When I reinstall windows or if I get a new computer I go to www.ninite.com and download winamp, 7 zip, google drive, nvda, acrobat reader and chrome. After that I start reinstalling the software when I need them. Usually I continue by installing office because I mainly work with that.

I have no idea about the tax thing, as far as I know you have to send it only if you are living in the US. I still do occasional jobs on there sometimes and I find it accessible and easy once you get the hang of it. Just follow their guide carefully and everything will be okay. Imo it's much more accessible than transcribe me. I couldn't even finish the test transcript there so I gave up.When working with castingwords it is best to transcribe in word or in another service and paste the contents into the website's editor, it will save you some trouble with the many buttons and options their mini-player provides. You can also download the required file dirrectly to your pc which is a welcome addition. The files you need to transcribe are short, 5 minutes at max and it's easy for a beginner to get the hang of it.

2020-07-15 Thread AudioGames . net ForumOff-topic room : mastodont via Audiogames-reflector

Re: blindness and identity

My opinion is that the sighted people rely so much on visual information that they must have an immage of themselves in their mind in order to have identity. This fact isn't entirely necessary, in fact, as a blind person I have no immage of myself and I don't need one. It's hard to need something that your mind doesn't know it really exists or not. For born blind people immage is just an abstract thing, just as is ecolocation for most of the sighted. Surely I can make my own guesses about what sight is but I'm sure they are so inaccurate that it wouldn't even be worth mentioning. The problem is that senses don't need words to describe because they are innate to us and everyone perceives them. You can't describe a banana to someone who haven't tasted it, the same applies to sight.Regarding identity, I believe the most important sense in this matter is proprioception. This sense tells you where your arm is, where your legs are and in which way they are moving without looking or touching them. It allows you to feel all your body-parts and to be sure that they are yours. In the end, I don't need to identify with any immage, it's enough that I exist, that's sufficient proof for me.

Re: I'm leaving, for now.

I am quite an old member of this forum but this trend of "I am leaving" topics seems to have emerged not too long ago. I've seen many people leave in the past two years and imo they leave because the community is becomming more toxic and immature as the time passes. The fact that rules are stricter and stricter doesn't help at all, it just encourages people to find other ways of avoiding them in order to seem cool.I might be old school but I see the forum as a place to talk about common interests, a place where I can help and be helped by others and a place where I feel free to talk about my gaming hobby. My life isn't a part of this forum and the forum doesn't take a big part of my time. If I'll be leaving one day probably nobody would know it or even care, and it's completely fine on my part. The ones who want to find me already know how and the ones who don't, well, let's say they don't need to find me.The problem with these topics is that they make you to come back not leave because instead of leaving the original posters come back to check the replies and people's reactions to their leaving. I see it more as a mean of asking for attention and compassion than really wanting to leave.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

It's not just America, it's all over the world. Even in a small country like Romania conspiracy theories seem to be gaining ground quickly and more and more people start rebelling against the rules. Yesterday and today we registered the highest number of cases in 24 hours and authorities say this is the second peak, a peak that has already surpassed the first in terms of cases registered daily. And all of this happens because many people confused less restrictions with no restrictions and went to the beaches, organised huge parties and did everything just as before, without taking the most elementary precautions.I fear that we will all be infected one day if a vaccine isn't developed quickly, however the most important thing is to limit the spread to as few as possible because I don't think we can stop it completely. Masks are a great help regarding this. Of course they are not 100% effective but even 1% is better than nothing and could make a difference for millions. Just immagine that 3% of the world population would die, that's an insanely high number and noone even wants to think about taking responsibility for it so this is why we must try to limit the spread as much as possible until a vaccine is developed. What I noticed about conspiracy theorists though is that they are good at criticising the actual measures but fail spectacularly when asked about what measures should be implemented. They think about people just as numbers and herd immunity is their excuse for millions of deaths. I think it was Sven Hassel that said in one of his books that a few deaths can be a tragedy for the world but when the numbers are high it's just a statistic and everyone treats it as such.

Re: Monthly Chat July 2020!

