Re: Espeak TTS On Android There are three versions of eSpeak on Android that I know of.eSpeak TTS by the Eyes-Free Project: This version starts out high-pitched and speaks really fast by default, and you can't lower the pitch (well, you can, but you can only lower it up to the pitch of the desktop version) and you can only select two voices; male and female. The link to that version if you wish to try it is at https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta … =eneSpeak by Cameron Wong: This version, while based on the Eyes-Free port, will only ever speak in Cantonese, no matter what language you set it to. I believe most of the quirks that are present in the Eyes-Free version apply here, but I'm not too sure. I cannot provide the Google Play link for this version, since I can't find it on Google.eSpeak by Cainteoir Technologies: This version is arguably the superior version. This version, based on the Eyes-Free port, fixes many of the bugs present in that version. Now speed and pitch are correctly handled, so eSpeak on Android sounds like the desktop version. eSpeak itself has been updated from 1.46 from the previous version to 1.48, which adds several more languages and improves on existing ones. You can now select the voice variant, including the standar male, female, klatt, whisper, and NVDA's custom voice variants (Max, Iven, Andy, etc).
