Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime
Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime yeah for sure, PotPlayer can do that, so just go ahead and give it a try. Although you'll have to configure one or two things with PotPlayer to get it going. Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime
Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime I'm curious if Crunchyroll will ever have any tokusatsu available, preferably Kamen Rider or Ultraman, but from what I've heard they don't. I can't say I've ever heard of Pot Player, I'll have to give it a try. Reading subs with a screen reader is preferable to just reading them with SAPI IMHO. Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime
Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime PotPlayer is my way to go as well. Downloading from Crunchyroll (with a subscription of course) is a thing too with YouTube-dl being there, it can download and embed the subs too, so you can watch almost any anime which you can find on Crunchyroll just fine. Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime
Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime I meant more that with KM player I never found a way to have it stop reading or keep going, especially for some files I had where it seemed to reread the same dialog multiple times for whatever reason. lol But I definitely make use of it occasionally still. Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime
Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime Well, I will just say, most places where they hosted subs and Anime are either voluntarily or otherwise shutting down. So, yeah! And BTW, KM player worked just fine. Just slap on eSpeak, turn up the rate to 100, and the speech will keep up with the dialog. I've never heard of Lion, but if this thing is supposed to do a similar thing, then it's worth trying with more quote, legal, end quote, sources. lol URL: https://forum.audiogames.net/post/583176/#p583176 -- Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector
Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime
Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime Well, it does not necessarily have to be free. However, I am not aware of any way to download episodes even if you are paying. For a good media player though, pot Player is able to read subtitles, and can do it through your screen reader as well, the only problem is you will need the actual file with subtitles and can't just do it directly through the video. Lion does, though using OCR, and I have no idea how accurate or effective this will be as I have not tried. Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime
Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime There is no such thing as a legal way to download anime for free. That's an oxymoron... if you are getting anything that has a price tag without paying for it, that's technically illegal. Again. Unless, something is actually supposed to be freely available. KM player works as well, but Lion is your best option if you want any control over when speech starts and stops. KM player's tts support is half baked at best. Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime
Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime I'll probably be giving myself away here, but Naruto Shippuden is one of those series that if you don't want to go through questionable means to watch with accessible subs, then you might as well not watch it. All I will say, because I don't want to get into trouble, is that I used KM Player and found the Subs online in .mkv format. After learning and pretty much speaking fluent Japanese, I resorted to Hulu, where I didn't need subs so much anymore. Also, I wonder if CrunchyRoll has improved it's accessibility on which this Lion addon will work? Highly doubt it! Well, I should have started by saying that they have, or used to have at least, a good portion of Naruto available on Netflix. Of course this depends on country.Anyway, best of luck. Re: Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime netflix doesn't have naruto shippuden in other countrys then canada I think, and they don't even have the hole thing. The downloads are DRM protected, so you can only play them via netflix itself URL: https://forum.audiogames.net/post/583113/#p583113 -- Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime
Media Players that Read Subtitles, and a Legal Way to Download Anime Hello folks.I've recently been getting into Naruto and Kamen Rider (well, researching is a better word to describe my interest in the latter) and I need an easy-to-use media player to read video subtitles on Windows and Mac.I've heard the LION NVDA add-on could do this, but I don't know how well it works with, say, VLC, let alone in a virtual machine. Also, a legal way to download anime and Tokusatsu without resorting to nefarious means would be nice. Otherwise, the media player wouldn't be very useful, now would it?