Haven't posted in one of those for a while but well, let's see what comes out.I was pretty bussy the last month, me and my wife had to move all of our stuff to my parent's home since it's going to be easier for us to learn how to take care of a child if we have someone living with us. Since we were staying in a rented appartment and the rent was pretty high the best option was to move out of there for good. Next week my lady will have a caesarean, let's hope everything goes to plan. If it does, I will have a baby girl, I can't tell you how happy and relieved I am that this will be finally over. Pregnancy was not a fun part neither for my lady nor for me since she felt sick most days, her legs were swelling so I had to do all the work in the house not that I mind but it was a lot to do and I feel exhausted. On a sad note, the hospital staff wont let me join her for the intervention because coronavirus precaution so I will be home sleeping as much as I can since I feel it's going to be the last time in a while. Believe me, everyone I asked told me horrific stories since their child was under 1 years old. Waking up every one or two hours, regular nap changes, etc, I can't wait to not sleep for almost an year On another note, covid19 cases seem to be rising here in Romania, some of the restriction measures are on hold for a while. The hospitals are filling to the capacity again and I fear we are aproaching a second wave due to the stupid people running to the beaches in tens of thousands and forgetting about the most elementary precautions, and people that think that if you can move freely you don't need to practice social distancing and wear a mask in public places anymore.

Concerning your first question I can tell you that narrator works even if the windows is not booted. I've just had to reinstall windows because it wasn't booting propperly. I was able to try to repair it, to access the recovery environment and system restore by using narrator. Unfortunately none of these options actually repaired it so I had to reinstall from an usb stick. The only inaccessible part was selecting the drive to boot from but I got past that with the aid of seeing AI and some guess work.

Re: Recomendations and helpful advice for a beginner in vaping.

As a beginner I think your best bet would be an all in one kit. It comes with everything you need to start vaping, the only thing missing being the liquid. Personally, I use an ego AIO anniversary edition. It has an 1500 MAH battery, 2 ml capacity and it's very easy to fill and set-up. You just unscrew the cap, fill the tank and screw the coil on to the end of the cap and screw it back on the actual tank. There is only one button, if you hold it and drag. It is pretty powerfull and it gives a good flavour imo and it's not that expensive here in Romania. I was a heavy smoker before switching to an electronic cigarette and I am smoking now the highest nicotine e-liquid I could find, some 18%.. I know you are romanian so I recommend checking this store, www.ivape.roit has the cheapest products in my opinion, far cheaper than in other major romanian stores.I had a beast of a cigar, I think it was called captain jack or something, it went up to 80 wats and had a battery of 3000 MAH and supported coils up to 3 ohms. I found out though that I don't need that much watage and power because it gets hot pretty quickly and you can burn your tongue pretty badly. More power means that you get vapours much faster and you need to hold the button for less time. Personally, I find a steady stream of vapours much more enjoyable than a rapid burst. Also, I suggest you look into MTL and DL vaping and see which would be more suitable for you, it's a pretty important thing to considder when buying your e-cig. The one I suggested can be used for both, if you use a 0.6 ohm coil you can do DL vaping aswell as MTL, it's somewhere in between. You can also get 1 or 1.5 ohm coils for it which are more suitable for MTL vaping.

@Connor I completely agree with you, braille is a necessary thing to learn for every blind individual, especially the children. Learning how to write and read by using braille or any alphabet structures the mind in a way as to facilitate future knowledge. It's like the building blocks of something much bigger. I know such a person, she never learned to write and read because her parents weren't able or willing to send her to school. She knows to read and write on a PC but this doesn't even compare with learning an alphabet because, if you learn just typing on a keyboard and reading by using a voice, your spelling is practically inexistent and your grammar tends to be very poor making you in essence an illiterate person. In today's world, it's very difficult to function as an iliterate person because you wont be able to access many opportunities and facilities.

I was too tired of the constant bitching about when the next dissability check will come and why isn't this "put here what you want" free for us because we are blind and we need it.I guess my feelings come from the fact that when I was in school, anything written in braille was like a treasure for us because it was very rare. I still have the novel I received as a token of appreciation from my teachers when I finished secondary school and it was the most amazing thing that could happen to me, I couldn't believe that I could have this book for myself to read whenever I please.@3 I don't have a problem with it, it just strikes me that this person doesn't do this for the first time and probably not the last. This person could do much more usefull things than destroying it, he or she could donate it for example. I just think that anyone who doesn't respect and appreciate the work someone has done for their benefit and decides to destroy it should be called entitled.Perhaps you got used to everything being served on a plate whenever you demand but for some people there's hard work involved in order to obtain braille materials if they are even available. Even the thought that this person might destroy a book makes me cringe. If you have grown so used to what you have that you can't appreciate these things maybe you are the one entitled.

