Re: doubts with manamon2 If you got it late in the game, did you get it tonics to make sure it has proper train points, and did you apply those train points primarily to attack? What does the stat checker say about its physical attack?Fiendour was never an attacking monster. It has always had only decent attack with good defenses and plenty of HP, giving it a lot of sticking power. If you stack it up next to something like Skeletone, Maustadon or even Bombusect, in raw damage, it will probably lose out. Re: doubts with manamon2 Zuckuss, it's your first playthrough. Trust me, my first playthrough wasn't all that stellar either. When you don't always know what's coming, it can seem like you're not getting good results because you're playing very sub-optimally.I've beaten both games over a dozen times now. There are some original manamon which got upgraded, and that's cool, but most of my favourites - either because of typing, stats, moves, etc. - are from manamon 2. Before you write off the new roster as not as good as the old one, I hope you take a moment to actually bear in mind the experience of someone with the sort of experience I've got. And no, this isn't down to personal preference, this is empirical data I'm talking here. I'll give some examples.Insect is a more powerful type than ever, and there are several good insects in manamon 2. They include Symphonid, who can hit ridiculously hard with Plague, Sylphantom, who can hit with Beyond Bolt, Swarm Storm and Broil and is quite speedy and bulky, Mantasteel, who can literally solo at least one of the stadium master fights and might actually be able to take the other as well, and Centiplex, who is an early-game insect with not too much sticking power but a fantastic ability in Bugout which makes it hit really hard when either it or its foe is below half health (did I forget to mention it also gets Powerfang, to cut that foe's HP in half?).Magic is no longer as overpowered as once it was, but many more manamon get magic attacks, and Psychedelic Spell is actually a very nice move because of its mechanics involving confusion and berserk.Volanteral is one of the new dragons, and I seriously challenge you to find a better nonmythical dragon. Slow as dirt, but hits harder than almost everything else and has a great ability which keeps it alive.Things like Bulderdash which can use their blazing speed instead of attack to do damage, plus combos like Rev Up and Protect for relatively cheap setup.Mightauras; 'nuff said. This thing is a monster.And I could carry on, but why?I'm not saying all manamon 2 mons are good. No, they really aren't. There are plenty of duds, and plenty of mons who need one or two things to push them over the top (Banshreek, I'm looking at you). But for me at least, the games are almost night and day as far as gameplay goes. Manamon 1's roster is plagued by bad moves, poor coverage and accuracy penalties. Manamon 2 gives wider diversity, better moves even if there's still work to be done, and more equipment and neat abilities to play with. Even if you don't opt to use the reward, in some cases a piece of gear of some kind, you can always sell it and get more gold. You get your manamons at the end of the game if i remember correctly. True, you might not be able to import all Manamon 1, but importing your current party still works in the demo version of Manamon 1, so I understand. SOmeone will need to confirm that tough, If it does work, my advice would be to just buy Manamon 2, and trade for what you can't get in the demo. I mean, lots of people just told me that manamon2 is better than manamon1, but I haven't tried it myself. The second manamon, I mean.
