do you really think he is smart enough for a backup plan though? He sounds like the, I think now, I do now, type of person, and not the, let's think ahead person. And he isn't usually able to fly under the radar for this amount of time, so either this isn't him, or yes you completely over looked this account because he wasn't yet making alts which was already pointed out, but this one just sounds like you are giving him too much credit for being able to think ahead and think rationally.

swamp did use some common sounds that you can find in other places, I don't know much about the sound design. But even if bk3 did use swamp sounds, it was about 8 years ago the game was created, and it was last updated in 2019 because the developer has started a heavy college career. So I don't think the mods are after bk3.

I'm addressing this to the moderation team:You're doing this the hard way, and I understand why. It's that personal connection. It's that sense of being able to care for something because you love it so much. You are attempting to take on roles you have never experienced or trained for. Most notably, a lawyer. As much as it looks and feels like it is helping, and it is helping to some extent, it isn't "real help". What does that mean, real help?It means putting the situation in someone's hands who is trained to deal with this, and taking it out of your own inexperienced hands. You want the best, and the best you can do is trust people who know what they are doing.Contact lawyers or a true copyright agency, tell them the truth and only the truth, and let them handle this situation. It's the only right way to do this. Also, y'all could use a break from all the stress on the forum, and this is that time. Y'all will still remain moderators of this site, y'all will still have the same jobs you did before. You just have to let other people who know what they are doing, handle what you can't. The forum's life is in your hands, and your shaky and only half reliable help, is much more risky and time consuming and stressful than getting the proper help that the forum needs to get stable again.I hope this message hits deep because...I don't want to finish that sentence. With this new change of public applications, a new form of communication between the staff, and a new member or 2 on the team to hopefully give the forum the spark it needs again, will the team look more into the physical condition of the sight? We all know that the webmasters have been strict with the amount of control they give to the admins, and that you have tried to get them to realize that this forum needs a makeover badly. Will y'all try to make progress with that, or consider finding an alternate way to host audiogames.net in the near future? I realize this is not your immediate concern, however I think a lot of us can agree at this moment we are fighting a losing battle with the current software. Sorry if this question comes off as inconsiderate or not relevant, however personally speaking I do think it should be more of a priority once things start moving again, now that we have new communication and a stronger staff.

this idea of not being able to delete topics to crack down on punishment won't work. Because people can edit their posts instead of deleting the topic. The real answer to this idea is keeping an archive of the original posts as well as not letting the topic be deleted. If users can see original posts, then people will think twice about putting something there worth covering up.The only problem is how would this work with polls? You can reset votes.But this is all  dream. Someone on this forum needs to find someone they know who will go through with making a new site.

I don't think you realize how much drama would be avoided if a lot of people pm the mods instead of making topics for small things. All of dan_gero's topics could have been avoided that way. This topic could have been avoided that way. The recent piracy topic, rules have gone too far topic, could have been avoided. Sometimes things are better left to pm, and I don't think we have enough cases to prove whether or not that pm would help. You are probably going to say, that is encouraging silencing people's right to speak. It's not. They are speaking to the mods. But while they are speaking to the mods, no one can come in here and light a flame. No one can turn a simple request no matter how important or how silly it looks, into a drama carnival. So to answer your question, yes actually there is an unwritten rule that people are not paying attention to. Learn when pm verses public topic is necessary.

Haley with talking about very small things in a topic rather than a private reqest to the mods. If you need help, ok ask. But think about how you do it and why you are doing it the way you are. I wrote many topics about dealing with blindness a year ago. But they were open ended discussions, they weren't personal things that only I would care about or only I had an issue with. And I dare say this. I made those topics to actually receive help. I think a lot of these topics are for drama or for attention. If that is not the intension, well learn to clean up your shit correctly and prove that isn't for that reason.