2020-05-29 Thread AudioGames . net ForumOff-topic room : mastodont via Audiogames-reflector

When I thought the blind community can't surprise me anymore

After going through a blind school and having some blind friends for about 15 years now I thought the blind can not surprise me anymore. I am blind myself but I have never displayed odd behaviour, but I have seen others do and I come to accept it as something blindness related. I've seen people rocking, talking like synthesizers, poking their eyes... I can say I have witnessed every blindism you can think of during my stay at a school for the blind. But no, it seems fate had something in reserve: https://www.blindbargains.com/classifie … wPLOPYpqC8Apparently this person has some weird hobby or pleasure in touching braille paper after the braille was erased from it, this person is even willing to pay for this. Why would someone find pleasure in ruining someone's work? Is braille so easy to come by that you can afford to produce a braille magazine only to be erased by someone? This further strengthens my opinion that the majority of the blind community feel entitled to what they have and don't even think how much effort and work goes behind the scenes. I feel enraged by this because I know how hard it is to get braille materials? When I was in school we were studying from books that looked as old as my grand-pa because there was only one printer available in the region and there wasn't enough school related materials printed forget about books or magazines. I managed to read the whole school library in about two or three years and it had accumulated books for almost 100 years. What is even more ridiculous is that I think the person is willing to pay more for the book to be erased than it's price. I could be wrong about this since I don't know how much braille magazines cost in America. They might even be distributed for being a member of the national federation for the blind just as in my country. What is your opinion on this? what other weird blindisms have you witnessed?

I don't regret this because I got into a good referal network and I am earning some spill over from them, I got my money back plus some to spend.Freelancing, jobs, I am tired of all this crap, of all the rejection and discrimination I face on a daily basis and I can't do anything about it. I spent 5 years of my life studying in an university and now I can't get a bloody job because I am blind. Where I live people have no idea what accessibility is or what a screen reader means. For the sighted, the blind are good only to do massages and that's where they should stay.About freelancing jobs, most of them aren't available world wide, and the sites I have visited have various degrees of accessibility but they are average at best. I tried with freelancer.com but their site is inaccessible. Upwork, odesk, all the same inaccessible crap. If you don't have a good photo on there noone will even think of hiring you assumming you manage to quote for a job, which seems to be the most inaccessible part on all those websites. And if you send an e-mail complaining about poor accessibility it goes right to their trash can because they don't give a damn about it.

Re: forsage, an ethereum smart contract

Keep in mind that this is in it's early stages, the platform was launched at the end of february and there are about 13 registered members. It is completely transparent and doesn't necessarily rely on a company to run. Even if the developer disappears it will go on. MLM is a legit way to make money, novadays everything resembles one. You buy from someone who bought from someoneelse at a lower price and soon.I think this has potential being in the early stages so that's why I decided to inform the community about it. Now, everyone can choose for him or herself if he is willing to join or not.@8 why do you think such posts should be banned? It is an opportunity for everyone and it's aimed at the average user that doesn't necessarily knows development or other advanced jobs. Taking into account the discrimination and rejection we face everyday when looking for jobs it doesn't surprise me that more and more people are looking for ways to earn some side cash without being employed or relying on a monthly payment by the government.

Re: forsage, an ethereum smart contract

yeah. in ethereum, the registration fee is 0.05 eth, about 11 bucks. Plus the gass, you get to roughly 15 bucks to start and you get a slot in each of the matrices. The hardest part is actually funding your wallet with some ethereum, you can use a dedicated site but you will have to be verified with them. Can't remember right now which one I used but they asked for a photo of my id. Seing AI did the trick nicely and I was veriffied and my wallet funded in about an hour.

forsage, an ethereum smart contract

2020-05-21 Thread AudioGames . net ForumOff-topic room : mastodont via Audiogames-reflector

forsage, an ethereum smart contract

What is forsage? On February 6, 2020, Forsage became the world's first-ever MLM / Network Marketing program to utilize a self-executing smart contract on the Ethereum Blockchain.Smart contracts are totally decentralized and are managed by a huge network of multiple members computers. As such, there is no central authority governing the operation of this program.Ethereum Blockchain Smart contracts cannot be modified, due to the Security and features that are built into the Blockchain. How does forsage work?Forsage matrix marketing can be thought of as similar to Network marketing, with a limited number of places and an unlimited number of reinvests. In the matrix, the referral link is fixed to the person who invited you. You always follow your refferer, to each of the slots that he or she has activated. There are two sub programs within Forsage:-Forsage x 3 and Forsage x4Forsage x3 has three places below you in one row.Forsage x4 has two rows below you, with 2 places in the first row and 4 places in the second row. When you join / register with FORSAGE, you open up both of these programs simultaneously.Note:There are no expiration dates for any places / slots to be occupied. There are unlimited automatic reinvests available.  What is a smart contract?A Smart Contract is an agreement between two people / parties in the form of computer code. This agreement can be for anything laid down at the beginning, such as buying and selling a house, or a piece of land, or a website domain name, or many, many other things, some yet to be thought of. These contracts run on the blockchain, so they are stored on a public database and cannot be changed. The transactions that happen in a smart contract are processed by the blockchain, which means they can be sent automatically without a third party, (ie without the interuption of a fallible human being).Smart Contracts use the simple principle of, "if you do this, then I will do that".Simply put, smart contracts work a lot like vending machines. For example, if you drop 2 dollars into the slot of a drinks machine, then make your selection, you will get a can of soda delivered to your hands. In the Digital world, if you just drop a required amount of a cryptocurrency into the smart contract, then your house, or whatever else drops into your account or ownership. All the rules and penalties are not only pre-defined by smart contracts, but are also enforced by them. What does all this mean for the participants in Forsage?Well instead of a house or other purchase, we are looking at an unchangeable structure for the Forsage Matrix platform and it's payment plan. This means guaranteed payments into our Cryptocurrency wallets, in return for our actions as laid out within the terms of the Smart Contract. The Forsage developers deployed this self-executing smart contract on the Ethereum Blockchain, that exists in perpetuity and cannot be modified by any entity. This gives indefinite access to the Forsage program and enables all its members continued participation in the matrix structure and uninterrupted commission payments between the program participants. What is the cost of getting started with forsage?A Smart Contract is an agreement between two people / parties in the form of computer code. Re: Does anyone on here (sighted or not) enjoy shooting?

