I have this issue and it's even harder for me because it's hard for me to focus, so taking notes is hard, but I have to agree with everyone else here, take lots of notes, and that was a hard habbit to get into, especially for me

I always used to take notes lectures at uni for this reason, since if I was taking notes I'd always have to engage with the material. Another good technique is pacing around if your reading in audio, I used to do this when writing

Hi Pool,my advice would be for you to try to occupy yourself with something. Ideally you probably want to take notes. Try to take a note at least every ten seconds, even if it doesn't seem to be to important. That keeps you awake
