Oh the levelYeah I need to fix that. I had set the level as a short variable so you couldnt go above level 255, it was actually done to save memory, I never thought  people would reach those levels. hahaI need to make that game harder...

I had to dig way back to find this topic, but I found an interesting bug today while playing. It had been ages since I picked up the game, and I was determined to post a score that was at least in the top 5 on the server. So I was doing well until I got to level 255. I had just defused a bomb, and that made my score go up enough that I levelled up. Well, when that happened, it said that I was at level 0. I then couldn't move at all. Every time I did, I got hit by cars until I died, and the musical notes that indicate movement didn't play at all. So I posted my score, and it actually says on the server that I was at level 0, lol.I just thought I'd share this interesting experience. I don't know if it was the bomb timer that freaked out or if you simply can't go past level 255 in this game. Oh, and the million bug that was present in Beatstar until recently is in this game as well. You can't hear how many roadcoins you have if you have over a mil
 lion of them.

Hi,the game is really fun, but I have to aggree it becomes way too easy if you spent some coins on upgrades.In my last game I played to level 140 and basically broke the game, too. The game told me I got 1 points, but I got number 17 or something on the scoreboard. And it says I only have 5 roadcoins, but I can keep buying and buying stuff in the shop forever, so that the game now is kind of infinite for me, since Im way too upgraded to ever die.

One thing Ive noticed is that the S key for checking your score seems to be defunct. Though I did find something else by accident thanks to pressing the wrong key, namely D. What does D do? is that something from the debug? It talks about cars passing and You can enter in a number, so I thought it might let you generate cars or something, but that doesnt seem to be the case.Im still terribly bad at disarming the bombs...Also cant believe people have the motivation to get to level 200+. Although I dont suppose its hard when you bump up your lucky cross chance.

Hello,Im not surprised that Death On The Road is your most popular game so far, and I think diservedly so.I have one question about beatstar: could it be possible for us to add our own packs? If each pack is unlocked with five thousand beatcoins, cant you just have an array that calculates the packs in the folder, and adds the unlockable pack name to the shop, with a filename preview.ogg for the shop menu? I actually think this would make things very unique indeed, because once the person gives everyone their pack, everyone would then have to unlock it too!

Btw oriol, I have a theory as to why quicktap is ran so much less. In roadsplat, you play a game and then you get bored so you exit the game. In run for your life, you play a game or two, then your fingers get tired so youq uit the game. In quick tap, you play a whole bunch of games without quitting. So it has fewer game runs, but people probably play about as m nay games as the other two. What do you think?

After resetting and playing some more, I think its the lucky cross more than anything that throws things out of line. Wwen I was able to move that all the way up to 100, I really started to rake in the millions of points. Really amused that you actually used the Blind Crew song in the game.

Hay! Ive been playing for an hour or so, an realised that a menu to hear the different car sounds could be added, and each one could be unlocked as you find it in the game.said menu could also add the shooting sound; once shot, and even itunes and amazon mp3 links for the cars that play songs!Also, bomb time should cap out at about 30 seconds , max health at about 500, and lucky crossing at about 50% or so.cars also should stop coming if a car gets shot, so that we can actualy hear the new cars when they come instead of trying to listen for them over the death sound of the car that was shot.also, a milion sample should be added so the game can actually say scores and coin amounts over 1 million.Thats all!

Sadly, I cannot play this game because it says please wait until the MOTD is downloaded, but the motd1.ogg file always gets stuck at the same size, 197 KB and that song keeps repeating. I tried hitting keys like space, control, enter etc. to skip it and of course nothing worked. Where I am at currently, I sometimes encounter periods where I dont have an Internet connection, so for the game to assume that everybody always has one is unfair and apparently, the server that the .OGG file is being pulled from is iffy. Please at least allow a key or key combination to be used to skip this requirement. Thanks.

Im glad to see that this game has been updated, and that the bugs that were in the older versions appear to have been ironed out.One thing Ive noticed, and maybe its deliberate, is that its damn near impossible to get ammo now. Why cant you buy it in the shop? Blowing up cars used to be my favorite part of the game.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I do read posts.2.as a matter of fact, the game checks if you have an internet connection available before downloading message of the day of course.I dont know why your download stays at 197kb. My server works perfectly and I do not know anyone else who has the issues you are having. If you can tell me how to reproduce the error you are encountering I will be happy to do it and try to fix it.

