Re: Accessible but Visually Appealing WordPress Themes Hi n.cWell sorry about blowing my trumpet but as a wordpress blogger and tester, I am going to have to blow my trumpet on this one.Wordpress is a good blog platform.The normal theme 2011- whatever the latest is should be reasonably accessible also the ingegno theme is aparently ok I havn't really experimented with themes.However you are going to need zerospam and or zero press as well as impostaside plugins for spam as minimal.In addition the jetpack plugin even in its free non pro state is really good for monitoring.In addition on the blog I share with a few persons I have the following setupHigh Contrast AdminFor highcontrast viewing.Sociablefor twitter and other social network linking.SocialCrowd Favorite | twitter.Twitter ToolsWordPress Zero SpamEven if you minus the social network plugins and highcontrast viewers out of the picture, you will immediately want to have an automat ic spam killer.In addition powerpress for podcasts, some sort of rss page, open xml google for podcast related stuff though this does make a large database file.And additionally some sort of logical captcha.If you don't want to go the captcha root, you may want to disable registration and manually add users if you don't, you will need some of logic or other captcha for user registration or something there is a lot of spam out there.I found this out a bit to late, at first aggressive captchas were used but by then ofcause there was and still is a major spam user load in the database, and after a few security and hacks of the site it was decided to just disable registration.Out of the list of what I have wordpress zerospam and jetpack are minimal.As for theme use the standard one.
