i've got like 54 defense, and the turrets still do like 10 12 dmage, each time they hit me, sure jumping works, but there getting hits. and the droans, take like 1 damage, and that adds up. lol.

There is more to 3.3 than jumping. You need to be jumping pretty much all the time, but there is also a fair bit of platforming especially in the first bit.I had to play that stage about 30 times before I could complete it successfully. You need to explore with your camera to know the layout. This will probably slow you down too much to complete the level on time, but if you memorize the platforming, you won't need to use your camera in future and you can just breeze through it.Even if you know the way and do it as fast as you can, you'll probably only get through it in the nick of time. on my best runs, I only have like 15 seconds left. So it's a challenge!For now I won't provide any spoilers, but if you insist, I will.

I know you said you completed it, but here is my strategy in case anyone needs it:spoilerIf you get the weapon in 2.2, it's almost too easy to complete 2.3.I usually stay put at position 100 and shoot the soldiers as they come. When the drones come, I either just take the damage, or try to get away. Then again, I can usually get my defense to around 45 before I reach that point (the last time I played I had 60 defense), so I guess that helps.I guess approaching the turrets and jumping a lot is an effective strategy to avoid most of their gunfire, and I think the cut scene says you might be able to lure the soldiers into the turrets and kill them that way, but I've never tried that.

Dang, I beat the demo. Level 3.3 was quite a tricky one! I really do hope the explosion still can't get you while that door opening sound plays as you go through. That would suck if it could, but judging how evil the game has been, it wouldn't surprise me either way at this point.The unlocking of difficulty levels is quite an interesting one! Nice, I finally made it past level 1.3. I finally realized that standing on the trucks is indeed the way to go, because the enemies can't hurt you while you're above the ground. I stay near the left truck for most of the fight since the guys on that side aren't as dangerous.While I feared 2.3, I found it was indeed a joke if you get the right weapon. That said, things can still screw you up bad there, so I'm almost scared to try it with a weaker weapon.I love how at the beginning of 3.1, they let you keep your equipment, not as an act of mercy or anything, but to make an example, to show you that no matter what you have, they don't think you'll make it out. cocky for sure, but it's a good excuse to let me keep my stuff, and the line does feel epic in my little brain.The wheel is pretty neat; spinning in slow circles is quite fun, and the grinding of gears is eerily relaxing, though I imagine the sensation of being in that thing for too long would make one dizzy. They certainly take some getting used to, just as everything in this game does, but if new mechanics continue to be introduced at this rate, I wonder what will come next. I mean, there may be less new stuff as the game goes on since there's only so much you can do, but getting excited to see what will eventually come of it isn't a bad thing.Believe it or not I'm on 3.2, and am just taking a break; I fully intend to come back and finish it, but man that platforming is tough! I should probably start over so I can get more continues or something. Totally dreading 3.3.

So there's gi's coming out of both trucks, just sit on the left truck and get invinsable and then go down coming from the other truck. and they can't hit you. and sometimes they drop weapon like the shotgun. i can't remember what it was called. but it was pritty cool. that's how i did it, and just keep doing it.

Hey all,I heard about this game from a friend, and decided to check it out! I'm not really familiar with typical beat-em-up stuff, so this is kind of new to me. Therefore, I can't comment a lot on whether the game's way of doing things is good or bad, at least not in comparison to how quality classic beat-em-ups work.It took me a while to figure out how the partial invincibility and the throwing enemies across the screen thing worked, but now I get it. The latter is especially fun, and the fact that both can level your stats does make for some strategy in fairly safe areas when enemies are around. Getting invincible and then throwing enemies around during the invincibility state is a blast lolSomething I'm not 100 percent sure I understand is the rage meter and the partial invincibility. The invincibility is awesome, but I'm not sure if it ties into the rage meter at all. I guess my question is, what exactly is the rage meter? Is it just a way of measuring how close you are to invincibility, or is it something else?At first, I had this idea that while the invincibility came fairly quickly, the rage meter built up more slowly somehow, but yeah... I'm a tiny bit confused, but I think I'm overthinking it. I often do that.I'm afraid I can also join the stuck at 1.3 club.  I'm trying to use my PMC44, because I collected it in level 1 (that momentum mechanic is quirky but really fun to work with). Maybe the PMC44 isn't a good weapon choice; there are other weapons in the level I know, but the readme says that the PMC44 can work well though it is risky. The mg anyway is pretty awesome, but doesn't seem to give you enough ammo to get the job done... and when I'm dealing with hoards of dangerous enemies, worrying about the differences in weapons without having a chance to get a feel for them is quite hard to do. Not complaining, just a bit frustrated that it's so hard to come up with a fullproof strategy.The strategy I'm trying right now is to stand very close to the left truck, then become invincible, then when I see that the gunners are closing in, I switch to my sidearm. This works for a while... but then I run into one of two problems: I have to reload which leaves me very vulnerable, or I can't find an enemy to keep the invincibility up. In either case, it wears off at the worst of times, and I end up getting smashed and not knowing what to do about it, other than spray and prey, then I get caught reloading anyway. So even if I do get into a sort of rhythm (which I only manage about 1/3 of the time), I still end up having to break out of it for various reasons and getting pulverized in the process. I'm going into this with roughly 40 attack and defense, so I don't think that's necessarily the problem.I'm not sure if the key to staying alive is to totally cheese the invincibility and don't let it wear off under any circumstances. I tried that, and sometimes it does work for a while, but again as soon as that rhythm gets thrown off (and it always does), I'm like a deer in headlights not knowing what to do other than spray and prey.I feel like there is a way, and I've read this thread from front to back and got some interesting ideas, but yeah. Something in my brain just isn't clicking in a way that makes me think I can make this work. And then I have to go to level 1.2 if I die. I mean I can see why to a point... if the game saved at 1.3, the lives or chances or whatever they are would be pretty pointless as you could always just continue from the main menu after you failed.I'm really excited to play more of this game, but I am dreading it too. People who struggled with 1.3 are having even more trouble later on, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle it. Then again, I say that about a lot of games, and end up progressing much farther than I initially thought I could, so I'm hoping this won't be any different. Once I get an instinctive feel for how to react to situations in a game, I'm normally okay, but it is such an elusive thing for me to develop.In any case, I'm super glad the kickstarter goal was reached! I look forward to playing this in the future, but I'll be even more stoked after I beat the demo, that way I'll actually have my sights on new content when the full version comes out lol

