Re: Braillemon status update!

Hi there! Just wanted to drop in and say that Im loving the update. I have been able to make it to route 4, and have had a great time playing. I have found an odd glitch, though, that I do not see posted about here so far. On route 3 I was trying to catch a jiglypuff and the pokemon broke out of the ball. Right after this happened, the game crashed. It did not give any info on why it did so. It simply closed the game maker window. I assumed that this wasnt supposed to happen, figured I should mention it.Its been a great game so far, and I have a smile on my face, because this is so much fun, and I remember playing through pokemon yellow for the first time ,and the game has lost none of its awesomeness in the blind accessible version!URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=172583#p172583

All of these new things sound wonderful. Thanks very much for responding!daigonite wrote:Dont worry, none of this is whining, I have down time on the project due to the save feature not being able to be implemented so Im adding all sorts of little features and clean ups. Here are some things I cleaned up in the current dev version:-Cries change based on HP.- You can change the order of your moves by going into the move menu on the overworld and pressing backspace, and then selecting another move by pressing backspace again.-Battles remember what move you used last.-Battles no longer show No move if there is an empty move slot and just simply cycles through the available moves.-You can change the volume by holding down F11 and F12.-Battle music changes based on locational factors (I plan to implement Johto at some point)I changed the soun
d so that in the forest it works like the wind sound in the map. Before it was not affected by collisions but now it is.Both the crash and the d problem were caused by the fact that I havent fully implemented something yet. I knew about the d problem but not the one with the trainer... whoops.I have an idea with your last part. How about implementing a key that tells you how far away collisions are in the cardinal directions? For example, it can say There is a wall 5 spaces north, 3 spaces east, 2 spaces west and 1 space south. But I want to cut it off after 5 since some maps have areas that have areas where collisions do not surround all 4 sides (near warps usually), so it can say something like no collision nearby instead.Yes! This sounds perfect!URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=168531#p168531

Hello, I use to play the pokemon games when I could see. I am wishing to play them now, though. I cant see and Ive read that some of you amazingly are able to play these games with walk throughs etc.Would you be able to provide the walk throughs that you used? Most of them I find, arnt good enough, and I get very lost. Also where did you get the imulaters?thank you so much!DedenneURL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=167610#p167610

Re: Braillemon status update!

A repost, under my actual account... Had to create a new account, due to the other accounts funky name. sorry if this seems spammy.Greetings,I love love love this so far. This is very fun. I have noticed a few bugs here and there. I am playing the latest version of the game, updated 7 weeks agoe from dropbox. I have read through each page on the forems, and cant find reports of these in the latest version. So I thought Id report them here.First, some areas let me press the letter d and it will tell me where things are. However, I have found that in Pewtar city and Palette city, I am unable to find the coordinates of importent locations. Also, when on rout 3, when talking to the trainer who says that he likes shorts, I received this arer:__FATAL ERROR inaction number 1at time step2of time line TrainerVictoryz:Push :: Execution Error - Variable Get 17.trainer(100059, 0)at Timeline_TrainerVictoryz_1Thats all the issues that Ive encountered thus far.I have one suggestion, though. I dont know if Ive missed something, but I am finding it very hard to navagate the various routs and also the forest before Pewtar city. I can guess that this is very hard to implement, but something to tell me where I am would be a great thing. For example, I could look around, by pressing the letter l and it could tell me what is around me. Just something so Im not wandering around blindly. Is there a map, that would give me detailed directions, that Im perhaps missing?I mannaged to bump and worm my way out of the forest, but it took a long while. This is just a sugges
tion, so parden my whinging. and I am by far amazed at the level of work that has gone into this project so far. So please dont take offence. I use to play the pokemon games when I could see, and this is remaining super faithful to the R/B/Y games. so you have made my day.thank you!URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=167473#p167473
