If that's the case your only real option is to run OCR on this book with software like FineReader. But at that point you definitely don't want to buy from the iBooks store as any purchases there have DRM so you couldn't export it out into any OCR software on either desktop or mobile. Another reason I suspect this is that the full size is over 100 MB, which is pretty huge for any book which doesn't contain either images or multimedia in general.I'm sorry I can't offer more help. You have to manually change pages and stuff, and it's just really not a fun experience if you're someone like me who likes to just sit back and listen to something read. I'd recommend using a service like RNIB bookshare instead, assuming you live in the UK of course, they distribute their material in pure DRM free EPUB / PDF formats, so you could buy something, import it to something like dropbox or ICloud drive and then use an app like voice stream reader to read it. It's a bit more of a process but well worth the extra effort.It's only a shame we don't have a similar app to VSR on android, sniffle sniffle.HTH. Trying to get a book to read on IBooks.
Trying to get a book to read on IBooks. On iOS, I have a sample of a book that I’m considering purchasing. The problem, voiceover can’t read most of the text. What is the issue and is there any way I could extract all text from an iBook should the Book be an accessible in its current form? iBooks seems to be my only option with this because everything else has been mostly unreadable at best.
