Why do people try to act like the better person and try to stop a flamewar. People don't understand that just having a simple conversation calls for a drama cry. If we're talking about how horrible a game is or how horrible an admin on a game is, they instantly call for drama. Its annoying. Everyone's allowed to express their thoughts. Whether you want to accept it or not, people will argue, people will get angry, and yes, drama will start. Its just a part of us, a part of people. I've noticed that when people try to have a peaceful conversation or group on the internet they end up arguing the most because their buttons are just so touchy. They get upset at the most harmless of comments. Thinks like: "If you don't unban me, I wil kill myself" and "Sam Tupy needs to go have sex with Aaron Baker", etc. She has also delted my account on her forum, and in the rules she wrote she clearly said that she wasn't having admins remove accounts if they have personal problems with said individuals. Also, they did not just do that, the projects folder was about 850 mb and now it is only about 24 kb. A serious situation Hi everyone. So...it looks as though i have been hacked by one of our respected developers. It all started with me waking up yesterday and seeing a BGT runtime error in my list of windows. I then checked and it was something about a function called screw. I don't normally write functions like that, so it couldn't have been something I coded and forgot about. Also, when checking, a directory called "code" was open, and the TK folder was also open. After a few minutes,I checked to see what happened with the computer, when I was about to place a FaceTime call. I was sitting a few feet away from the computer, however my headphones were still connected. Of course, I turned off my computer for a good while. I soon forgot all about it, untile earlier. I went into my projects folder of my external hard drive to realize that my entire code was turned to hex. I have no second guess in this person is Sam Tupy. He likes to hide viruses that he codes or he collects and runs them after windows process such as SVCHost or DLLHost. I soon checked my computer to discover that everything in my hd was encrypted. I might also want to ad that I have not ran any file from Sam besides his publicly released games, which is why I'm posting here. There is no way he could have gotten in to my computer unless he used something in one of his games to do soemthing. I am no way starting to start a flame war, just letting users what's this developer up to and to be careful when running any of his games. I was just posting on this forum, and many of you know this already, but I want to spread the word, and get your appinion on the matter.NVDA remote, if you use it, is very unsecure!Lets say you ran a business, and you had a computer in your office.You then setup a connection to NVDA remote and leave work.However, someone who works with you told you about a program that was (required) for your business, and ran it. Ok, great, you ran it, it did what you wanted it to do, and you leave work.Well, that person knows you left your work, and boom!I actually did a recording if it comes to it, of me getting someoen's key, but it was only to prove my point.I didn't do any harm or anything like that, I just wanted to prove my point and had the person change there key.anyway, NVDA remote stores your key in a plain text file, with no encryption.When asking the developers of the security, they simply said, well, you run som ething your falt.Not really. As someone stated on twitter, the consumer is only responsable for using the program, in this case, NVDA remote and reporting any bugs.It is not their responsibility of a consumer of this service to run sniffers every time they run a file. The developer of remote, and as well Chicken Nugget, just said, o yeah. I'll just fix it to shut you guys up, stating that he doesn't care of his consumers.What do you all think on the matter? Re: Some bad and unfortunate news well, you could code something like a password manager. How you might ask?Simple, make a bgt script that you open, and it requires a password to unlock. You then are taken in to a menu, and you can hit enter on a password, and closes.However, after doing this, I would recommend you remove its source code, unless you want to store the password in your appdata or a dat file that's encrypted. You unlike most people, did not use all the same passwords, and they were pretty strong.Your main problem was that you stored all of your passwords in a text file, there for it would have just been asking to get hacked.The fact that Someone could of done this attack, the fact that it was all because of remote and a bgt script, will bring me to my next point.Users of NVDA remote, be very careful.
