Re: My Harry Potter fan fiction folder.

Hello again,If there is no pictures in the book epub is smaller than txt. I personally convert epub books to txt using a free windows program called Balabolka and read it. You only need to hit application key on an epub book and in the Balabolka menu choose open and then press ctrl + s and choose save button. It'll create the txt file next to the epub file as default, but you can change the saving location as well.Cheers.

Re: My Harry Potter fan fiction folder.

Hello,Thank you for sharing this, I'll download it for sure. What is the format of these fanfictions? I have a small folder of my own, but probably all of my fanfictions are included in your folder. I only get fanfictions from fanfiction.net and I've been very picky about which fanfictions I choose to download as epub files, including some great works like The Lie I Lived, Bundle in the Jungle and Turn me Lose, Harry Potter and The Elemental's Power, Oh God not again! and A Black Comedy. I use http://ficsave.xyz/ to download them.Cheers!

Re: Is there a way to read to subtitle provided by NAPI Project in NVDA?

Re: Is there a way to read to subtitle provided by NAPI Project in NVDA?

Hmm, It seems that you need to discover what kind of structure the file has and change it format to fit it. Then you can use my program, Ravi Player or aprone's Wave Machine to read it using NVDA. I am only familiar with the structure of .srt files. they are structured like this:100:01:29,255 --> 00:01:30,339Hey!200:01:35,678 --> 00:01:38,847All the birds of a feather...If the subtitles you have are like this, change the format to .srt and use one of the mentioned programs. Ravi Player supports .sub, .vtt, .ssa, and .ttml as well, but I don't know about how they are structured. Hope it help.

Ravi Player, a Windows Media Player based subtitle reader

2016-12-22 Thread AudioGames . net ForumOff-topic room : MeisamAmini21 via Audiogames-reflector

Ravi Player, a Windows Media Player based subtitle reader

Hi everyone.I know that Wave Machine already reads subtitles using screen reader, but I had some problem with it and decided to make one myself. It's both similar to and different from Wave Machine. In Ravi Player, you do not need to convert your video file to audio. It can play whatever Windows Media Player can, video or audio. The user interface is like Windows Media Player only with a few keystrokes added. If you have a subtitle with the same name of the media file in .srt, .sub, .ssa, .ttml, or .vtt format in the same folder, the program loads it alongside the media file and reads the subtitle automatically as the media is playing. Screen reader is chosen automatically and you can choose the output to be voice, braille, both or none. It has a Subtitle Review Buffer and shifting capability. Finally, it can get the file path as a command line arguemtn, so you can set it as the default program for playing any format you prefer. To use it, you need .Net framework 4.5 or higher and Windows Media Player 9 or higher. Readme file can tell you more about it. I'll be really greatful of any feedback, especially about the look of the program, I'm not sure if it plays the video full screen or not. I'm a very amateur programmer, so probably it is full of bugs. You can download it here:http://meisamamini21.dl1.rapidpars.com/ … 0Setup.exe

Re: Question for computer programmers

Hello,I'm not a professional programmer, but I quote a piece of text from a book I'm reading called "Think Java" that you can read free here: http://greenteapress.com/thinkjava6/html/index.html. According to this, debugging is pretty much a part of programming. Maybe you can open a notepad window and write your hypothesis about how to solve a problem, and if it worked, write the answer as well, if not, try another. It's just a suggestion, as I said, I'm not a pro. And here goes the quoted text from chapter one, hope it'll help even a little:Debugging is like an experimental science: once you have an idea about what is going wrong, you modify your program and try again. If your hypothesis was correct, then you can predict the result of the modification, and you take a step closer to a working program. If your hypothesis was wrong, you have to come up with a new one. Programming and debugging should go hand in hand. Don’t just write a bunch of code and then perform trial and error debugging until it all works. Instead, start with a program that does something and make small modifications, debugging them as you go, until the program does what you want. That way you will always have a working program, and it will be easier to isolate errors.
