only speaking from experience. All 3 times I've used this within the last couple of years, people have later told me, that they were glad that I did it. The trick is, to keep it simple cassual and down to earth, exactly to avoid the problem of isolating yourself. Also focusing a lot more on similarities, for example telling people, that you, as many sighted people do, work out, play computer games etc. This way, you loosen up an otherwise awkward situation where your fellow students don't know if they can ask you questions and about what. I have also had some luck, showing my fellow students NVDA and my braille display, to again make them understand, that while I might be doing things a bit different, I am still able to follow along in class and so on.In my experience, not telling people is the worst thing you can do, and I've actually tried it. I began at a new school, and only a handful of people knew that I was blind. Not many people talked to me that day, simply because they didn't know. I was the weird guy, that didn't make eye contact, and for the most part sad alone or was with an adult. As soon as I introduced myself, explained a little bit about my situation, and told them, that it really wasn't that dangerous to talk to me, people began talking to me and it amazed me how naturally they went about it.People are not assholes, but they might be uninformed, misinformed or simply scared to do anything wrong, and that is why I as well as many of m friends prefer to present ourselves to new people in this way.

Also, be open about your blindness. I have gone through a couple of school or class changes during the last couple of years, and one thing that has worked every time is to ask the teachers for half an hour of the first day. Then just stand up and tell them a bit about your life. Emphasize, that you are a teenager like everyone else, but you have a vissual imparement. Make sure that they know, that you are open to answer their questions, and maybe speak about what you might need help for. It really worked wonders, and show the others, that you are a person that can speak for yourself.

I am really into symphonic metal, and have been since I discovered Nightwish in december 2017. From then on, Nightwish quickly became my favorite band, but I have branched out to Within Temptation, Epica, and lately Beyond The Black, which is an underated band in my opinion.I have noticed, that when times are tough for me, I have a tendency to expand my music taste to include something heavier or more operatic, but when things return to normal, I usually return to my main bands, keeping a couple of heavy or operatic songs but slowly forgetting the rest until I need them again.I must say, that it helped me through some less fortunate times, and I really feel that symphonic metal has something for every mood and every situation.

Re: Let's talk Goalball

I have played goalball since I was 7 i think, which would make it 10 years total. I play both for the Danish youth team, as well as the mens national team here in Denmark. I will be attending A EM next week actually, and I am pretty hyped, even though I know and accept that I am far from making it to the starter trio.I have seen my share of broken goalballs, and I think that it mostly has to do with the rubber of the ball getting old and less flexible. I have seen some hard throws that didn't even leave a mark on the ball, while a rather weak throw with an old ball can break it. There probabbly are other factors as well. And oh yeah, I usually play center, since my defence is quite good and my offence not so much.

And, the fact that millions of people believe it, and those millions of people say that they are more moral because they do, doesn’t make it true. And it deffinetly should not be taught in school.
