I don't think so. I just tried to use BGT network object to connect to a Python Enet server and guess what? It didn't work. Unless you create a DLL which is wrapped into BGT, then I do not believe that bridging the gap with a different server is possible.

I mean I don't think an explanation of the current state of this forums and the tendency to jump down mod's throats for the smallest of reasons is needed so this could very well be used as an incentive, considering the current state with the whole sound pirating cluster fuck. I mean I'm kind of in the middle about that too but that is not the point of this post so I won't state my opinion on it, in this topic at least. To be honest though if that happened in this case I would agree as well. There was no reason to do it straight away, post about it then boom its changed. The user is very much capable of that on his own accord and so I think you should have given him a little time.

@Tunmi, I get mohamed fucked you over pretty badly, but, constantly attempting to jab at him will only serve to drench your character. Keep in mind most people aknowledges the way he treated you, then later the playebase, adn the gaem itself now. My mother always says your acts will do the speaking for you. Speaking will marely serve as arrogant rabble. Som TL:DR, don't jab at Mohamed or the game everytime you get on the forums, and move on to your own better project. Focus on that. Ahem ahem. In some BTS news, the game now, is only down to   one admin, who only comes on  for  like an hour on the morning time. So, the game is pretty much an unmoderated  dump now. Not that  it matters, since it  would appear that   the game has gotten an influx of   Aisian players. Mostly from China and Vietnam. The peak I've seen is around 13 players in the daytime, with the main map peaking around 4 players. It indeed has become a   sad state of affairs.

I've learned quite a bit from developing this game. But dragging our names through the dirt won't make people get any better, espeically since there's really no point in it. I wish some people understood that we are humans as well. But people just expect us to have metal shields strapped to our chests which they are able to throw attacks at and expect us to withstand the blows. There is a difference between dragging  names through dirt with actual meaning, than doing it over and over again until the dirt begins to crack, and age, and crumble. At that point, it becomes rude, disrespectful, and offensive. Especially since we are aware of our mistakes. but this community has a very interesting habbit of loving to use developers' pasts as a forged weapon.

I mean, STW isn't really pay to win. Yeah you can pay for DFC's and so on, but as someone with no DFC's it adds a bit of extra fun and challenge to it. About BTS, just because its the last one we have left that doesn't  mean that we should all praise it and raise it higher than thou. Back when Ironcross played it, and when i fiirst started playing you could have, actually, you know, move around on the main map with more than 2 people. Now, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah.I'll be fair. Last night I had a bit of fun on it with a guy, but it was only him and i on the main, and like 4 people in the SZ. Night is basically the only time you can play this thing because night is when you have nobody online. Lets also not brush aside the extremely questionable business practices of the devs.

SBYW has some pretty gnarly lag spikes at times, but are you gonna really sit here and tell me that BTS is less laggy than SBYW? Come on. When it was BS, it had way worse constant lag. Boredom and desperation go hand in hand too.Does this translate into the real world for you? If you lived in a neighborhood with one restaurant, and it was complete shit, would you still go there? I think most people wouldn't. The only difference with that analogy is that you're spending money for shit food and service, and by playing these games, you're not. So it's not 100% comparable but still.

Absolutely no one in this community is stopping you from picking up a programming language and creating your own online multiplayer experience. I don't really buy the whole "this is the only thing we have so worship it" BS attitude. IMO, it sounds like a lazy excuse for not finding a solution to the problem that people seem to so Vehemently complain about. If you don't like the current predicament, do something about it and make a difference. There are far too many resources out there covering game creation in various programming languages, so there should really be nothing holding you back from taking advantage of them.

again. the problem isn't desperation here, it's complete bordum and nothing else to play.when i started to play audiogames i had some thing to play around with. shadow rine, a h c, kommandoh the first and now 2, but those aren't games that capture you for a long time.bts does that cause appart playing the game you socialize. you can do that on sbyw ok, but 1. lag, 2. nofights.

@1035, i'll not play this game anymore. Its already deleted from my HD.And thats precisely why i want main stream fps's such as xonotic to become accessible to blind people.It has custom servers so setting up a server for blind people wouldn't be hard, plus its really, really, really configurable in every single aspect!And its based on quake.I already made a thread about the fact i make an issue on gitlab, and i also kindly ask you to contribute and commend to that issue to make the community devs aware there are more people that want to play besides me

and also.if you come to think of it, in means of 2d fighters we have only bts right now. wish we had the old sbp, yes, old sbp. where rank meant something and where you died and had fun, even when getting spam killed by a player with lotts of health.sbp wasn't unbalanced with the ranks. if you were a soldier and you could kill a very high ranked player you were1. very luky2. a fucking pro3. a very chilly player.on sbp i didn't give a shit if i was killed.  i got a kill... o nice. the second after that i got killed? don't care.but some think that a game where rank gives you some advantage is horrible, noob killing.well, it's not. this isn't the right place to talk about sbp, but since bts is bornd from blood storm and that's basically modern sbp...and last but not least. a suggestion for the wand. you should make it so that you can equip spells to the wand and if you press, idk, b or idk what, it will use that spell and you can open up the spells menu with v and choose one, but if you press shift enter on it that spell would be selected.hope i was usefull or gave you a second thought on this game...

its a free vps that not only do few people play due to the lack of support from tallon, but as well on linux servers i've heard its a hassle and a half to put up, and people don't want to or can't forward ports much because not only do some routers not support it, but some people won't due to the security risks that come with forwarding ports. Home networks aren't built for servers anyway, and at least with the ISP that I have at my house, if we host a server off of it, they take our internet away and make us buy the business package, wich is for businesses meaning it has a lot of things we don't need, and things we can't pay for. While rtr is a good game, I think it's lived its life and at this point should die if i'm being honest. No updates are coming out wich leads to a lot of unfair weapons and lets forget weapon balance, the amount of wall bugs that are in this game are just, wow. they don't even play sounds correctly and have them start over unlike eevery single  other game ever made, wich gets annoying for people who use mods. Like i said, i think its time for rtr to die. It was amazing, and lead to some fun times, friendships for many, and rage for many others, but its lived its life and while I wish it would be updated and fixed, its not going to be.

ok guys, i don't write much in the forum, mainly to avoid drama and shit.yes, drama. i just hate that, and when ever there is some i try to get the hell out.anywhay, back to what i wanted to say.what multyplayer games we have?cp, swamp wich is payed, sbyw wich lags as hell, sorry for saying it, and... the game that i call survive the  *** just quess what's behind that line of stars.so, if bts goes down, we have to choose from the following list. a payed fps wich from what i heared doesn't have much players, a pretty laggy sbyw wich doesn't have fighting for god's sake cause that would cause even more lag, and a minigame / battle card game. the fighting online would be limited to clones, totally.so coming to think of it guys, if you don't want constant waffle to grow up even more, just think twice before saying this game should die.i don't know a thing about the developer status of tunmi, and i don't want to get envolved in to more drama than i'm throwing my self in.but if you come to think of it, clones came for one reason. redpots and the driller left a hole in the comunity, a hole that was imediately filled by nothing more than clones wich for now we're trying to stop.i'm not a saint, i played clones and for now i am not playing them cause i have bts to play around with. but take all the 12 / 15 year old guys in this comuniti, remove the only fighting game they have and what do you think they're going to play?this is what i had to say, and again. i'm not on tunmi's side nor on mohamed's side. i'm just viewing the situation from above, as a rambdom gamer.hope this was some how usefull / made you think a bit, if not and if i've offended anybody i'm sorry.
