Attacking trading ships is generally your best source of income, however it is likely to get you flagged as criminal, so start off with abilities to run away, avoid criminal flags and land without detection.generally pirate is a difficult profession at the start because your essentially always on the run, and usually always weaker than most military ships, though you can also supplement your income with a bit of trading of illegal goods too, since generally with your skills to avoid illegal flags you can trade high priced, none legal stuff like slaves and drugs, indeed if your going to make cash trading drugs are your friend ;d.On the other hand, once you get a fighter and can go to a faction your side is at war with and start pirating them instead, things become far easier, until you can start plundering planets and such.Imho pirate is the most difficult profession in the game, or at least at the start, I've never got up to the empire stage myself. Re: smugglers5 pirate profession, how to start pirating? You tried joining your alliance when talking to your local governer? Other than that, I would just plunder ships for cargo, and then sell it. Might want to find enemies to do that with though, since attacking your own will get you flagged rather quickly. smugglers5 pirate profession, how to start pirating? Hello, has anyone tried the pirate profession in smugglers5? If so, can they give some info or hints as how to start generating money? From the starting abillities I have, it doesn't seem like I can start looting ships just yet, and most of the pirate hideout functions are also unavailable to me right now like plundering them or buying them. Anything you recommend for me to do until I ahve the nescesarry skills to start doing what a space pirate is supposed to do?
