So I'm curious. For the wireless to work, is it necessary to be plugged only into a PS4 or PC, or would XBOX Ones or Switches in docked mode work as well?

Re: I'm looking into the arctis pro wireless, but some questions?

A little late to the show, but I fucking love the arctis pro wireless. Unfortunately I broke mine which was all my fault and no error of the manufacturer.Seriously though, the connection is great, the range is riddiculous ... it penitrated several brick walls ... you are never tethered to any cables unless you want to given the ingenious design of the batteries where the DAC let's you recharge one battery as you use the other, and each battery life holds up to it's stated 10 hours. Should you wish to connect to cable though, it has multiple connection types available. They can be worn for hours and hours without any sort of itching or pressure, and they are honestly the most comfortable headsets I've ever had the pleasure of using. They are great for both home use and travel as they close out background noise very well - of course for studio use I use my open-back headphones, but that's why I had multiple tools for the job.The microphone sounds like absolute garbage but has amazing sound filtering and you aren't gonna use it to sign with it so for hanging out, playing games, it works wonders. The microphone is easily retractable and can be bent to fit various positions in relation to your mouth. The sound is good for being a headset, though as a massive audiophile I prefer headphones for music. I think I might've been a bit tainted from just coming off the Philips Fidelio x2 headset, which is gods choice if you're stationary and love music of all genres. There's the DAC interface. Honestly you can go your entire use of this wonderful headset without ever touching it, say for handling cables and the battery and the initial pairing which is simple. However I did have a look at the PC client which you have to set up with the DAC ... and would require assistance, but once that is complete you should be good to go as it was just a standard web interface like spotify.Honestly, whenever I can afford it, I'll probably buy one again. Right now I'm using the sennheiser 640, which sound good but honestly was a bit of a letdown.Philips Fidelio X2 ... godly snappy sound, great stereo imaging ... really frale so only for home use.Sennheiser 640: more durable than the Fidelio so more portable, and are technically considered better headphones.Arctis pro wireless: gods gift to headsets.

Hi.yeah I gotta agree, the similar 2.4 GHZ and bluetooth connection do sound pritty cool, together with a wireless controler you pritty much have a golden deal here.Thing that would need some research would be how good it sounds when you play music or audio books with it. mostly i listen to different kinds of metal, so I do like the guitars beeing clear and some base would also be awesome.Greetings Moritz

True point. It'll only get good when the XBOX Series X and PS5 are released, not emulating anything.

Re: I'm looking into the arctis pro wireless, but some questions?

Think it comes down to personal preference after a point. For me personally, being able to use both bluetooth/2.4 ghz simultaneously is definitely pretty sexy. I love the idea of the extra battery too. Seriously, if I'm spending that much on a wireless headset then really why should I ever be wired? Honestly the 5.1/7.1 thing hardly entered my mind. Surround sound emulation is just awful across the board. I've personally never been able to get behind it, anyway. You're trying to emulate 5/7 speakers and a sub in 2. What could possibly go wrong? Its a hefty price to spend on a headset, but I very much intend these to be my daily driver for years to come which is really the only way I can soundly justify it. Mic doesn't at all sound like anything that would blow you out of the water, but I've truly never heard what I'd consider a "good" wireless headset mic. Maybe the closest might be the hyper x cloud flight?

Re: I'm looking into the arctis pro wireless, but some questions?

Hi.Hmm, the specs sheet looks promising to be honest, but what I'm still hesitant about is that you have alot of different modes like 5.1 and 7.1 output, but we don't have the games that support this. So, as much as I like what the headset has to offer, what is useable for us?Greetings Moritz.

Re: I'm looking into the arctis pro wireless, but some questions?

I've heard the mic quality on that headset and to be honest, I'm not impressed. However, everything else about it is amazing according to what I've read.I've also heard that the wired version of this headset is much better in terms of sound quality.

Re: I'm looking into the arctis pro wireless, but some questions?

I can't say anything about the wireless version, but I do have the Pro + Gamedac combo that isn't wireless. Super comfy, the mic is pretty okay, but the gamedac is a little bit tricky to get working. I do think it'd be worth the investment for the wireless one, though.

Re: I'm looking into the arctis pro wireless, but some questions?

That's what I figured. Do you have any notes on said menus you're willing to share? Getting a sighted person to help with that shouldn't really be all that much trouble. Do you know if the menus themselves rap?

Re: I'm looking into the arctis pro wireless, but some questions?

Hey,I personally love the Arctis Pro wireless. I got it here and use it since a year now. It's one of the best headsets I ever had. The Steelseries software is pretty accessible. But there are infact some functions you can only manage with the charging station, you may need help once from a sighted person. When you know the options in the menu of the station you can use it yourself.

I'm looking into the arctis pro wireless, but some questions?

So its come that time again, something I really don't want to have to do for years again after all is said and done honestly.I've been looking at some of the hire end options like the arctis pro wireless, Sennheiser GSP670, etc.Particularly in relation to the arctis pro wireless, how accessible are they to manage? I know the charging station has a ton of options (most of which I doubt I really have to touch all that much). Can we access these features through the arctis engine software accessibly? The extra battery is a super attractive option, as well as some of it's monitor options. When I say accessibly, I literally mean at all. If you're able to do all that through OCR even, I'd still be interested to hear about it.Aira is definitely an option now, something which I find I'm using more and more.