Wow, that truck level is hard as heck! I can't seem to get past it with out dying. Doesn't  she have a faster way of healing besides the not getting hurt for 15 seconds? I've gotr my defense  jup to about 18 but my attack is 17 and the guns don't really cause my attack level to go up, and the running jump kicks don't seem to make differences either. Can we see how much we have to go before raising her level maybe? Also, I forgot to say this in my podcast, but the logo needs a way to be able to be passed. It's a bit long ish to me, but now i"m just being a nit pick. I will get past level 1.3 at some point.

Hello. depending on how much strength you have you can beat that level the 2.3 my atack power was 89 and my defense was 88 and i killed the soldiers. and as far as the drones i stood in one spot and they didn't do to much dammage and i was able to survive. hope that helps.

Same hear. i  can kind of avoid the droans they kinda follow me sometimes i fiel like. but wen they come to dive bomb me i  jump to the left or rite, now i  jump to the left because i think there are less turrets over there but sometimes  i  get awway from the droans and then the turrets just push me back to ware the droans are dive bombing... I  can't get away and you can't even destroy though's things so i  donno.

Hello i am in 2.2 part of the game where you have to kill the soldiers and get passed the torens or whet ever they are called, and i can kill the solders when i hear the 4 tones and i can get passed the things that fly over you but i just can't get passed the torens. so i was wondering how to get passed those waves thanks hope i am explaining things right lol. thanks.

Personally, I hope PC ultimately decides to add even a tiny bit of a voice cast to the game. Omar's KS goal was well-surpassed, and I'm not too proud to say I contributed something to that. We've needed a game like this since AGs were in their infancy. As I've said, Danger City could have been the first, but this should definitely give the AG community something to smile about. I'm mostly fine with the SFX myself, although if they can be upgraded that's certainly no bad thing. I wouldn't mind more combat usables than side arms, though. I think that's my biggest suggestion. I liked being able to use a lead pipe in DC, and perhaps the ability to pick up and throw things like pieces of wood, boxes/crates, or even rocks wouldn't be amiss with me. Not required, mind you, but just a thought.

The gun sounds are quite good. But the melee sound effects, presumably because this is still only a concept demo, could be better. Punches use the same two or three sounds, and they sound very plasticky. And I definitely would not say they're the best I've ever heard in an audio game. But again, this is a concept demo, and I'm hoping some of the kickstarter money will be investment in higher quality sounds.

Hi.Found a rather annoying bug.When I'm punching people, and I press the d key, to examine the area that's around me, my rage meter resets, or, at least, the rage timer runs out, even though I'm in pause mode.Can you please fix this?Thanks.

I've gotta be honest, I don't feel there needs to be any changes to the way combat is done in the game.I mean, the way your rage meter and attack and defense stats are built up.  I have no trouble with the way you've set that system up.Like I said before, I'd like a hotkey to tell you how much time you have left before I stop being invincible, and I like the idea of pressing escape to get back to the menu when you die instead of pressing enter to respawn.The main changes I'd like to see is the weapon system. It would be nice if you were able to carry more than one weapon, but there would be a limit depending on the size and wait of the weapon.Cheers.

small idea kind of thing. in stage 1 2, you should be able to partially destroy the wooden crates with punches / shoot the metal ones till they break. would add that little fun to the game, with some stuf that can be demolished.

Hello.Here are some of the changes I'd like to see.1. a hotkey you can press to see how much invincible time you've got left.2. a way to skip the intro chapters at the start so you can  jump right into the first gang battle3.  When you press and hold down g to use your camera, and press c to find out what your coordinates are, the coordinates don't change with your camera.This would definitely help on those tricky levels, especially 2.1Thanks.