here in europe, guns are hard to come by and you can't buy them if you don't have a permit. This being said, I tried two guns, my dad owned them, dunno where he got them from lol but it was awesome. It was a magnum .44 and a 12 gauge shotgun, I tried them in our back yard shooting at beer cans. My dad helped me aim and stood behind me while I shot. All I can say is that these guns make a lot of noise and pack a brutal punch. My dad ended up destroying the guns because one of our neighbor lied to us and asked for the 12 gauge to go hunting. My dad gave it to him and he tried to suicide. The lucky bastard might have kept it sideways or somehow because he ended up living but with the left part of his jaw gone. A lot of facial reconstruction was needed to repair him. People can still be stupid even if they are blind or not.

Re: tripping on truffles.

I have tried truffles a few times when I was in the netherlands and I quite liked them. The first experience was intense and I wasn't prepared for it but it taught me a valuable lesson: it's very important to have an open mindset and lay all fears aside. Even the tiniest bit of doubt and fear can be intensiffied a thousand times and you could feel like you are in hell. I will deffinitely try them again when I'll have the chance, the hallucinations were quite pleasant and interesting. I also experienced hallucinations with my echolocation sense, if you are born blind you might know what I'm talking about, a thing which hasn't happened with other drugs. I would advise anyone to think twice before doing them, and if you've done only alcohol in your life then prepare for an experience like nothing you've ever felt before. From my experiences I can say that no drug's effects can be described or explained since, in essence, they change your way of perceiving things and understanding the world. It's like trying to explain what sight is to someone born blind, you can try but it will never work.I know there are quite a few blind people who enjoy weed, I enjoy it too but when it comes to actually describing the feeling and why I enjoy it I can't put it into words, and I am sure the others feel the same.

Re: I need help with a money making program

There is such a program, it's called university. You have to invest some money though, and a few years of your life in order to get it working. Choose anything you like and start learning and then, apply what you've learned and make money. I am sorry to disappoint but the program you are looking for doesn't exist. In order to make cash you have to work for it, it's that simple. Anyone claiming otherwise is just trying to trick you. If there'd be such a program then we would all be billionnaires and money would have no value.

The only way to read the scanned immages is to OCR them. I would suggest Abbyy fine reader, it's the one I use regularly for my needs and it does a decent job. It's a paid program though so you'll have to purchase it. Keep in mind that, even if you manage to ocr the document and get the text out of the images you will get a documment full of errors, there might be parts where the text isn't recognized correctly, etc.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Hello.Romania is on lock down as of two days now. I too haven't taken the situation seriously untill I realised that I can't get out of my house without having a paper clearly stating my emergency. Yeah, we can't get out for walks, only necessities such as buying groceries and taking your pet for a walk in the proximity of your home are allowed. The streets are full of military vehicles and police filters. Yesterday I was stopped by the police I had prepared all the papers and everything was well though it was a bit unnerving to be screamed at through a megaphone to stop when you've been just to the grocery store which is 50 m away from the house. I am most concerned about my lady since she is pregnant so she is not leaving the house at all, I am the only one that goes for groceries and stuff and I make sure to wash my hands and wear a mask when in public, though we will have to see about that since I have only one mask left and I couldn't find any at the farmacies closest to my home.My lady is due to give birth in july and I really hope that this madness ends by then or I'll be extremely worried since hospitals are the best place to catch the virus. On a more amusing note, here in romania idiots started to rise theyr heads aswell, I heard a lot of funny stories over the news these past days. From old people in their seventies being filmed hiding in the bushes from the police to someone who found a way to get out of the house by claiming that he is taking his pet for a walk. His pet was a fish kept in a bag filled with water. Stay safe everyone.

