Re: help with google drive If you are using Google Drive in your browser, then you need to be familiar with NVDA's focus mode and whatever other modes it has. Once in focus mode, if you press ? then you will get to keyboard shortcuts help. It's also at the top of the page if you don't find it. Also, for uploading, there's a menu simply labeled "New", just expand that menu and you will have upload folder or file options. That will give you a browse window to get to the file that you want to upload. Simply searching for Google Drive keyboard shortcuts on Google can also help.Additionally, consider using Backup and Sync from Google, it's a google drive client for windows and once set up properly, you will have a google drive folder on your harddrive which will sync to your Google Drive on the web. Find the Backup & Sync icon in your system tray and press enter on it. his should bring up a little window with buttons like settings Press tab and it should tell you the name of the file as well as the percentage uploaded. There's no way to check how fast it's going, so it's either visual or it isn't idsplayed at all. google drive questions about upload status. I am using google drive on my windows computer. I would like to know what NVDA addon lets you see the status of an upload. What I mean is that I have downloaded the google drive app on to my PC. It is the one that just makes it look like their is a google drive option in my file system. How do I check the status of a file I have put in to that google drive I want to know when one of these files is done uploading. Is their a way to do this that any of you know about? Head on over to the gDrive site, and make sure either your screen readers virtual cursor is off or web application key commands are passed through.2. Find the link where the file is, and press A to bring up the actions menu.3. Open the share dialog, tab to Advanced, then tab to change. 3. Tab to the group of radio buttons, and arrow to the public option.4. Tab to and hit the save or ok button which ever is listed there, then copy the link in the share dialog to the clipboard. Though as explained in the article linked above, if ya made an account after October 4th, 2012, you can forget that method... (Least for free users.)Fortunately, youve got Pancake.io and Drop Pages to carry ya along. There are others, though the two I mentioned above are easy to get up and running with without much fuss.Google DriveSince Google technically has Google Sites , and Blogger / Blog Spot , why in the world would ya want to use Google Drive in the f irst place? For one, ya got 15 GB of free space, (though i have 27,) and you can upload files without needing to concentrate on modifying code.For info on how to get up and running with that, please see This tutorial. (Note that you only have to run that script linked on the page, and you can have multiple sites within that one folder.)As for custom domain hosting, since Google Drive itself doesnt provide anything like that, you can either use GWeb (which is a pay per every 3 months service), or GDriv.es (which is a free service.)Other Domain ServicesMany folks like myself love the domains over at Free Nom , though they do not! support path forwarding if using the URL Redirection option. Dropbox hates me, and I dont remember having so many issues downloading things from Google Drive lately, so Im wondering if its worth using Google Drive to store things?Like, are there any serious accessibility issues I should know about? Im using the latest version of firefox and jaws with it. I also found that google sheets is usable for somethings. If all you are going to do is to put data in to a sprid sheet, then google sheets will work ok. Beyond that, Im not to sure about google sheets. As for google docs, I can figure out for the life of me how to edit a doc. I have to take jaws out of the little app mode that it goes into when I bring up google docs just to review the doc, but that means that you cant interact with google docs the attended way. HTH. See, for example, the software package released by Syncronys Softcorp called _SoftRAM for Windows 3.1_, from May of 1995. The company later released SoftRam 95 updated to run on Windows 95. They sold 65 copies of the software, making them over 11 million dollars in one quarter alone.
