Re: microsoft office 2016 and jaws 16+

I agree that we shouldn't have to turn off automatic list numbering to get JAWS to read the list's numbers. I was just putting the idea forward as a temporary work around until the issue is resolved.

Re: microsoft office 2016 and jaws 16+

@Theo, if you have used Mirosoft word 2010, could you tell me, what is the performance of Jaws when reading long documents?@Figment, autonumbered lists and bullit lists are very important to me, and there is no reason why Jaws should not read them. I am contacting freedom scientific technical support for this issue.

hi.as post 2 said you should down grade to office 2010 or 2007. 2013 is also working ok but sometimes the jaws can lagg very much with it.

Re: microsoft office 2016 and jaws 16+

I am using Office 2007 and don't have any problems with it.Here's a possible work around:While I was setting up Leasy, the set up instruction recommended turning off automatic list bulleting and numbering. At the time I couldn't think of a reason why, but the problem you described sounds like it might be the reason. The list options are in the auto correction settings of the proofing options.I haven't tested this so this is just a theory.hth

Ok. I guess I'll downgrade all the way to 2010. That's the version I was using before my harddrive crashed.

Re: microsoft office 2016 and jaws 16+

Hello, I would suggest you download and use microsoft office 2010. The reason is because jaws doesn't read numbered elements, bullits, and letters you generate to lines in microsoft word. To demonstrate this, I'm going to provide you with an example of the problem I'm describing:1. Audio.2. Games.3. Forum.4. Off-topic.Now, jaws does not read those numbers I attached to those lines, and that is a big problem. Otherwise, I would tell you to go for microsoft office 2013.Cheers.

microsoft office 2016 and jaws 16+

Does anybody else think Microsoft office 2016 has worse accessibility than prior versions? I've been using it for a couple months now, and so far, my biggest complaint is that the word spellchecker is completely unaccessible. I've also had issues with protected documents in word, and excel simply seems slower now.I'm going to downgrade to a version of office with a functional spellchecker. Does anybody know what the most recent version is with a good spellchecker?