Right now I have gone 2 days without even a single puff of the damned cigarette and counting. I feel the need for one but vaping seems to ease the feeling for a while. I might get into DL hitting later on, but right now I preffer to vapour liquids with higher contents of nicotine since that is what I smoked before. Specifically, I smoked the cigarettes with the highest nicotine content I could find on the market, they were about 14% I believe.Maybe I'll gradually decrease my nicotine intake in the future but for now I'm happy that I escaped smoking.

@22 If you really know what vaping is then I'm sure you can figure out what electricity does. It heats the liquid inside the tank vaporising some of it so when you inhale you feel the flavour and the effects of the substances used inside, e.g. nicotine or weed. These devices work by using a coil that triggers when you inhale or when you hold down a button and inhale releasing the vapours into your mouth and into your lungs.

I am considdering this option since the liquids containing nicotine I was able to find are expensive for their quantity and the largest was 10 ml. I want to save up on money by buying an 50 or 100 ml liquid along with one or two nicotine shots but I want to know if the diy process can be done by a blind person. I found some 50 ml at a very good price and they came with a nic shot. What do you recommend?

I actually had a nicotine buzz when vaping for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised by it lol. I find the hit to be stronger on the throat than cigarettes, a fact that I really like. If anyone want to quit smoking I really recommend vaping, it is really the way to go. I tried gums and patches before with no luck. Even when I used them the craving for a cigarette was there so imo they are useless.

Re: a call to all vapers

The device should arrive soon, let's see how this goes.I smoke weed too but only when I can afford it, which is just a few times per year. My suggestion is to get a bong, even a cheap one, you can find them for about 10 bucks. Get an acrylic one since it wont break that easily.Trust me you will know which end to light since the end you must drag on to has a little hole in it and it's generally thinner. Also, The joints I used to make before purchasing the bong had the end you have to lit twisted so stuff wont fall out of it. You just rip the excess paper off and lit. Rolling them is a different matter, you're bound to lose some of that stuff sometimes because the paper is small and the filter even smaller so you gotta be really carefull.Regarding telling people what to do, I believe, as you don't harm anyone, then you're free to have whatever addiction or habbit you desire. Patronizing people that vape or smoke wont get you anywhere, it will only make you look like a moralising mother. The best thing is to mind your business if the addiction in cause doesn't do you any harm. I got friends that do meth and other hard drugs and I never told them to quit because that's not my job, they know better what's best for them.

However, I don't think I can go cold turkey so I decided the best and cheapest option would be to buy an e-cig or a vape. Do any of you have any experience with those devices? I would like to ask some questions before buying one.Is it easy for a blind individual to maintain the device, e.g. change the reserve, the batteries etc?Can you please recommend me some good vaporizators that I can use and that have reserves that last for a while? I don't want to change it every day since that would mean spending the same money. How can you guess when the reserve is over and that you have to get a new one?I hope you guys can help since this habbit is putting a toll on my financial situation and I really need a way of relieving some of the pressure.

Re: Monthly chat December 2019

Hi. This month is the time of happiness indeed especially for me. The past few days I found out that my lady is pregnant, I've had to call my parents and tell them the good news and in general, I had to think a lot about what will happen next and how are we going to sort all these things out. Obviously, we want to get married before the child comes but it's going to be extremely difficult due to our unstable financial situation. Overall, I am extremely happy. This is going to be my first child and it's a time of wonders, a time of mixed feelings ripping me apart. The feeling that I'm going to be a father soon is exhilarating, It's like I want to laugh hysterically and cry at the same time. I can't imagine myself being a father but I'm slowly realizing it is really true, these past days were like a dream for me,. I hope everyone is doing as good as I am lol!

I've used addblock plus and it seems that they allow certain adds through their filters, my experience was not the best. I've read on the internet that some companies pay them to be added into the white list so the people using it can receive their adds. This kind of things doesn't happen with ublock origin.

I recomend Ublock origin for windows aswell, it has some nice features amongst which is blocking youtube adds. You can get rid of some social media frames like facebook aswell and the page will load much quicker.

The ones I was able to find were short and the quality of the sound was very poor, looks like fakes to me.

If you claim you've seen a friend of yours being posessed then please describe the experience in more details. Do you have a recording of it? Many people say they have a friend or know someone to have been exorcised so why hasn't anyone recorded an exorcism yet? Why isn't the church using recordings of demons and such to convince people that their belief is true? I guess it would be the best way to attract believers, it would be the absolute proof. Why don't they use recordings and films to reveal the truth about hell and make the believers reinforce their faith in God and be good and humble and to never commit sin again?

