Re: Listening to other people talk Hi guys, this really cracks me up and I can really relate to you Aprone working in a warehouse type environment as I do it 40 hours a week.I'm sure this isn't warehouse workers alone, but they seem to be the most vociferous, the most talkative people with the least amount to say of any real value. And that's putting it politely! So I've found the best way to combat this is to put my noise cancelling headphones on and do my best to tune most everyone out that's not in direct contact with me. It can be alienating, but that's ok to. I've tried the other way and its not healthy for me to deal with these people. A while back, I installed Star Trek Final Conflict on my pc, but for whatever reason, when I went to launch it, it never would fully load into memory or something, I heard the Karen voice that Thomas chose to use for that game. But she said a few words, and it just froze. I had to use task manager to shut it down.I then rebooted my PC and tried again. The same thing happened. So when I went to remove it from programs and features... why didn't they just leave it as add or remove programs?..?..? rofl Anyway, the final conflict is like grayed out, and unavailable. So I can't get rid of the damn thing. And every once in a while a strange program, or something shows up in my window list, the list when you press insert er, jaws key plus F10?Well in there, I have something listed as, OverlayWindow 0 on top. I tab twice to switch to that active window, and hit alt F4 on it to close it. If I don't do that, my computer will begin to act wacky when I start opening a number of programs/aps or games after a while.If anyone can help me get rid of this super annoying pest, I'd be in your debt. I cycled from MS anna to three slightly different versions of ESpeak, and the last choice was silence.I didn't hear any Sapi speech or speech of any kind. in fact, I had to go an uninstall Sapi5_MikeAndMary.msi before I was able to get MS Anna to pop back up and give me something for Sapi as I couldn't even figure out how to shut down the Kitchen's game menu. lolSo... any other suggestions for a decent sapi 5 voice to use with Windows 7? Since now you're lucky if you find the kind of audio gear you need, and most of the people who work there these days haven't a clue if you describe to them in detail to them what you're looking for. Gone also are the knowledgeable and helpful staff that Radio Shack used to employ.All they apparently know, and are seemingly programmed to do is push you to buy their cellphones or services in one form or another. Help with linking my dropbox desktop app Hi all,Ive been having a heck of a time with Dropbox getting stuck syncing files, and Ive pretty well ruled out it being AVG, as Ive had the same experience while AVG was disabled.So, reading through the help center info on the DB site, I see that unlinking my desktop app could solve the issue, and with the lesser amount of troubles.So once Im in the security settings of my account on the site, I see I have two devices (as they call them) linked to my account. I think its best to unlink them both as one might be causing the problem.The one was for an older xp machine I hardly use, and dont think thats a big deal to unlink that. Im currently running a win 7 [64] bit PC.So, now that Ive completely unlinked my DB app from my account, Im unable to take the next step and relink it.Im unable to get into my db preferences, when Ai try and right-click the icon in the system tray, the tipicle m enu that pops up isnt showing up. lol Its more then a little frustrating.If anyone wants to take a look at the linking and unlinking page from the DB site, the link followes.https://www.dropbox.com/help/25Thanks for any help, Im really not sure what I should, or could do next. I and a couple of friends are using the G930 wireless headphones from logitech, and they rock!Great sound, and unless youre house is huge, meaning 5000 square feet and more, youll be able to go most everywhere and still hear the audio clearly with the same great sound. Simple salution to that last poster, stop using Windows media player, unless youre strictly using WMA files.I still use the last version of Winamp on windows 7, and it works perfectly. Thats strange I didnt have to do that.for a while I wasnt able to play an audio game like swamp because certain settings were checked and I needed to uncheck them in the G930 audio properties from the control pannel.For example, once I unchecked the rear speakers box, I was able to hear zombies moving around in a full stereo field.