I dont know how you could reproduce the error. It seems, from this end, something server-side because other downloads work fine and go at over 1 Megabyte per second. I will try disabling Internet and see if I can then play without it downloading the MOTD, but that means I would only be able to play when I am not connected to the Internet, which would be ok I guess. As far as deleting the file to save space, Im sure its not that large so that wouldnt even be an issue. I would just download it and leave it in the folder, but I cant even get that far it would seem. I just tried it again and it got stuck at 241 KB this time and I let it sit there, refreshing the folder several times until the song ended for the first time. This isnt any sort of thing that would generate a log file, so I have no idea. I apologize for my earlier comment. It was not meant to throw his hard work in his face. Think of it like this. Two people post about two different iss

Hello. I agree with the other postrs, the items should be harder to earn in the shop, or just put a limit on how much you can buy. i have like 1300 health, and i want to reset it but i cant. That is what mmakesv the game endlessly going and i just sometimes want to lose leatlth to try and get a game over. so either put my maximum health to like 500, i mean everyone, or add a clear saved data option. Thank you in advannce.

after honing my skills and stats, my highest score got me to position 34 on the scoreboard. Im not gonna try and go higher because I was guessing someone probably cheated and made there high score 1 million which is sad but meh its in human nature I suppose.

Someone has to have been cheating. If you look at the scoreboards there are people with 3 milllion points who havent even passed level 35.In fact I dont think this game is really good for posting scores, especially since you could theoretically buy an infinite amount of health and never actually lose the game.More weird things Ive found:You can only get a lucky cross when crossing the road forward, not backward.Ammo in your gun doesnt reset when you start a new gameif you get run over by a car, it is still there. So if you are impatient and hold the up arrow to keep moving, youll get run over. You can also hold the control key down when it is telling you your health to get a guaranteed hit on the car that hit you.You can increase your lucky cross chance percentage to over 100%. Just for kicks I increased mine to 109%.The shop needs some really really expensive items, like that costs 25 road coins. I playe
 d a game, gained 183000 road coins and bought 30 seconds of bomb time, and incrased my starting health to 370.Suggestions for items (These will probably be really over the top/random/wild):sledgehammer cane (40 rc): if you are crossing the street and a car is about to hit you you can press the enter key and if the car is panned at least to -50 in the stereo field, I E halfway on your left, the sledgehammer will smash and destroy it. Destroying the car with a sledgehammer should not give points though.caffiine rush (75000 rc): you can store these up for later. When you hit c, your movement speed will be doubled for 9 seconds.Free bomb disarm (35000 rc): if you get a bomb item, you can use this to instantly disarm it, so that you dont lose health. You do not gain points or rc when you disarm a bomb.traffic jam (20 rc): causes a traffic jam for 12 seconds allowing you to cross the street as many times as possible unimpeded.

First of all, so happy to have this game back. I wasted a bunch of my day playing this but Im OK with that.I like the coins system, but think it needs to be adjusted somewhat.After playing 3 or 4 times, I had enough coins to max out movement and get to 600 health with 101 percent magic cross. So either the coins should be harder to get, the costs should be more, or perhaps some combination of the two. Id also suggest a maximum health bonus at maybe 300 and maximum magic cross. The time after that, I ended up with 5 million coins and could get up to 10,000 health. Of course this makes the game a bit silly to play at this point. BTW, numbers beyond a million dont read properly.Some other minor things.If you are killed and try to press up arrow immediately after that, sometimes you are killed again. It seems as if all of the pointers arent being reset fast enough.After level 30 or 40, the cars stop getting faster. If its po
 ssible to keep getting move and other bonuses, I think the cars should still get faster as well, or have less time between them. Otherwise, its possible to get to an infinite number of levels. By the time I was at level 100, I was moving across within a quarter of a second or so.Same goes for bombs. Would be cool to see them more difficult beyond 8 numbers at some insanely high level.How about a few more items in the shop, like extra seconds for the shield when it appears?Love the new cars, including the new cheesy music cars. Rick Astley is still my favorite though.If youre just going for points, you could just sit around and let all of the cars go by and collect bonuses as they appear. Perhaps bonuses should only appear after you successfully cross?Had one time where I started the game and was at drunk slow speed for the entire game. The drunk bonus actually slowed me down even more. Obviously that particular game didnt last long
