Re: Reaper Recording Issue
@mahedee, When using WASAPI, NVDA speach stops, and I can hear crackles in the playback and performing of instruments.Direct Sound puts me back to square one, in that the recording is still before the metronome in playback.@Jack, Where can I find the option
Re: Reaper Recording Issue
hello, removing FLStudio doesn't remove ASIO driver. it has a separate item in programs and features although it installs with FL.

Re: Reaper Recording Issue
Asio4all is a solution, yes, but FL Studio's Asio driver is a hell of a lot better and does not hog up your soundcard like Asio4all does. And I cannot speak for uninstalling fl studio getting rid of asio or not, but it's probably best to keep it installed
Re: Reaper Recording Issue
But then what did @Jack mean by getting ASIO with FLStudio? Is that just some sort of driver? How would that not be supported by my soundcard?

Re: Reaper Recording Issue
If your soundcard doesn't support ASIO natively, then getting ASIO4ALL would be your best try, go here: ASIO4ALL

Re: Reaper Recording Issue
@jack, Not that I'm against grabbing FLStudio, but is there a way I can get ASIO by itself? I mean, I didn't even know I could install it myself until now. I take it that when I choose to uninstall FLStudio, ASIO will remain? Also, thanks so much guys! I'll try

Uncheck use audio driver reported latency. Also, get asio, you can get it by downloading the trial of FL Studio.

Re: Reaper Recording Issue
Do you have to? Well, it depends on what you want to do. But basically, no, if you're doing something and it works, you're fine. But you'll probably have a lot better results, if you want to do anything serious, with an actual audio interface. You can get them
Re: Reaper Recording Issue
Hello,For your first question, reaper tries to know the latency of your sound card and shift your recording so if you heard it in time but it was actually not, it would be fixed when you play. Please keep in mind it's my understanding in accordance to certain
Re: Reaper Recording Issue
No, I'm not. Will I have to?Also, when creating a new track and playing on the virtual MIDI keyboard, both instruments play from the two tracks. Why is this?

Reaper Recording Issue
Hi community,I'm currently trying to record a virtual instrument in Reaper, but when I play back the recording, my notes are significantly before the metronome, even though I'm almost on time during the actual recording process. It's almost as if Reaper is shifting
