Every api has limited calls currently, so yes, the basic tier having limited calls is nothing new - however I think they did say that the limits will be loosened some.A realtime stream is constant, not manual pulls to refresh like they are now.

Hi everyone,With more digging, I found everything said here to be confirmed, The Verge confirmed this.One thing it did say though, was that the API will limit how many times it can be called on the basic tier. Wasn't this the case before as well

Hello,Sure, Twitter may be taking a risk here. But again, paid levels will be used, they know this or they wouldn't have taken the time to put it out. Twitter studies and analytics are constant in corporate America. They will regenerate the revenue

@5It's not about what endpoint is where. I guess only time will tell. But third party clients actively lose them money and the few things you absolutely have to have to do third party clients aren't of value to the people who make them money.

Apparently, from what Manuel (the developer of TW blue ) said on Twitter, yes, the streaming functionality should be back. Hopefully we see it updated in the near future.
