I think that you need space on the Windows partition, as it might copy the new update files to the partition and delete the old ones.Could be wrong.

worst comes to worst just get the iso file and do a reinstall and keep your settings, programs and files.. that should work

Actually, when I installed the update, it took me awhile to get it setup. My only advice perhaps you could let it do its thing for a few hours?
