I think the both of us were online for the christmas night event. I stopped playing the game, but I finally realised how unbalanced the game is, and how boldface the devs of that game are. I can imagine how much cash, US cash, they rack in just off explosive tapes alone. Mason gets zero dollars out of any of that, even though he put in the sweat, tears, and had to go through all the drama, together with poor Sam who almost killt himself because of their clonery. I think they'll finally learn when they take the effort to create a game of their own, or lets just imagine for a minute, they made a clone called, Strife of Life, or SL. Its a clone of ultrapower, with more life sim stuff baked in the mix. Its adored by all the clone-playing community. However, you get the source code to SL, and make all the paid items in your version, called Life Battle. Everyone leaves SL, and heads over to LB in droves. I think if something were to happen to people like Secret_Land and others, they may finally shape up, or maybe, they just don't give a shit. They know they can just change up a couple things, and join the forum over and over again, repeatedly, with no form of consciquence. Let's just say the forum could permiban a person. OK. O! I'm banned from a random forum filled with a bunch of bastards who always complain! and mods who alwways ban and not listen to anuone! o! I' so damn scared! This was my post, and I think it was the longest I've ever written. I do hope this situation is resolved, and all the parties involved can learn the lesson taught to them, by their mistakes, and other forum users can also learn from their example. Re: huntation I'm just gonna come out and say that if proof doesn't materialize to back your claim pretty soon, SecretLand, I'm going to suggest moving forward as if conclusion 2 (i.e., you're lying, and never had any right to the code) is true.This would mean the following:1. Whoever used Haily's code in the first place without authorization, you should be ashamed of yourself. Haily trusted you and you violated that trust. She bears some responsibility for not being cautious, but you are ultimately at fault, whoever you are, for starting this. She thought she could trust you, and whether that's poor judgment or simply means that you tricked/deceived/otherwise manipulated her, the onus is on you.2. SecretLand, regardless of who he got the source from, is not at liberty to distribute it, and the case will be processed according to the rules.3. Going forward, it is known that until stated otherwise, no one except Haily has the right to distribute Huntation. Until she says differently, the game is essentially dead. If she wishes to transfer the rights, or to destroy the game outright and outlaw all future distribution of the game, those are both her right to do.4. I will personally be seeking to make SecretLand's punishment greater on the basis that he attempted to draw in another innocent party (Ivan) into the situation. Because at this point you're not just redistributing code, you're trying to pull someone else under the bus to take your place. Not cool, and not going to work.So yeah. That's what's coming down the pipe unless some real evidence to support you comes up soon, SecretLand. And do us all a favour; don't fake it, because we'll know, and it'll only go worse for you. Noone deserves to have their work stolen no matter what they did, it's still their work, but come on, you can do enough to secure it yourself. This isn't a leak so stop calling it that. A leak takes more effort. This is just being naive and trusting people you really should not trust. And this isn't the first time, this keeps happening for whatever reason. This is a big part of what kills collaboration in the audiogaming community. I doubt anyone is motivated to collaborate on a project knowing that one day someone will just share their code without their permission. Ok, I'll take that as a yes.How would you feel if you have been programming something for a long time, or even a short time, but it was a challenge to make and you were really proud of it. Or perhaps you have created a piece of music, or a good recipe, or a book, or an artwork, or anything, and then someone just goes, "this is mine! I made it so I am the best!" wery wery beeg studios, anyone? That's what cloning is. Admittedly, I've stepped into that, and it's very addicting just having a fully functioning game engine, not knowing enough coding or just being too lazy in my case, to make your own, all having it there and you only have to make a few changes, get a vps, and boom, you have a game.But that isn't how making a game works, and it never will be, and I feel ashamed for even stepping into thinking about that. Back in early 2019, I had a city mass clone called dangerous combat. And to be honest, I was greatful for the unexpected token right brace error that was given to me after a few days. Sometimes the most annoying things can also be the most wise, and can guide you out of things you shouldn't be doing and I know that error definitely did. So before you go travelling down that road, just think about the person whom which the code was truly made by, and how they would feel if it was just stolen away from them. I know i would feel very very angry if someone did something like that to me and even cloners get angry when someone clones their clones, so I know that they know what we are thinking and that they have gone through it too. But why must the endless circle go on? Why must people steal from others to get power? Did you know, making a tiny guess the number game in pure basic felt more satisfying than having a cm server. even though it was small, and I knew everyone would give it a 1/10, I knew it was mine, and I didn't have that weight of guilt over me. It felt so free, I got addicted to pure basic and now I can safely say I am quite advanced in it and can code a formitable product if I have the time to do it. So, just think about that before you start doing things like cloning, because it comes back at you and it isn't even that enjoyable. Sure, it's cool to have people on your game, sure it is and that is undeniable. I think that's why the cloners do it. They're taking advantage of the people who have not come to that insight and we need to help put a stop to that. Don't just tell people to stop cloning and insult them like they have done bad, but point them to resources and encourage others who see the behavior to do the same. A lot of developers, like me, probably started from someone else's sourcecode. That's natural. And that doesn't matter, no, not at all. The power has little to do with the final fact. It's the responsibility and the ability (or inability in cloning's case) to stand in other people's shoes. Releasing a game is very exciting and you feel like people will appreciate it because it's true. some will. But next time you feel like doing that, just imagine the other developer who you are stealing from and how they would feel if they saw you were making a clone and ripping off their product. I think it's a pretty daunting task, coding an original game, but it is certainly much more satisfying than coding a clone. It's exciting to know that you did it all by yourself and it is YOURS and you have made it which means you are a true developer, but it's difficult to differenciate at first and I am forgiving for that because I went through the same thing. It gets to a point though where then you are irreputeable and that is when things need to stop.Hoping someone on here finds a use out of this post, it's taken me an hour to write. It just wastes time, and pretty much guarantees you a quick and permanent trip to the freezer. Pending further investigation, I, personally, will be advocating for a permanent ban. We're not kidding around with illegal distribution and unauthorized source code, folks. It doesn't matter if the game is fully fleshed out and amazing, or full of bugs, or forty percent finished, or a copy of concept (as appears to be the case here). If you don't own it, do not act like it's yours. Don't spread links around unless said links are already freely being shared with the legal owner's consent. In other words, this is sort of like a watered down version of super egg hunt, without all the bells and whistles.++2: Keys.Up, down, left and right: Move.C: Check your x and y coordinates.Escape: Exit the game.++3: objective.The main objective, is to see how many eggs you can get in two minutes. You will be notified once one minute has elapsed, then 30 seconds, then finally given your final score once the two minutes are up.Eggs make this little beeping sound. Just run twoord one to grab it.Clocks make a kind of fast ticking / clicking sound. Just run twoord one to grab it, just like with eggs.
