Betas of NVDA have been done away with for some time now, surely you mean the first release candidate which will come out in the coming week. Snapshots (I recommend Master) are also available to download.

@ogomez92, unfortunately, most of these addons on your web site are not yours. This is an act known as plagiarism and is illegal in the united states. If you know Python, start making addons that are, indeed, yours, and perhaps Ill consider your web site again as a potential addon database.

As to their funding falling off, maybe in general but someone donated 10,000 Australian dollars to them, this I know via the @nvaccess twitter. Second, yes I did encounter the OpenOffice spell checker inaccessibility.

@defender, Im not even going to read the entire post you wrote (post 14). [[wow]]. I didnt know you could articulate your words so professionally, or eloquently define your words so diligently. Can I take professionalism lessons from you next time class starts?Your response about me telling ogomez92 that his addons was plagiarism was kind of passed the line. How am I supposed to know that ogomez92 is Orial gomez, defender? His username gives absolutely no hint that hes Orial gomez. Your words were excellently defined and well-spoken, but the way you worded it made it sound like you are a political big money person, just like those people in the courts and government offices. Perhaps your in the house of commons, or congress itself? Youd do good, because you are a very expressive and articulative person when it comes to politicalism. Hmmm. I wonder if you went to law school, too? Yes. That sounds about right, since the way you worded post 14 makes it s
ound like you are a political ass hole who doesnt care about anything but money, just like the other political ass holes out there.

Id like to see the ability to quickly disable and reenable a addon without fully reinstalling it after removing it just to get it to stop doing what it does for the time being.Id also like to see better support for the spell check dialog in Open Office, one of the major reasons Id like to use that program in the first place is because otherwise Id need to buy word to get a decent spell checker, and the fact that NVDA boasts compatibility, but hasnt really focused on anything but the Microsoft Office sweet of applications in that particular department for the past few versions is disappointing.NVAccess needs to start working on their RAM footprint now, before, NVDA was so much less resource heavy than Jaws and Window Eyes, that it was never even a real concern, but now, as newer versions of Jaws and Window Eyes get ever lighter, and other free screen readers are strutting their stuff, NVDA is falling behind, getting bigger eve
ry release instead of smaller. I feel that a great deal of this problem stems from the fact that NVDA is not natively 64Bit at this time, as well as the fact that, based on the current number and importance of changes that have been made in the last 6 months or so, I believe that NVDAs funding is starting to fall off, or that there is less time being devoted to the project, possibly both. This is extremely unfortunate for several reasons, but also bars the team from aquiring the proper libraries for such a change.A way to quickly switch between the soundcards that NVDA can come through on the fly would be appreciated by more than just a few users. Finally, I would like to see the migration of settings, and the creation its self, of portable versions of NVDA, enhanced for greater speed.

Id like to see the NVDA RAM usage go down by at least 2 to 4 percent. It takes up about 49.51953125 MB of RAM, which, in my case, is nothing.Id also like to see the ability for NVDA to be able to use all office applications. Also, a good feature would be a built-in window and control class manager, sort of like JAWS has. It would also help if we had something like JAWS ahs with JaWSKey+f1. That would be nice.

Re: NVDA 2015.1 - TheCountdown Begins

Id like to see the ability to disable a plugin without fully reinstalling it after removing it just to get it to stop doing what it does for the time being.Id also like to see better support for the spell check dialog in Open Office, one of the major reasons Id like to use that program in the first place is because otherwise Id need to buy word to get a decent spell checker, and the fact that NVDA boasts compatibility, but hasnt really focused on anything but the Microsoft Office sweet of applications in that particular department for the past few versions is disappointing.NVAccess needs to start working on their RAM footprint now, before, NVDA was so much less resource heavy than Jaws and Window Eyes, that it was never even a real concern, but now, as newer versions of Jaws and Window Eyes get ever lighter, and other free screen readers are strutting their stuff, NVDA is falling behind, getting bigger every release instead o
f smaller. This is extremely unfortunate for several reasons, but also bars the team from aquiring the proper libraries for such a change.A way to switch between soundcards on the fly would be appreciated by more than just a few users. Finally, I would like to see the migration of settings, and the creation its self, of portable versions of NVDA, enhanced for greater speed.

NVDA 2015.1 - TheCountdown Begins

Later this month, NVDA 2015.1 will be released. Several improvements to Skype for desktop, including announcement of typing and other notifications, and keyboard shortcuts for reviewing past messages. Browse mode will be available for Word documents and Outlook messages, and Internet Explorer functionality will be greatly improved. What are some of the features you would like in NVDA 2015.2?

Re: NVDA 2015.1 - TheCountdown Begins

I want it to read incoming chat automatically in Skype. Other than that, hmm... maybe bring in an official OCR thing, since the add-on does not work well at all.
