How about creating a SAPI to NVDA driver? Basically, you install a SAPI interface that communicates with NVDA and select it in any SAPI program.

Re: Could Jim Kitchin's games possibly get screen reader support

I think the easiest thing to do is to just we-write the games, sort of like a revamp.Mainstream companies have been doing it for a while now.The sounds aren't incripted so that makes things easier, and you could also add features like online play that the originals never had.I certainly wouldn't mind playing golf online. You wouldn't need the source code if you know how the games are suppose to work, so all you would be doing is recreating the games.

Re: Could Jim Kitchin's games possibly get screen reader support

maybe, if someone could get the source code. I remember a phone conversation that I had with Jim back in 2014. He said that the reason he never upgraded from Savi was because he thought he wouldn't be making games complex enough for that, and that also, he thought he wouldn't be making new games and updates to games after 2005, so thought that screen reader support wasn't necessary. As you all might know, JAWS, window Eyes, and Super  Nova were the only widely used screen readers in 2004 and 2005, so, since Pure Basic didn't have the ability to work with JAWS, well enough, it wasn't practical, unlike the DOS ages, where the screen reader read out the command line. Mind you this is basically a summary of  Jim's words from what I can remember, but it's possible. If he wanted to, he could use the old DOS technique, and rout it all to the screen, but that would mean, basically rewriting the whole game, basically.

Could Jim Kitchin's games possibly get screen reader support

Hi,I know unfortunately Jim Kitchin passed away, which is still sad news even now.I'm wondering though if there's a way for these games to get screen reader support, in case sapi could end up dying or something one day.
