Virtual Abbicus
Hi everyone,
So, earlier on tonight, I was given a challenge to recreate the Abacus as a virtual windows application.
What is an abacus?
An Abacus is an old math tool for doing math problems tactilly. It consists of either 9 or 21 rods, each containing 4 beads, and on top of it a fifth bead separated from the others. You could create numbers on it by positioning these beads. You could get numbers from 0 to 9 on each rod. 1, 2, 3, and 4 were done by moving up the four bottom beads, and the top bead was added to any of the other beads to do 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
I didn't explain it very well, but if you know how it works, try it out.
Note: I spelled Abacus wrong in the name of the program, will fix in a newer version. This one was a prototype. Let me know what you think:
