Re: What are the differences between Samurai Shodown and Soul Calibar? Yes, you can move in all 8 directions. Again, 360 degrees of movement... And pressing up doesn't jump in Soul Calibur, you have to press up and guard, and it's more for a short hop instead of the floating jumps you see
