As for your first question, you might want to look over here. As for your second question, this might be of use. I have my own reasons for not getting an HD radio. Basicly, you can find more stations depending on the area you are in. As for me, it is a bit over rated. Granted, most if not all of what I am looking for can be found on line or on the local dial and doesnt need the HD stuff to receive. HTH.