But the soul is connected to the body through a link that's why you can understand and remember the experience. The only time the soul will disconnect from the body is when you're dead. It's hard to describe but sometimes you can feel your soul and your body at the same time. I guess it's hard for someone who was raised in strict religious dogmas to understand and believe in such concepts though. The only place I've met satan is in people's hearts, Satan is a name given to the unknown, a name for our own wrong doing, Satan is ignorance and stupidity. Without ignorant and closed minded people there would be no satan because there would be noone to create it.

Re: astral projection can a blind person do it?

We can not see during the projection because our mind filters the experience. So, if your mind doesn't know how to see it wont see. For someone who had sight before going blind it will work, that person will be able to use sight during the experience.@67 I wouldn't advise you to try it then. There is nothing that can harm you during that experience but your mind can play some tricks on you, I.E. you could falsely believe that there is no way back and remain blocked for a while, or your mind might create some terrific things around you like monsters. You wont be harmed by them but the experience is so real that the mind doesn't know that and it will activate it's deffense mecanisms. I've had this happen when I was a beginner at this but I learned to control what I'm experiencing since then. But, it's a very unpleasant experience if the trip goes wrong and if you're easily affraid then it can harm your mental health.

Re: astral projection can a blind person do it?

If we are talking about astral projection being an actual travel to the stars while out of body then I agree with you. There is no evidence of such travels existing because it's just a mith to trick people into spending money. During my out of body experiences I have not meet any supernatural entities, nor have I visited the stars. The mind is very prone to ilusion during that state, in other words, you can control your surroundings with just a thought. It's not surprising that many people induced them selves a simmulation of travelling to the stars. For me it was impossible to induce such experience because, having no sight atall, I have no sensory experiences representing the stars, they're just an abstract concept.

Re: astral projection can a blind person do it?

Astral projection is not the term I preffer, it's a term used by merchants to sell their product, to make it more appealing. I preffer the term phase, since it is just another phase of awareness. There are people that can voluntarily induce out of body experiences, however this is extremely difficult for an occasional phaser because it involves lots of effort. There has been a study in 2014 involving a healthy woman being able to have out of body experiences at will, you can find the study at the following link:https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3918960/Has it been reproduced? yes. Has it been observed? clearly, as you can read in this study. Can you experiment with it? of course, there's lots of experimentation going on when you have a phase. As I said in a previous post, and this is just a personal opinion derived from my previous out of body experiences, it's just a shift of awareness and the mind filters the experience in such a way that it's ireproducible because you can't enter the phase with the same mindset and under the same conditions each time. The mind tries to put logic behind something that has none, it tries to interfere and mingle with the experience in such a way as to make it as rational as possible.

Re: astral projection can a blind person do it?

Of course science can't prove that astral projection exists, science can't even prove the existence of consciousnes. You can't observe consciousnes objectively, you can't take it apart and observe it's components and it stil exists. Dave calmers beautifuly said at a conference in 1994, university of Arizona:The brain, Chalmers began by pointing out, poses all sorts of problems to keep scientists busy. How do we learn, store memories, or perceive things? How do you know to jerk your hand away from scalding water, or hear your name spoken across the room at a noisy party? But these were all “easy problems”, in the scheme of things: given enough time and money, experts would figure them out. There was only one truly hard problem of consciousness, Chalmers said. It was a puzzle so bewildering that, in the months after his talk, people started dignifying it with capital letters – the Hard Problem of Consciousness – and it’s this: why on earth should all those complicated brain processes feel like anything from the inside? Why aren’t we just brilliant robots, capable of retaining information, of responding to noises and smells and hot saucepans, but dark inside, lacking an inner life? And how does the brain manage it? How could the 1.4kg lump of moist, pinkish-beige tissue inside your skull give rise to something as mysterious as the experience of being that pinkish-beige lump, and the body to which it is attached?"Science is ghastly silent about all and sundry that is really near to our heart, that really matters to us. It cannot tell us about red and blue, bitter and sweet, beautiful and ugly, good or bad, God and eternity. Science sometimes pretends to answer questions in these domains, but the answers are often so silly that we are not inclined to take them seriously."—Erwin Schrodinger, a Nobel prize winning physicist

Re: astral projection can a blind person do it?

