Secondly, I also made a playthrough, without any voiceovers during gameplay. Especially the question how to defeat the boss has been asked like 7 times and people tried to give them clues multiple times, the full clue on how to defeat the boss was announced at least three times or more. In some cases, it wasnt necessary at all, since the last time the clue was announced was just a few posts earlier.This makes threads like these grow like nothing else, somehow I can understand those who are not going to flip through all seven pages, but after two pages, which should still be okay, people already start asking already answered questions, because they dont even feel like reading through two pages. I did not read every single word, especially because I got fed up with doing this throughout seven pages, but at least, after just a few minutes, I got the hang of what you were talking about the first two pages and would have had the chance to catch up with you.The question about the boss should be cleared up now, it was mentioned at least once on the last few pages, even on page 7, I think.Now we cant do too much about that anymore, but in the future, Id really recommend you to look a bit deeper into the threads, before just jumping into the discussion without you actually really know what has been discussed already and what not.And you dont need to double-post, why else do we have the option to edit our existing posts? Im now wondering if Ive been approaching this a little wrong as I think even though this is a short game sometimes you are meant to wait and listen. For the houses and lesser dmons its kind of about reactions, with the bosss now that I know what to do I wasnt really paying attenion to the soundscape, which now that I realize this, Im kind of surprised that I didnt, and will have to really listen next time. Ive played many audio games over the years, but none have touched me in as a profound a manner as this one has. Everything about it is heart-warming, from the simple yet elegant plot, to the lovely music, to the awesome cutscenes and fantastic voice acting. Also, the banishing of the destroyer was one of my all-time favorite, most epic sequences ever.I only managed to play the game last night, but I feel like in a way it made up for the less than stellar Christmas day I had. It would be better if that if you weaken him you have to fight him yourself and if hes weakened, he falls down to your hight and you have to fight him yourself? And that alot of times hes using his shield and hes regenerating 2 or 3 times unless his regenerating abilities are dead, then if he dies you hear him dieing yourself cause you killed him yourself. Because the weakening isnt bad, but after it? Re: Angelgift: the adventure begins! Hi,mikerschs2 Im glad you like the game! Angelgift is meant to be a simple Christmas game, with a character who is not supposed to be a superhero. This is the reason why you cant complete the game alone, i.e. without regenerations. She is young, inexperienced. Her only fuel is curiosity and her motivation, once she realises whats going on. As a contrast, we have a far more experienced demon, who is seen as being able to move mountains if he wanted to.Lyriels pain is felt across the world, hence the screams when she gets hit. She is scared, but she is not giving up and fights with what she knows best, her positive emotions. They are not strong, but strong enough to keep the demon in check until she asks for more power (noticed the lightning strikes, have you?)The game is really not combat oriented, it cannot be with a character like Lyriel. But affter she says something is wrong, i can feel it, and those demons start to chace her, thats when the bug appears. The sound, if you are wrong with the gifts in the houses, of course moves to the left. But if you give the right one, you dont notice any difference. Thats it, now ive reached the final boss. I were killed because of those explosions of him when i give the first gift to weaken him. And lol when you regenerate in the heaven the actions are reset so you must be quic lol. All of the music and sounds are stored in the data file exactly for this reason, so other people dont just take them and use them in their own productions without giving credit. A lot of time went into designing them, I helped with some of them like those massive explosions with the boss demon which required a lot of layering, the voice actors had to spend their free time recording and that also took a few hours, I think you get the idea. You can use the control key anywhere, you can fly, you can use shield, but theres really nothing to do. I think someone referred to this. If you hit escape here, it will close. Great game!Excellent music, sounds, and voice work.I can feel the amount of time you guys put into this just by playing the game, its palpable, the story is heart warming, and the holiday spirit is certainly present in this Christmas title, while the environment only adds to the winter atmosphere.Really though the demon fighting is awesome, I just wish I had a holly branch around so I could put notches in it for all the demons I killed, and carve the words Certified Christmas bad ass into it. Since the nice music after the credits at the end is quite long, it would be nice to be able to exit and fade it out, or choose to listen to it instead.Also, since I havent beaten the game yet I dont know, but, if its not already, it should probably be possible to skip those all together once you beat the game, if you choose to do it sooner. Though, I can see the point in having to listen to the credits fully the first time around.While combat is great, the ranges seem a bit weird, it seems as though I cant fly while a demon is attacking me, but sometimes, the demon is on the other side of the house, and since I cant seem to shoot bolts all the way through,, and since I have to be closer to the demon to hit it than it does to me, this makes it very hard, its doable, but I use up allot of energy. I also think that, I cant hit the demon while Im in the air, but not sure if thats purposeful or not. Thus, anything conventional wont work when it comes to combat. Your range, thus, is smaller than the demons.Houses are meant to be helpful in the development of Lyriels character, but they are also physical obstacles. Demons always try to follow you. Try to drag them closer to you, so that they are in range and shoot. Timing and speed is very very important, especially when the lesser demons appear.The E key plays a sound in stereo to tell you how much energy you have. Remember, each time you use your abilities, your energy goes down. If it reaches 0, you will have to go back to heaven and regenerate. You can do this only a couple of times until you lose motivation to continue. Use your abilities only when you absolutely need to, Lyriel is only a fledging angel, after all.The boss is not easy. Do not stay near him when he casts his s pells. Blasting him wont work, but you might be able to surround him with your gifts. Re: Angelgift: the adventure begins! Hi. Ive downloaded the game and the music and sounds are awsome, however Im running into a very irritating problem. Lyriel tells me in the tutorial to land ontop of a house to give them a gift. Okay, I float until the extra woosh tells me Im high enough, hit right once, land on the roof and walk along (I can hear Lyriels footsteps on the roof), but nothing happens. Ive walked all over that dam roof and I get no more instructions at all, it also seems I cant scroll right anymore until Ive done whatever that scene is, but its just not triggering, either that or I am doing something wrong. I echecked my hight, indeed on one occasion I even held up arrow and hammered right until Lyriel stopped hitting the wall. I initially thought I was supposed to be aiming for the creaking door but then I realized that was only on one side of the house. Any advice? I gather people have got further in the game than this, but it is s lightly irritating, the opening is amazing, but not when youve had to sit through it five times and can get no further . Thanks kruff, that worked fine, I didnt realize you slid off rooves if you hit the buttons too much and to land you just have to wait for the first ding, then hit left or right once and wait for Lyriel to touch down. The scenes were great, and the combat I liked especially, particularly the need to play defensively and be quick with the shield, luring the demons in to their doom! . Beware! spoilage ahoy!The only problem I did have was the lord of destruction, who sounded awsome! I cant wait to play this one on my sanheisa momentum headphones. I tried shooting him but was told I needed to weaken him first, so I tried the control key but nothing happens, and when I went close to try and get him he killed me and I got a game over, (which is annoying sinse while Id lost a couple of times against the standard demons, I did have a full energy m eter). Ill give it another try, though if it doesnt work out I might ask for a tip.