I wonder how many of those guests are spam bots and how many are human. If any mods or even regular users have any recent spam bot stories, I and possibly others could use a laugh. Also with the global situation around, I am sure sites are being flooded with ads for supplies and treatments, I don't look at the news so no clue if that is actually happening.

some of the music in cp is remixes pulled from youtube, so I guess in one way that is a loophole, but they are also not giving credit to those who made the remixes. And thinking more as I write, that might even be worse since those small creators are not going to copyright their work, it is a simple remix, and one based from something else at that. Obviously, the cp team isn't goign around saying, oh this person has a remix, since they don't have copyright let's use it. They just want to use it because it sounds cool. But still. Also, why are they using horrible horrible quality tracks? If you are going to pirate, get the best quality you can find!

some of the music in cp is remixes pulled from youtube, so I guess in one way that is a loophole, but they are also not giving credit to those who made the remixes. And thinking more as a write, that might eve n e worse since those small creators are not going to copyright their work, it is a simple remix, an d one based from something else at that. Of course, the cp team isn't goign around saying, oh this person has a remix, since they don't have copyright let's use it. They just want to use it because it sounds cool. But still. Also, why are they using horrible horrible quality tracks? If you are going to pirate, get the best quality you can find!

I'm going to say it. It's going to piss people off, but the truth is the truth. Crazy party is, and will never be like mario, sonic, pokemon, or zelda. Few reasons why. First, these games have been around for 30 years. Crazy party has been around for about for 4 years. Second, it's coded in freaking bgt. Come on. Third, audio games are no where near main stream level. Fourth, Nintendo has hundreds or thousands of workers, full time as well. Crazy party is only a few people and not full time. Those are the obvious ones. The game is good for what it is. I like it. But don't even try to compare it to main stream games. You can't compare it to any of the games that the sounds are picked from, because it is nowhere close to them, no matter how hard you try to manipulate the audio game. So the whole idea of, the sounds makes it like the original game, is crap. I will tell you now, I loved those types of games when I was a kid. The years hen I had sight, I freaking obsessed on playing mario and zelda titles. Crazy party does not give me any memories of that. None. If you have always been completely blind, obviously you aren't getting the same feelings as I am because I could see what the game was like, I could see what the difference was. You all who have always been blind have had to imagine it, and it looks and sounds the same, so you think, it must be the same! But it's not even close.

My rhythm rage level creator is composed of operating system sounds, mainly Apple. Does this count as stealing assets as well? I am willing to change them if so. Also I should mention the sounds are not encrypted.One other question. If rhythm rage is invested under rule 3, would my project still be allowed on here? I ask because the manual does give a direct download to rhythm rage.

I like the idea of adding more staff for either specific tasks or just in general. But if you assign staff to certain positions, that would be more risky because not everyone would have the context to agree or disagree since only a few people have the context.

can the headings for topics be a link?

This isn't a big deal, but when using mac OS or windows I have to press tab to move to the actual link after already pressing h. On iOS I can scroll down by headings and the link is there.Again this isn't anything huge at all, but I'm curious as to why iOS puts the link in the heading where as desktop does not, from my experience

@Liam no it isn't breaking rules, but it is very difficult for those like Trajectory who would like to make nice deeds such as this one, as they have to make a list and check it twice.Twice a day.He shouldn't have the role of santa claws, going through all of the topics seeing which boys and girls get the gifts. Having them all in one topic, was part of his criteria to make it easy on him, and for keeping the donation topic clean to easy to breeze through.You don't have to enforce it, but making it a point would definitely make it easier for those wanting to do such deeds.

In a lot of the flame wars, people admit to posting things with emotional impulsiveness and not thinking about their post before hitting the post button.It can and does happen to everyone at some point. Even me of course. It's part of being a human. We are built from emotion and a lot of the time, are not wise enough to think before acting.That being said, some do it more than others. A multitude of factors go into this, so I can't name any specifics.Is there any way we could attempt to reduce the amount of emotional or impulsive posts without making someone feel like we are limiting their freedom of speech? Like maybe after they press the post button they have to wait 5 or 10 seconds for it to actually post and if they hit it again it tells them they can't post in that topic for 20 minutes? Or when they push the post button it asks them, are you sure you are ready to post? Reread your post and think about what you are saying. I realize that solution is more like a license agreement, no one is going to read it, just click the yes button.We can't stop it from happening, but is there some way we can have the sight remind them before they post or force them to be patient if they are impulsive? Some solution so it doesn't happen as often?

Maybe there could be a new pending room. Each topic is automatically assigned a pole, move to new releases or starter. Every project has to go through this room, which means disabling post new topic in both rooms.If that is too unorganized, you can put these 3 rooms as sub rooms in the new releases room. Of course the new releases sub room would have to be renamed to something else lol.