Astral projection is a topic that's been debated for years and everyone involved has a theory or an other. The fact is that it's real, you can experience it if you learn the techniques to do so and it can be experienced by everyone. The main advantage for me is that it made me question everything, reality, dreams, who we really are and what we can achieve if we really put our minds to it. The experience is indistinguishable from reality, it feels real to an unnatural degree, sometimes even surreal because you can do things that you can't even think of in the real world. I tend to incline more towards astral projection being a shift of awareness. More like you are pure awareness but this awareness gets filtered through the mind and the body that's why we are able to comprehend and remember the experience. During the entering and leaving stages you can feel some very unnatural things, things that, I believe, our mind couldn't simulate. These include intense vibrations, it's like you're electricuted but you feel no pain, loud noises, sometimes as loud as church bells and the sensation of leaving the body, it's like swimming through mud, you really have to struggle to get out of the body. Then there's the reentering stage where you feel a strong jolt and, a while after that, you perceive the weight of your body, it's like you've been on the moon for a while and you returned to earth for the hollyday. The experience itself is amazing and intriguing at the same time. To me it looks like your mind tries to get you back, it tries to modify and mingle with everything you do because it wants to make sense of everything, it wants to put logic behind something that has no logic atall so it filters the experience in a way that you only get glimpses of what pure awareness feels like. Let me give you a simple example. In that reality you are pure awareness, you have no substance so you can act in any way you want, you can pass through walls for instance. It's not as simple as it seems though because if you think about passing through the wall infront of you it will not work. The mind reasons that it's not a logical thing to do and wouldn't let you do it. If you focus on the point behind the wall though, it's like the wall doesn't even exist even if you touched it seconds ago, you can walk through it like walking through air. The mind is a very strong filter, and you have to be really clever to bypass that.

Re: astral projection can a blind person do it?

Of course blind people can do astral projection, I've done it myself countless times. The method I use is very simple. I relax my body for a few minutes by doing breathing exercises. Then I Immagine my arms moving, like doing backstroke when swimming. I focus all my thoughts on this, I let my mind and body fall asleep and eventually I can drag myself out of the body by doing a backstroke. I feel like swimming in a very thick water at first as my spirit leaves the body but afterwards all is fine.I derived my method from the book "THE PHASEA Practical Guidebook for Lucid Dreaming and Out-of-Body Travel" which you can find here for free: https://obe4u.com/lucid-dreaming-books-free/The method presented in this book is the simplest yet the most effective I've seen. I too before finding this one tried the rope technique and other visualization ones but the main problem is that, I believe, for us blind folks is much harder to propperly concentrate on something if you don't have sight. Even the word visualize creates a blockage in your mind which prevents you from using this method effectively, in your subconscious you know that it's a waste of time to visualize something if you have no sight.Anyway, I hope the book will be as usefull to you as it was for me. Enjoy. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

What’s happening? Great to see you! Come on in for a beer!”Although impressed, Dave’s boss is still skeptical. After they leave Cruise’s house, he tells Dave that he thinks him knowing Cruise was just lucky.“No, no, just name anyone else,” Dave says.“President Obama,” his boss quickly retorts.“Yup,” Dave says, “Old buddies, let’s fly out to Washington,” and off they go.At the White House, Obama spots Dave on the tour and motions him and his boss over, saying, “Dave, what a surprise, I was just on my way to a meeting, but you and your friend come on in and let’s have a beer first and catch up.”Well, the boss is very shaken by now but still not totally convinced. After they leave the White House grounds he expresses his doubts to Dave, who again implores him to name anyone else.“Pope Francis,” his boss replies.“Sure!” says Dave. “I’ve known the Pope for years.” So off they fly to Rome.Dave and his boss are assembled with the masses at the Vatican’s St. Peter’s Square when Dave says, “This will never work. The only instance I've heard of hand-writing being recognized is when you type on the iphone using the hand-writing mode and it tries to recognize the text. However, I haven't even considdered that option yet because I have no idea about how the hand-written form of a letter might look like so I can't test it. I've been, unfortunately, taught only braille in school so I can't get a grasp of what it means to write by hand.

We moved together and we're living the dream On the other hand, I finished my master's degree a while ago and I haven't managed to land a job even if I did my best towards achieving this. Lots of employers don't bother to respond, I have a feeling that they're checking me on social media and discovering that i'm blind before I actually have a chance to tell them. I haven't lost hope yet but I'm on the brink of it, I'm seriously considdering starting my own bussiness and writing a rude letter to all employers that haven't even considdered me. Talking about the weather, it's about 25 C over here during the day, a pleasant temperature. Things can go wild during winter overhere though, last year we had -20 C but it's okay for me, I preffer the cold days rather than the hot ones.

teaching english to a sighted child

Hello everyone.I have to teach a sighted chid english. It is part of my job and I have no idea how to go about it. I can teach him how to speak propperly, I can teach him reading because I have the books he's using in school and I can follow these but i'm having problems when it comes to writing. I'm looking for any usefull ressources for a blind teacher, perhaps some educational games, I can play with him. The child is about 9 so I don't want to do anything too serious with him because I know that at that age it's very difficult to concentrate for longer periods of time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.BTW, I'm teaching english as a second language.

