Unfortunately, that card battle isn't the right one. It might even be called battle cards. I don't remember the person who talked about it though!

Re: game suggestions for the quentin c playroom/rs games

There is actually a little fan-created game called card battle, which lets you use a normal deck of playing cards as battling units. So the aces become commandos and depending on numbers and stuff you put down, you end up firing missiles and stuff. I's a bit weird but actually sounds like a really fun way to play cards. Unfortunately I don't know the actual website where the game rules are shown and googling isn't even helping anymore. I hope the website isn't dead because ithad the rules in a readable format.

Checkers people, Sunlight once checkers!http://www.checkerslounge.comI don't care what versions that the playroom could bring to its variety of games, I just want some type of checkers! In addition, I'd jump on the playroom more frequently.

You forgot Candy Land, Life, Trouble, Clue, Mouse Trap, and I'm sure there's others I'm missing. As long as the games are free and they are creddited to their respectful owners it should be fine.

Re: game suggestions for the quentin c playroom/rs games

Lost cities might be problematic due to copywrite of the game, and we already have several accessible versions of Hearts, however other than that these sound good suggestions indeed. It's actually getting rather hard to find games that don't! already have accessible versions these days, since people have been producing card, word and puzzle games for such a long time. I'd actually like to see things move forward a little and produce some of the board games that incoorporate rules of an rpg, games like talisman or black tower or tokeo battle, they're quite a common thing now. They wouldn't be as hard to program as a full on rpg since nothing in them is impossible without dice, eg, combat just means rolling two dice for youself and the enemy and seeing what you get, however they have fun action cards for things like dungeon rooms or monsters, and a lot of randomness, indeed many include different board configurations. If anyone ever playe
d atmosphere, the video boardgame, this is the sort of thing I'm talking about.

game suggestions for the quentin c playroom/rs games

as the title says, im creating this thread for users to throw out suggestions, for new games we would like to see on the quentin c playroom, and rs games platform. hopefully the admins and devs of playroom/rs games will take these games into consideration. here are a list of games below with descriptions of themMancala board game:The Mancala 'board' is made up of two rows of six holes, or pits. Four marbles are placed in each of the 12 holes. Each player has a 'store' to the right side of the Mancala board. The game begins with one player picking up all of the pieces in any one of the holes on his side.Moving counter-clockwise, the player deposits one of the stones in each hole until the stones run out. If you run into your own store, deposit one piece in it. If you run into your opponent's store, skip it. If the last piece you drop is in your own store, you get a free turn. If the last piece you drop is in an empty hole on your side, you capture that piece and any pieces in the hole directly opposite. Always place all captured pieces in your store. The game ends when all six spaces on one side of the Mancala board are empty. The player who still has pieces on his side of the board when the game ends captures all of those pieces. Count all the pieces in each store. The winner is the player with the most pieces.hearts card game:How to playMany trick-taking games are not directly related to Bridge or Whist. Perhaps the foremost one is Hearts, which is truly one of the greatest card games ever devised for four players, each playing individually. The standard 52-card pack is used.Object of the GameTo be the player with the lowest score at the end of the game. When one player hits the agreed-upon score or higher, the game ends; and the player with the lowest score wins. Card Values/ScoringAt the end of each hand, players count the number of hearts they have taken as well as the queen of spades, if applicable. Hearts count as one point each and the queen counts 13 points. Each heart - 1 point The Q - 13 points The aggregate total of all scores for each hand must be a multiple of 26. The game is usually played to 100 points (some play to 50). When a player takes all 13 hearts and the queen of spades in one hand, instead of losing 26 points, that player scores zero and each of his opponents score an additional 26 points. The DealDeal the cards one at a time, face down, clockwise. In a four-player game, each is dealt 13 cards; in a three-player game, the 2 of diamonds should be removed, and each player gets 17 cards; in a five-player game, the 2 of diamonds and 2 of clubs should be removed so that each player will get 10 cards.    The PlayThe player holding the 2 of clubs after the pass makes the opening lead. If the 2 has been removed for the three handed game, then the 3 of clubs is led. Each player must follow suit if possible. If a player is void of the suit led, a card of any other suit may be discarded. However, if a player has no clubs when the first trick is led, a heart or the queen of spades cannot be discarded. The highest card of the suit led wins a trick and the winner of that trick leads next. There is no trump suit. The winner of the trick collects it and places it face down. Hearts may not be led until a heart or the queen of spades has been discarded. The queen does not have to be discarded at the first opportunity. The queen can be led at any time.lost cities card game:description taken from audio games data baseThe lost cities is a very unique and strategical card game that can be played on the Iphone, either online against friends or against several computer opponents. Designed by the renowned game designer and mathematician Reiner Knizia, The game itself is simple to learn and play, but very difficult to master and will take carefull planning, skills at weighing up different alternatives and odds, and occasionally a bit of luck in order to win. . Lost cities gets it's name from the fact that the theme of the game comprises sending and making money by outfitting expeditions to lost cities in five environments, the red ancient volcanos, the amazon rain forests in green, the white polar regions, yellow desert sands or the watery blue realm of Neptune. These five colours form the five sutes of the cards played in the game, however don't let the theme fool you, you'll need more than just a whip and quick reflexes to get around this one, sinse despite it's theme, Lost cities is first and formost a game of intelligence and skill. With some similarities to both Uno and Patience/Solitare, Lost cities is played by two players with a custom pack of cards in five coloured sutes comprising the numbers 2-10 and three coin cards. The aime is to place cards on the table in five coloured lanes to form runs. Each turn, you must either play a card from your hand to one of the lanes, or discard it to one of