If I die in 3.3 due to the building self-destructing, I don't have another chanse, even if I had like 3 chanses before the beginning of that level. I'm so curious about what happens at the ending but I think I won't play further until something is done about this.

@mojsiorTry gaining rage by punching the guys on the left truck before jumping down and shooting.  The closer you are to the right side edge before hitting them the better, because you won't have much invincibility time and you need to use it well.And no you can't destroy the trucks.

just some quick ideas. instead of the kick that sends people flying, wich... probably is possible but not totally realistik, how about a grab sequence? like, you grab the guy and throw him?and some bug thingy i've found in stage 2 2.how to get the bug 1. when you start the stage, get the weapon really close to that mine, i think it's past 60.2. die by any thing, be it mine, drone, or turret.3. the weapon now turned in to a mine.it happens only with that weapon

go to the tree on the right and climp up than you should check a left edge with the camera when to jump.You need to teaming your jump, because you can fall down if your jump and run is so long.Sometimes you need to use jumping with running if a platform is about five step from the edge

now, I have another problem. Yes, I now know that some of the weapons are achievable, but some others are just too high to reach or something. For example, in the first scene after the battle with that gang, I found something that's at the height of approximately 20 squares. How the hell can I reach that high?or should there be platforms? after all, this is a platformer, right?if there are, I can't find them anywhere, all I can hear is the terrain type I was standing on, and the weapon just at my position 83, 20, and I am at 83, 0. Any typs on how can I figure this out?and, another suggestion guys:now that we are at it, can you make the platforms audible, something like in adventure at C?and something unrelated now. Can you make enemies take damage as well? I guess it won't be that hard from a coding perspective, since the bullets can cause damage to the character, so why not to enemies as well?for example, this could be used in a strategy to get inbetween two enemies, let the bullet fly, then jump away as fast as possible so the bullet hits the other enemy, to the left or right of you.plus, I think I could kill one or two oponents with the mine at the beginning of stage 1.1and this would make it even more realistic, don't you think? in some mainstream games, enemies can do damage to other enemies, but they usually decide not to if possible. The player, however, can trick them to do so, possibly killing one another in the process, rofl.of course this must be balanced, but for starters, missfired bullets should cause damage to their target, regardless if to the player or other enemies.

I have thought that a level 1.3 with trucks is simple enogh but this level is really hard nice I have thought that if I will stand on the left truck I will have chance to beat these big guys but it wont works I need to jump out of the truck but this is hard to survive without dying.I have noticed that I can shoot the truck maybe I can destroy this.I will tell you that I love this concept very much but there is alot of to do.

I've just lost my progress, I accidentally clicked start new game and of course when you start the tutorial, it sets the game save to that level. I'm a bit surprised there isn't an overwrite save prompt when clicking new game.

I found an interesting bug, which apparently is still present in newer builds as well:Replication:1. get down to a low percentage of health so that a fall would kill you2. in the first non-tutorial stage, jump from the top of the tree platform to the right so that you hit the suspension bridge prompt on the way down.3. If done correctly, pressing enter should let you see that the fall kills you and give you the prompt to continue.4. Pressing enter loads the game and, if everything's happened as expected, you should instantly die and be prompted to continue again.5. This is an infinite death state which cannot be escaped from because the checkpoint appears to save your state in mid-air with values from before as well, meaning that the load will spawn you in a falling state.

@245 keep killing them until the stage ends. Also, jump on the trucks and grab the weapons there. If you keep killing them new weapons will spawn, clear both trucks and the space in between about three or four times, that should be enough to end the stage.

Allow Shift enter on the start game item in the main menu to skip right to level 1 with average attack and defense stats.  Skipping through all those dialogues and beating that fight every time kinda sucks.2. Allow a player to go back to the main menu by hitting escape at the respawn prompt after death.3. Work on the panning.  Especially with mines, being 5 steps away sounds pretty much the same as being 3 step away, but then when you're 2 steps away it suddenly sounds right again.4. Add a basic learn game sounds menu/dialogue.5. Kicks seem to get you attack/defense way faster than rage. In the same amount of time with the tutorial fight, you can get to 7 attack 10 defense with kicks but only 5 attack 6 defense with rage.

Hello guys. i might be stupid, but i do not still know how to get past the electric live wires. I have read the dirrections on how to do it but for some reason i just can't find the way to do it. I can get to the part where you can climb up to 20 but for some reason i can't get past that part witht falling in to the electric wires. and when i go down to like 15 i still can't find a platform to fall on so where am i going wrong on here. Can some one either pm me with the directions on where to go to land on the right platform to get past them or can someone please let me know on here please thanks.

It's nothing other than bad user experience / design flaw.I do really want to ask what the intention not to save before bosses is. The sonar are those beeping sounds when you jump. If there's a beep, there's a platform below you. If there's a whoosh, you'll fall.

@238, Most likely it's the soundPool/soundLoader system how it's coded, If it's coded in the same way of lucia's, Which am sure it is, That's vary normal, It's not bullets what are flying, It's sounds overloading.