I have tried the software on an old computer that I own, it's a windows 7 machine with no important data on it so I'm willing to accept the risc. The software contains a lot of cracked software, gold wave, windows, win zip, a blind legend, etc. Sofar, nothing has happened to my system and I kinda love the features that this program offers. It has full youtube support, you can play media, download as mp3, skip back and forward between the search results, you can adjust the volume, and the playback position. I don't encourage anyone to try it since this could be a malicious software, the fact that the author doesn't give a damn about copyright is enough proof for me.

Re: Last season of game of thrones audio described

If you would allow links leading to the game of thrones series to be distributed here then the rules should apply to any audio described tv series or movie, you can't just make a rule and apply it until the season is done. I would vote no because it would create a lot of friction amongst the forum members, perhaps some flame wars and a few copyright problems. There are a few options for audio described content such as netflix that people can use and not watching a season  isn't the end of the world.

Re: security in size?

@Ironcross, I completely agree with you. I am okay with casual sex if both of us have no partners, I've done it a few times and it can be a fun experience if you encounter the right person. The most important thing is to set things clear before sex so both of the partners know what they are getting into. This is to prevent further complications such as one of the partners falling in love. I would strongly advise against swinging though, no protection is 100% safe so there's always the risc of getting a STD. Even condoms, the most used protection method nowadays, can't protect you against all diseases. There are some diseases that are transmitted through touching the skin around the vagina so the chances of getting one increase dramatically if you happen to sleep with such a person. There's deffinitely a risk involved when you do swinging and anyone should be aware of what they are getting into before actually doing it.

Re: security in size?

Well, I've talked with some girls about size and all of them said it doesn't really matter. As my actual girl friend said to me, it matters only if he doesn't perform well or if it's very small or very big since then she wont enjoy sex. An average size is deffinitely ok for any woman. The most important things during sex are how you treat your partner, how you perform, how you interpret the ques she gives during sex and how you pleasure her. Women are different so they like different things, one might like lying on top or with her back to you. During sex, learning to give her an orgasm is what really matters, I believe that more experienced women enjoy a bigger penis because it puts more pressure on the vagina and on the sensible spots and some of them like it that way. Sex is just like any other skill, you have to practice it in order to get better at it, you must experiment and ask questions since this is how you become a more experienced partner, which is the thing that really matters when you have sex.Sex is a really wonderfull thing if you do it right and there are so many things to try and so many ways to enjoy yourselves.

Re: Have you ever failed a drug test?

Hi.I am an almost daily pot smoker myself and I would hate if a company wouldn't want to hire me because I hit it on the weekend. I am in university now and I have no problems studying or doing any activities related to my master's degree because of pot, in fact, I can safely say that it somehow opens up my mind, I am actually translating better when on weed loll.Anyway, I think that pot should be decriminalised world wide, just like alcohol is right now. I see alcohol as the more dangerous drug and I can say this from experience. Alcohol can fuck you up really badly, it causes memory loss, like you can't remember a thing about last night, and the headache after you drink is terrible. Weed has no effects on my body that I'm aware of, it's much safer imo.Weed should be treated imho like any other legal substance that impairs your ability to judge and take quick decisions so it shouldn't be allowed on the job. But what you do in your spare time should be noone's concern.

Re: how do you guys handle shaving

Hi.I use a normal razor and it does the job wonderfully for me. I like to get a clean shave so the best advice I can give you for the best experience is to go against the hair growth pattern. If the beard grows downwards go upwards and remove it. You can feel around the razor to see if there's any hair left but becarefull not to touch the blades or you might get your fingers cut. With a normal blade you should never try to cut sideways, try to keep a straight line, up or down. If you go sideways you could cut yourself very badly. It's pretty easy after you get the hang of it, try different shaving creams and see which one you like the best, it's very important that you use one that fits your shaving style.

Having a greater audience should be something they would want imho. Luckily I was able to access the website using the tor browser and it seems that my account is stil up. I'm sure that all they did was force the users to use other means of accessing the site, and now that we can't buy from them the only interesting thing in there is the movie vault. Tor seems to do a good job of bypassing their protection so happy downloading.

I've tried to press all the buttons on the keyboard but neither of them work. It might be necessary to get an external DVD drive and connect it but I don't know if it will work. I received this one as a gift so I might just go to service and have them install windows on it, it seems to be the only option. Well, now I know never to get a laptop that has endless OS on it, it's a pain in the back to get rid of it.
