Re: Mixing and Mastering Vocals
Re: Mixing and Mastering Vocals Yes, because Reaper is a more powerful multitrack recorder than audacity. Also, f opens the fx chain for a track, which will allow you to load plugins. Re: Mixing and Mastering Vocals Hello,Sure Jack, I know what plug-ins I should use when mixing the vocals. But , I've never used Reaper, don't know how to load those VST's, how to record my voice, how to upload my instrumental, etc. Also, can I make it so that I can record while the program plays back the instrumental in my headphones? Audacity can do that and this is a feature I would really love to see in Reaper as well. Re: Mixing and Mastering Vocals
Re: Mixing and Mastering Vocals Reaper. Absolute minimum mastering chain usually consists of h-EQ (6 band EQ), VComp for compression, and either H-Reverb or Abbey Road plates. If needed, an exciter goes before the reverb, and then Ozone Imager works wonders for stereo imaging. Oh, and if you're mastering on headphones, you are definitely going to want Abbey Road Studio3. Basically turns your headphones into a control room so you can reference your mix the way it was intended. Mixing and Mastering Vocals Hi,As some of you may know, I'm a singer. I do all my covers with Audacity, though it only supports 32bit VST's, and that's kinda bad for my works, as I would like to use Antares autotune, Waves plugins or whatever that only supports 64bit. So, what do you guys recomend me for mixing and mastering vocals? And could you please share a detailed guide on how to do it on that certain software? Thanks.
