The patch in the 1st post will be updated, Thursday evening when i can't do it sooner. Offering expantion packs, while keeping the main game fun as well. When expantions gets released, the main game also gets fixes and updates where necessary. For example, when we want to include a new expantion, the main game also gets extra rooms/areas to link to the expantion, but also to enlarge the free world to explore, with things to do etc.Please don't think we only build new rooms and areas for expantions then, that's not true, we believe that our work on the your_adventure world, won't be finished very soon. If you can list some of the typo's, it would be very helpful.@bookrage,our plan is that version 1.0 of the game will be free for all. But there will be expansion packs wich can be purchased. For example, the 1st add-on where we are currently working on, is named castle castlevania. This will be a complete new area, wich only can be explored if you purchased this expansion. If you own this add-on, you'll have the option to enable it at the start of a new game.We have plans to build a quests add-on, wich enables a pack of quests you only can play if you own it, other areas, like the castlevania one, special items etc. You can compare it like a world in an online game but in an offline setting. But we don't want to build add-ons where if you pay, you'll get better content, the free game has to be great fun as well, the add-ons just add extra stuff.An automated updater i don't know how to build, not yet, at least, but i think the links will be updated by hand, and the players will have to download the new versions, till an auto-updater can be figured out. But no promises. But i agree that some extra activities should be added you can do after completing the quests. Do you have suggestions apart from the previous ones i mentioned? Am very curious.As a sidenote, the first add-on is in the works, wich will open up a complete new area, with seasonal activities, a special general store, wich will buy stuff you can't sell anywhere else, more quests etc. We are currently designing it and working on it. Of course this add-on will be released when this beta is stable.edit:About the combat, we know it isindeed simplistic,and can be easely cheated, by continuely hitting the h button. But combat is just one of the activities, not the most important one. But we quite like the idea the player hastwo choices, 1. the player can continuely hit the h button. Or 2, take on the challenge and hit the h button when the player is told to press it. This is up to the player on wich way to play. When you try to restart the game and try to create your character again, does it work then? Some things in the character creation did change, like pressing enter after some messages. And i noticed when using NVDA for example, that some messages don't get spoken. What i want to ask, did you hear the message if you are feeling comfortable with your given age or did you hear something else? Sorry, for these silly questions, but i want to nail down the problem for my understanding so i can give more solid help.@giovani,I quickly wrote a small patch, wich you can find in the 1st post. I can remember this problem occuring every so often, but after restarting the game, and starting a new game did solve the issue, but after installing this patch, and after a new game, should fix the issue in future i hope.Appologies for this hasty and probably inaccurate message, but am in a hurry. Your_adventure beta 2 released Hi all,After more then a year of silence, personal trouble, why i wasn't able to work on the game as frequent as i wished, i am proud to announce we have released beta 2 of the your_adventure audiogame!Lot and lot has changed when koma7.2 and i started on this project a few years ago. It all started as a joke from koma, and i started putting stuff together, we never would have imagined the game to be evolved to what it is now. It more and more gets the shape of a codebase on wich we can add stuff with more ease when the project grows. Also with great thanks to hatlor, who discovers bugs as soon as he starts playing the thing, so without koma, hatlor, and all players from aug.net, this never would become reality.
