Re: Trying to get a book to read on IBooks. Going just by that file size it does sound like the book just has scanned in page images. If that's the case your only real option is to run OCR on this book with software like FineReader. But at that point you definitely don't want to buy from

Re: Trying to get a book to read on IBooks. an idiot,I'm afraid it looks like this is probably a scanned book. THe sample is indeed mostly not reading. Another reason I suspect this is that the full size is over 100 MB, which is pretty huge for any book which doesn't contain either images

Trying to get a book to read on IBooks. On iOS, I have a sample of a book that I’m considering purchasing. The problem, voiceover can’t read most of the text. What is the issue and is there any way I could extract all text from an iBook should the Book be an accessible in its current form?
