Hi, first, arcadia, post 8, If you want to contribute to the cast with audio especially if stuff works and descriptions thats fine.To everyone else, if you can't including well everyone posted so far and in the future, if you can, audio would be the best so you have a voice.But if you can't speak english or you can't speak for whatever reason, just send a text file in an email, and I'll use balabolka to convert the thing to mp3 and read it out via scansoft nuance vocaliser or one core.So far, if you can tell what country you are from, I can read out us, uk, australian, canadian and I think indian english and I think one core has irish to.So if you tell me where you come from with your audio or text or whatever then finek, if you just want to run out in text thats fine.Obviously if you have working devices audio would be the best or if you still can't speak, text and just the audio of you using the devices and I'll just knock them together.It would be nice to have these things working, but if push comes to shove I have access to the phonetones sync folder which has dumps of the music and sound for each of these.In addition, somewhere I have the series 60 symbian midi sound font to load into coolsoft so its not like I don't have choices.My target for the cast, is probably somewhere between june/ july anyway.Mainly because I am in the process of getting bits of my house gutted and bits reconstructed, this is almost done my side.After that I need to get ready for the road trips I have on, so in about 7 or so weeks of trips or so around the country.Anyway, After all that and all extra updates and other stuff, I'll need to find a blank spot which I will find and put em together, so just drop them to me when you are ready, you have heaps of time.While I will be away from the 18th to 24th of this month, I will be able to answer questions before them, and from the 25th till 4th of march.After that I will have my system with me but questions may not be all the time as I will be traveling about and probably only pulling out the laptop when I am in a place for a long while like 2 or 3 days.Anyway, no pressure needed, this thing is going to have a long move time.At any rate at some point either the virus will lock us down again, or I will find some blank space.This has been the main reason I have put all offline external contracts off.Anyway just keep posting and joining in the descussion.If you are unsure listen to the cast to see what I'm about. My family does have some old phones from the mid 2000's including my favorite emvy 3 I really miss phones with keyboards. Re: Any phone collectors here? #6 i can try, but i'm not able to speak fluently in english because it's not my native language.Most of those phones sadly aren't working, so i can only describe how they look like, and some of them have old lipolymer batteries which aren't working anymore and i can't afford new ones cause i don't have money, and in 90s and 2000s there weren't any charger standards like microUSB or USB type C so it's so hard to get for example old motorola chargers etc.I currently have a box full of phones, sadly i can't identify their brands or models because stickers under the battery aren't readable anymore.Also i'm looking for the phones that are legends like motorola Eazr V3, samsung matrix, sony ericson w830, lg chocolate or siemens sl45.The most interesting manufacturer for me is samsung, because their old phones hat a lot of sound effects like one was assignet to the back key, second one was playing while navigating in the menus etc.I am also trying to hack symbian on nokia phones and install screenreader there so i can check how menu looks like. Re: Any phone collectors here? I myself don't collect old phones, but my stepdad has a bunch. The oldest one we have is from the 80s. It's a Nokia and it has a pretty long antenna. Then we have a lot of phones from the 90s and the 2000s. He just got an Iphone 4 and I got a 5S from my cousin. Any phone collectors here? Hi everyone.Since 2020 i started collecting phones.My adventure has started when i found some old cell phones in my house, some of them have even antennas.It is very interesting for me how phones were designed before very thin rectangular smartphones era.Then i started asking people from closer and extended family about their old cellphones and if they want to donate them to my collection.Now my collection is growing up and i'm searching everyday for new models in accurate price.Does anyone else here has similar hobby?Regards.
