Re: Many links broken in the DB Funny, last I checked their site they didnt do mobile games, just various mobile accessibility things for windows mobile. Unfortunately I dont have a windows mobile myself so cant do any testing of these. its sad they dont make games for Pc anymore, and even sadder that their initial games like Time adventures have dropped off the map, indeed back in 2006 I e-mailed them about where to buy their games after playing the demo versions of Time adventures and Alien invasion, (I was quite interested in time adventures), but they never got back to me. Can safely say that their nokia games work well on my Nokia n86 at least...Since Mobile Speak supported phones and tablets continue to work with the games, and since Mobile Speak for the phones is only $25 from the nokia OVI store, well... I actually didnt know Code factory still made games at all, even for such a little used platform as windows mobile and nokia. Shame they couldnt get into the Ios market, or maybe android as something like time adventures or private detective school would be a very nice game for long train journies, the way the Ticon blu adventure titles are now. Re: Many links broken in the DB The problem Burak is Im not sure exactly what the status of these is, plus anyone who bought the key generator will have the demos already anyway, not to mention it would be dam frustrating for someone to download the demo of hunter or pipe 2, play it for 15 days, have it perminantly expire and then never be able to play it again without reformatting their compunter, and not be able to buy the full game. I will fix both of these, but call me petty, but given the recent news update I dont want to start deleting game pages until ive added some more to take their place .I will however see if I can sort these out over the next few days. The download link leads to the dropbox folder with all the different versions for Windows, mac and Linux, sinse there are so many alternatives it didnt seem right just to pick the one.Ill see about removing the pages for snake and the older version of Agrip later as I said. I agree that justin has done very much the wrong thing in terms of not making the keygen available, however the problem is the games are still legally his and theoretically he could sue us for distributing the keygen. That is why i cant really add download links to the games or the Keygen in the db, no more than I could add download links to the games by code factory or bavisoft. Its a difficult one, and really justin Shouldnt have been such a git about it. Yes, I completely agree with you, and since we don't post cracks or illegal products here, those things shouldn't be updated. But if Justin said that he has no problem posting the keygen, it'll be another case. But there are some other new things: for example, BGT is now free, and X-wheel and River Raidor are abandonware... And there are many games that have their links broken. And concerning L-works arcade and L-works words and Pigeon pannic and every game you want, I'm ready to post them forever, and not with temporarely links: I know a site that can post forever, and for free. Re: Many links broken in the DB Well the basic problem with updating the db, is that for the past feww weeks its not been possible to edit due to some shenanigans with the security measures that Sander added after the hack attack. Now that is fixed I will start making updates as and when I can, including updating X wheel, Bgt , time of conflict etc. I actually do! wish Justin would make the Bsc games abandonware and either post the keygen up himself or at least allow others to do so. Unfortunately however he hasnt, and I know lots of people are pretty cross with him over this which is fare enough.if you want to perminantly host Freeware or abandoneware games, feel free and just pass on the links, however I would suggest you first check several sites such as http://www.usagamesinteractive.com/ http://www.x-sight-interactive.net/ and http://www.bladestorm360.net/ to make sure what your hosting isnt hosted elsewhere. Also note that if its not abandonware or freeware as I said, we cant host it. lastly make dam sure the hosting is perminant sinse the last thing I want to do is be having to change the damnable links later on. As regards downloads from the wayback machine, well the problem with that for someone like Bsc is that there wouldnt be a legal way to get the codes for the games so downloading the setup files from wayback wouldnt really help much, youd just have a demo which worked for 15 days and then cut out. Its really Bscs fault for not properly supporting their games as abandonware, but we cant really do anything about that. I know that some cumpanies closed their doors, but there is always a way to download their products. 1- BSC for example have their site and files on the wayback machine at web.archive.org. Those are permanent links, because the goal of this machine is to preserve old sites and files permanently. So you can change the link.2- X-sight interactive also closed. Damien Pendleton, the owner of x-sight, has all of his old games to download and play free of charge (even x-wheel) as abandonware. The link ishttp://dcpendleton.co.uk3- L-works stopped supporting some old games such as pigeon pannic, l-works arcade, and l-works word, so they remove their download link from their site.
