Internet explorer, at least on windows 8.1 is not bad, I use it full time except for sending emails which doesnt seem to be as accessible as I need it to be, so I have to stick with chrome, firefox or thunderbird. On other sites, it works very nicely. I use it on Facebook, youtube, Wikipedia etc. Well, if you are on windows 7, that will probably explode your mind cause win7 comparing to 8.1 is like comparing an old bus to a modern ferari. However, I should agree that windows 7, in terms of accessibility is much more familiar than windows 8.1 because the user interface and the way it is structured its what we became used to in the good old days when the computer was our desired cup of tea, so windows XP was right there. I myself got started using windows vista for one or two weeks and then when windows 7 came out, I bought my own computer instead of using the laptop of my friend to learn how to use it. I never, but never loved windows XP and by the time I sat on an XP d evice, life was worsened to an incredible extent. For about six years I used windows 7, and about 7 months ago windows 7 started crashing and hanging and lagging and freezing so much. I upgraded to windows 8.1 pro and I could make out the differences. Now this computer doesnt crash as much as it used to, and I could finally get back to internet explorer. I vastly prefer windows 7 to windows 8.1, but thats personal of course. lol My laptop with windows 8.1 on it has been buggy and steadily getting more and moreso. Upgrading to windows 10 fixed some, but I am going to do a clean install and start fresh. Re: IE not displaying the site correctly? The only hardbreaking bug I could find here is when the laptop wont turn off and it stays in a state of neither on nor off. If you think that after a long time it will shut down, no, youre wrong, only god knows when it will. I clicked shut down on my PC and I left it on a table with the lit opened and it never turned off. Untill six hours later when I got back I was unaware that my laptop had been neither on nor off all the time, but when I pressed the power button to turn it on, it didnt, how could it? the battery was at 0%! Other times a bug that may occur is when a local user may prompt you to enter the password. Who on this earth set a password for my user, yet, only god knows. IE not displaying the site correctly? Running the latest version of IE on windows 7. But for some reason the forums dont display correctly, and I dont see the lists of things like log in info, when the last post was made to a topic, stuff like that. Anyone got a clue?
