Re: is malware bights good?

Hi there,@1: Malwarebytes used to be rather a scanner than antivirus. Later they added real-time scans, but that's not the only thing good antivirus should have.Kaspersky internet security for example has not just a top ranked malware scanner, but also very good behavioral analysis and ransomware protection, its own firewall, sandboxing mechanism (not a complete sandbox, but allows you to control apps permissions), webcam protection, microphone protection (you will receive a request before access to those devices is allowed to any untrusted app), built-in adds blocker, emails scanner and anti-theft system connectet to your My Kaspersky, though it's probably not that effective like on mobile phones, because of lacking ability of laptops to process mobile signal.Plus there are few bonus tools, such as secure file shredder, system's vulnerability scanner etc.A licence for one year costs about 20 dollars, if I remember right. You can decide yourself, what is a better deal.@6: during four years of their governance, Trump's administrative did several such moves. They excluded Kaspersky from US federal computers, they started a strong campaign against Chinese Huawey, excluded russian diplomats during the Skripaľov incident, in all cases appealing to other countries to do the same thing, without any proofs. It looks rather like Trump doesn't like non-ammerican companies in his country, than there was something wrong with these companies. It fits trump's republican political program, so it's no wonder things like this are happening.Best regardsRastislav

Baring these links in mind, it might be best to air on the side of caution and avoid using Kaspersky products on devices containing sensitive data

Re: is malware bights good?

Isn't Malware bytes now more setup to work with Windows Security? I remember reading something about the two security softwares not interfering with each other and more working together in scans, mostly using the Malwarebytes GUI interface.    though right, there are better rated anti virus and malware suites out there, though how accessible they are is another story. malwarebytes though seems to be one recommended if you want something at a bit of a reasonable price, especially with the bundle deals for multiple computers.

Re: is malware bights good?

These days, it's not really an antivirus you should be in search for. Believe it or not Windows Security (formally Windows Defender) comes with everything you'd want in terms of an antivirus. It's free, fully accessible, non-intrusive. I mean, you don't even have to install the damn thing! No, what you actually want to look for is an antimalware or ransomeware solution, which MalwareBytes is still the recommended choice.
